Dear, Dad. I'm emailing you this rather than talking face to face about it because I feel that whenever we talk it ends up with us arguing rather than making any progress. I ask that you read the entire message before you do anything else. I also ask that you take some time out of your day to really consider what I have to say. The final thing I ask of you before this message really begins is that you try to not take anything I say in this message as disrespectful. If I didn't respect you, you wouldn't be reading this email right now, because I would not have sent it because I wouldn't care what you think. If I didn't respect you I wouldn't ask you questions or tell you things because if I didn't respect you I just would not care …show more content…
So I understand that neither of us will ever be world champions of cleaning, but we also both need to make an effort to keep things clean. I would like to propose an idea for how we would do things. We would take out trash bags once they have become largely filled and whoever notices it takes it out, also we would keep all dirty clothes in 2 laundry baskets, one for me and one for you, and every week on Saturday we would do the laundry, I clean my basket and you clean yours, also as far as plates/bowls/silverware, whoever uses them cleans them right after and puts them away, instead of having them pile up in the sink. As far as who cleans rooms, I believe that it is fair if I clean my room, you clean your room, you clean the toilet and floor and I will clean the bath and sink, and we both clean the living room and laundry room. We can talk face to face about the spare room and what it will be used for, etc. I would also like to propose a monthly computer maintenance day, which I am already doing but would also like for you to participate in to have your computers operate better so that we can prevent times such as when the computers refuse to work when you need to get pictures in for a deadline, thus preventing …show more content…
If Terry or anyone else has a complaint about me or something to tell me, let them talk to me about it directly. If I am absent/late to school because of myself, there are already consequences such as having to catch up on something because I missed it, so you do not have to worry about punishing me for being late, because there are already punishments that come of the problem's very existence. There are many more responsibilities that I hope we can talk about face to face as well. Please do not tell me I have not earned these rights and responsibilities, because if I don't get them, I can never prove that I am worthy of having them. I understand that you will always want to, and will, have a level of control over every part of me, which I understand and do not mind, my problem is when it seems that you want to take full control over it all. So, I ask that you allow me both these rights and responsibilities so that I may have a higher and better control over myself, while still
Respect is the admiration of one’s abilities, qualities and achievements. I believe most people don't cherish their achievements rather than uphold their abilities to someone else. The respect you gain are driven from you’re qualities. The qualities you perform during an event, a meeting and a argument are delicate pieces that connect to gain one's
From the beginning of God’s creation, God desired to have sons and daughters that would be in a true relationship with him. God in his sovereign grace created mankind, and placed them in the garden, where they were to “glorify God and enjoy him forever.” Although, the perfect harmony between God and man was temporarily disrupted through man’s failure, God in his grace sought to restore mankind back into a full relationship with him. Through Christ’s perfect obedience and sacrifice, even unto death, God enabled people once more to enjoy a fruitful covenant relationship with him. Through the death of his only begotten Son, God was, and is able to give the Holy Spirit – as a down payment and an internal witness to true sonship – to dwell inside of all those, who would put their faith and trust in him as their Savior (cf. Eph. 1:14; Rom. 8:15). Trevor Burke, a New
Everyone wants to be respected. It’s in our nature, but in order to obtain respect, first of all one has to respect oneself. Second, one has to show respect to others in order to gain respect from them. If one doesn’t show respect to someone, that person may often feel blown off and lose respect for you. Respect in my eyes is like a math equation loyalty plus duty equals respect. respect is gained in conducting ones self in a way that others can stand
“No matter the situation that you’re in, I just want you to know that you always a choice to make,” my father Nicholas R. Hines repeated to me for the what seemed like the millionth time in my life. As I a child I very rarely saw my dad, but when I did, it was in a court ordered supervised visitation center. It wasn’t until I was ten or eleven that I realized why this was necessary. I discovered that my father had made some poor choices when he was drunk and angry with his wife. Regardless, my sister and I love our dad dearly, even though we know the mistakes he has made in his life. That is one of the reasons I decided to Interview Nick Hines.
Showing respect to someone means you act in a way that shows you care about their feelings and well-being. Showing respect for others include things like not calling people mean names, treating people with courtesy, caring enough about yourself that you don 't do things you know can hurt you. Respect must be earned, it cannot be ordered or demanded and, once gained, it can easily be destroyed. Respect can be something that is earned. Respect is often thought of as earned or built over time. Often, continued caring interactions are required to maintain or increase feelings of respect among individual
What is respect? Is the way people should be treated, how you would want to be treated, and should it come naturally or should it be taught? Respect is what are world is built on, I feel that the phrases like “reap what you sow” explain what respect works like. For example to when I am rude to someone they tend to be rude back, the same works with respect. When being disrespectful to someone you most likely will disrespect you right back. Not everyone follows these thoughts of respect. Actions like these can lead to dangerous places, people begin to break boundaries that were once built on respect.
Respect is something that is earned and it is not earned through the things that you say, but the things that you do. If you are trying to earn someone’s respect I guarantee you that if you just talked to them all of the time they would not like for that. You have to prove it through the things that you do and the ways that you act. This was a big thing back in the west. If a new guy came to town he did not earn respect through all of the people he talked to and the stories that he told, because those were just stories. He had to earn it by what he did. This is where actions really speak louder than words. Respect is also something that everyone in life is looking for, whether they know it or not and sometimes they think they have done everything to deserve it, when really they have not done the most important thing; prove they can follow up and what they say. You have to be able to back up all of the words that come out of your mouth with actions because there is just talking about doing something and then there is
My name is Tobra and I am a sixteen year old high school student from America! I come from a family of seven and am the oldest of five kids. I live my mom Bridgett and stepdad Robert, as well as my brother Brodee, my brother Naithyn, my sister Braylee, and my sister Brynne. Since we are a big family our house is very busy and hectic, nonetheless, it is always filled with love and laughter.
Most people go through life and always hear about the word respect, but they don’t know what it means. Respect is the esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person. There are things in life you need to hold in respect. Respect for yourself, respect for others, and respect for property. Respect is taught to people everywhere and it is even taught to them in their religions. Respect is the very aspect that keeps everything in your life.
I don't know when this message will get to you. I don't know when I'll send it. I guess it will probably be over the phone because making you wait for a physical copy would just be really cruel. You see, yesterday I went off the rails. I exploded on you and then I poured my heart out to you. I have never felt such a huge wave of emotion in my life. When I poured my heart out to you, you comforted me. I wish you didn't. I really do. All you did was give me false hope for what was about to happen. After I came back and calmed down, I realized you still didn't care. You were just going to do the same thing and give me the same reasoning. I told you what I wanted. I told you that you could really do what you want. Instead of just agreeing,
Beloved Family! It has been a joy partaking together for this 21 Days of Consecration. My heart rejoices over the personal testimonies received from many of you resulting from this 21 Days of Consecration. WOW! You may ask, what now? What's next? Remember consecration is not just a few days of being set apart, then going back to the same things that served as a distraction for deeper intimacy with God but rather consecration is a lifestyle. We are God's consecrated people cleansed by the blood of Jesus! You are at a new place now, a new level and let NOTHING bring you down! Live to the Glory of God! Hold dear and near everything that Holy Spirit has spoken and revealed to you during this time. Godly habits that were strengthened or
In my opinion this is partly correct and also partly incorrect. I don’t believe it necessarily has to show admiration in something to have respect, for example I would have respect for a stranger ive just met on the street, I do not admire them just have respect for them. Respect to me is not judging others and seeing everybody and everything for what they are. In my view I believe respect is a universal characteristic. 8 billion people in this world all very unique with clearly distinguishable characteristics but respect is a part of their characteristics in their own way. Christians respect the Bible and Muslims respect the Quran. These are two different religions with two
It takes up all my time just to keep up with school, so I’m not very sociable), and I would like to wash your dishes with mine (once a week), as I have been doing. I only require that you leave the dishes in the kitchen after use so they can be washed. In addition, I do not mind taking out the trash, but I wish we could rinse and separate any solid plastics, Styrofoam, aluminum, glass, and cardboard for recycling. Then I can take the recyclables with me when I go home, and the trash can will fill up slower and need taking out less
My mom always told me that if I wanted people to give you respect I have to do the same to them. If you
I was born in Leon, in the Mexican state of Guanajuato, Mexico, on August 15, 1999, at Saint Luis General Hospital. The day of my birth, my father decided to name me Fabian. While growing up in Wisconsin, some people found it difficult to pronounce my name correctly, so my friends shorten it to Fab. My parents moved to Racine in 1999 because a lot of our relatives had already moved to Racine.
