Truganini was a determined, intelligent, resourceful, resilient, woman who obtained an incredible mental and physical stamina. Truganini is widely considered to be the last full blood Aboriginal Tasmanian. Truganini was born on Bruny Island in 1812, nine years after British settlement was established. She was a daughter of Mangana, who was the chief of the Bruny Island people. Truganini was courageous in the face of harsh and brutal times. She overcame Sexual and Physical abuse. A single class in ceramics turned him to art and a move to California College of Arts and Crafts and subsequent studies at California School of Fine Arts 1956–1958 (now the San Francisco Art Institute).

Noel Gabriel Carpio, 106, of Tucson, Arizona died of natural causes Tuesday August 8th, 2096. He was surrounded by his loved ones as he inevitably passed.
