The environment is being harmed because the immigrants who cross the border leave behind clothing, empty food cans and bottles. The Border Patrol is also harming the environment because the fence is disrupting the migration cycles of animals. The Criminal Trafficking Operations are attracted to places where there are no Border Patrols because it guarantees them a journey without interruptions (“Securing Our Border...”). These criminal trafficking operations target National Parks and forests along the U.S.-Mexican border, which are becoming extremely dangerous for people to walk in. These parks are becoming dangerous because drug trafficking organizations smuggle in drugs through National Parks and forests. It is easier for the drug trafficking
The problem of drugs coming over into the United States from Mexico is not new, but it is serious and in spite of many efforts by American law enforcement and border authorities, it continues day after day. This paper reviews the problem from several perspectives and brings to light attempts the U.S. has made to stop drug trafficking on our border with Mexico. The biggest issue regarding border security is the power of the drug cartels, and the majority of emphasis in this paper is directed towards the cartels.
Drug smuggling has been an issue in the United States since the 1960s and the Border Patrol has made many efforts to stop drugs from crossing our borders. The Purpose of the Border Patrol is to secure and keep our borders safe. Recently their focus has been on illegal immigration and drug smuggling. Drug smuggling has become an increasing issue and the efforts of the Border Patrol are being pushed to stop these illegal activities. The influx of drugs into the U.S. has many effects on our country as a whole and as smugglers get creative in finding new methods to get around the Border Patrol, it becomes harder for them to stop it. This may be why it seems too easy to get drugs across the border. With new techniques of smuggling it allows for more drugs to enter the U.S. and it leave the Border Patrol on their toes and on a constant lookout for these new techniques.

In the last decades, narco trafficking and organized crime had emerged as the main security threats in Latin America. Deviant globalization increase their power by establishing connections with similar organizations in other parts of the world, like cocaine distribution networks, for example. This perceived danger increases the pressure on the governments for effective solutions, and some of them consider that these problems had overwhelmed the capabilities of the local police. Consequently, the intervention of military forces would be necessary to secure the stability of the countries. However, the use of force as the only solution is the outcome of a misunderstanding of the root causes that generates them. This paper presents the research for a general pattern in the region that is helpful to understand how the civil society perceives the failures of governance and how the networks of illegal activities exploit this perception.

Freedom is an undeniable right that this Country was founded upon. Yet even today, the ongoing practice of human trafficking continues on a disturbingly large scale. Well said by the President, “It ought to concern every person, because it’s a debasement of our common humanity. It ought to concern every community, because it tears at the social fabric. It ought to concern every business, because it distorts markets. It ought to concern every nation, because it endangers public health and fuels violence and organized crime. I’m talking about the injustice, the outrage, of

In 1814 Author Francis Scott key coined the phrase “Land of the Free” in a poem that would go on to inspire the National Anthem. (Biography.com Editors). Those four simple words have held different truths for many throughout history, and the struggle to validate those words continues today. Up until last semester, I truly had no idea of the magnitude of human trafficking in the United States. Living in the Bible belt, we tend to be sheltered and naive to the corruptions of the world. Last semester, I was required to do some research regarding human trafficking I was appalled at my findings. I even had my husband read an article to bring him insight and awareness. I know Ashton Kutcher is a huge advocate for human trafficking awareness and trying to put an end to this heinous crime. I am aware of the Tennessee website for human trafficking. I received training in identifying human trafficking in the health care setting through my education, here at King University. If I am recalling correctly, we also had a training module through
Also, there is the matter of trust and fear. Victims are often, for example, frightened to believe they can accept help without owing something back. Some survivors are too afraid because they fear their traffickers too much to accept any services. Furthermore, it aggravates victims to find out that the time is takes for cases to be prosecuted and to gain protections is very extensive. Intensifying the existing laws to better defend human trafficking victims is critical. The United States Government, in 2000, certified the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act. This act helps prosecute traffickers and support victims. Since then the number of recognized victims of trafficking has risen as well as trials and social service providers working with survivors. Because of this it gives researchers an opportunity to track and study the issue deeper and come up with new solutions (Family Violence Prevention Fund, 2005).
Man was born free, and he is everywhere in chains. One man thinks himself the master of others, but remains more of a slave than they.

I will give each country’s legal tradition and their major influences on crime definition, rate, and measurement. In this assignment I will analyze the extent to which crime statistics collected in different nations can adequately be compared.

Despite the fact that not every country in Latin America fits in this mold, history and data supports this impression.
