The author is keen in analyzing the issue of excessive consumption of alcohol among college students. He acknowledges that excessive drinking is a common problem among college and university students and wants to explore why such students indulge in such a risky behavior. The author uses a reliable number of students when looking at the drinking problem and chooses the correct age, which is students below 21 years (Dodd et al, 2010). In essence, the article is very precise about the major causes of obesity, which is poor eating habits and lack of exercises. The journal indicates that a huge number of individuals do not engage in simple exercises such as walking and weight lifting (Wolin, 2009). Most individuals spend most of their time in their cars and do not take lifts while at work which increases the number of obesity cases. In essence, the article is very clear when it comes to the reason why there is an increase in the number of obesity cases. However, the journal does not show why there is an increase in the number of obesity cases among the children. Most parents are keen on what they give to their children in terms of a balanced diet, which means that such children should not face such cases. The journal does not focus on the major issue which causes obesity among the children. It only focuses on the major causes of obesity among the adults and does not expound on the causes among the children.
The journal should have looked at all the causes which lead to obesity among the entire population. In essence, the journal ought to look at the vulnerable ages and gender to obesity instead of generalizing the whole obesity issue (Zamosky, 2014).
