It was November, 2007. A phone call that my daughter was in the principal’s office in the fetus position hiding under the desk. That day started a long road of healing for our family. Our children suffered with PTSD due to the abuse they received from their bus driver. I was experiencing overwhelming emotions I couldn’t shut down. I entered therapy to process trauma from my past that was being triggered by attuning and caring for my traumatized children. I had vowed to break the cycle of abuse from my family of origin and now my children had been abused. I stepped into a recovery program at my church. I began to lead groups to support woman struggling with their sexual abuse
