Everyone has something special that they cherish, whether it came from a loved one or a loving memory. Something that I treasure the most is a picture of me and my friends in an eighth grade event taken in a photo booth. I would say that this object would be in the class of a souvenir. It came into my possession during the winter ball from the man who ran the photo booth. Under the circumstances of an eighth grade activity/trip.
The most vivid memory I recall is of the first trip I ever made to my happy place, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Nothing could ever compare to those 5 days of pure happiness, without a single worry in the world. I truly believe this one little trip shaped the way I want to live the rest of my life.

Most people are inspired by celebrities or adult figures in their life but for me, im inspired by someone a few months older than me. Her name is Jaclyn West. I was having a hard time writing this paper because I really just wrestled with the idea of who inspires me. I prayed about who I should write my paper on and then it came to me, Jaclyn. I met Jaclyn in the second grade and she has been a light to me ever since. Our friendship grew as the years went on and I noticed a change in my life, a positive change, a craving to know more and more about Jesus.

Language is a key part of any family, community, culture and the human race. Without language the world today would be much different. From cavemen, to the Egyptian use of hieroglyphics, to Old English, to more than 6,500 languages spoken around the world today, the advances that humans have made in language is remarkable and inspiring. The ability to speak, read, write and understand more than one language is also remarkable and expands the liberties in life, especially for young people.
