Do you have things that define you? Well everyone does. Things that define me are music, my family, and my birthday. First I love music. I love it I listen to it all the time. Doing homework, in class, sleeping. All the time it helps me function. When I have panic attacks I listen to music until someone comes home or the attack ends. It is very calming. My favorite type of music is alternative. I like music by Panic! At The Disco, My Chemical Romance, and Fall out Boy. Music Is just good for the soul.

This is a huge component for me. Music allows me to express myself. When I want to get pumped up and have lots of energy during my workout I’ll turn on rock and roll music real loud to get that extra burst of energy. I like to listen to music when I am down on myself. When I want to forget about all the stress in life and just have a great time I turn to music. Music can put me in a way better mood after a terrible day or a long day at school or work. People like music to remind them of events , especially the happiest times in life. Music can take you back to a time in your life and reminds you that everything comes to an end. Music has showed me that there are stages in your life and I can’t dread on the past, I just keep going and living life to the
I never thought that I would be saving someone life from drowning. That was until my friends and I did help someone. Which was something that happened very fast.
Listen to music can help relief stress, listen to music that I like can help me to being disconnect from the things happens around me and can make me feel relax.
It’s Thursday, September 15 my supervisor Sherry Smith calls me into her office and tells me I have to go to Northwest Miami-Dade to evaluate a family of four. The first thing that comes into my mind is, “Oh great another Hispanic family.” She explains that there have been several domestic abuse complaints and they need me to be there by 6 o’clock today. I look at the time and it’s already 4:50 PM. Our office is in Fort Lauderdale; all I can think about is the traffic while making assumptions of the family. The last thing she ends with is, “Call me if you need me, I don’t want another melt-down.” In my last journal entry, I wrote about how I was in Northwest Miami-Dade and I had my third Hispanic family, but our values didn’t coincide even
Music, it helps the world go ‘round. Whatever kind of music you like, how often you listen to it, it's all up to you. Most likely, you will enjoy many different genres. Often times, it helps you express yourself beyond speech. And like the French poet Victor Hugo said, “ music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that cannot remain silent.”
Music is an art form that appears in every culture of the world. For thousands of years it has been an important part of the human experience. Music has been used for entertainment, as a way to pass on stories, and as a form of artistic expressions. Each person has their own preference of music of music they like, but most people like music in some form. Music has also been used by therapists patients with mental and physical health issues and achieved good results.
When I am feeling down music is my go to. It helps me cheer up and it gets me back to the old me. Hip Hop and R&B music helps me relax when it has been a difficult day. I usually get headaches a lot, and it tends to helps with my pain. I focus more when I am listening to the type of music that I really want to connect to at that time, and it helps me get things done faster. When I do not listen to music, I feel that I am not in my right state of mind. Anytime I get frustrated I must listen to music to calm myself down so I do not blow things out of proportion. When I am depressed, it helps me not think about what is going on in my life.
It was just the beginning of February. The winter cold, brutal, and yet normal for the people living in Michigan. My best friend Brian, his uncle Craig, and I were driving back together from Craig’s up north cottage. Brian and I were riding passenger with Craig in his Chevy Silverado pick-up. We were coming back from the annual Perchville Polar Bear Plunge that took place in Tawas, Michigan. A lot was on my mind since it was the second semester of my senior year, and graduation was right around the corner. I had no idea what I wanted to do, or where my future would take me.
My is name Kyra Alexandra Avila Kepfer. Kyra is my mom’s name and Alexandra comes from my dad’s middle name “Alexander”. My Dad’s last name, Avila, is from Spain and Guatemala. My mom 's last name, Kepfer, is German. My mom was originally going to call me Katherine Andrea. My names meaning is light, throne, and sun. Since my mom’s name is also Kyra my family calls me Kyrita which is my name in spanish. At times my mom will call me “Alex” which is short for Alexandra. My mom has always called me that and my family has called me Kyrita for as long as I can remember. Many strangers pronounce my name Kira which kinda gets annoying after a while but it 's understandable. To my family my name means a fun, lovable, and active 15 year old girl who loves to spend time with family and friends. I like my name because its original and not common. The fact that my name means the sun is interesting because it 's so unique and bright, which is how I want my future to be. If i had the chance to change my name i wouldn 't because i 'm used to it and i feel like it defines me as a person. I’m grateful that my mom named me Kyra and i 'll always embrace it.
It seemed as if we had only been at school for about an hour before it was time for
The training ground was outside and depending on what we needed it for was able to instantly change its terrain. I walked over to a nearby basket and pulled out an old wooden bow and a quiver full of arrows.
I began storytelling long before I could read or write. But it was only when I began writing that I realized how much more complicated crafting a narrative was than I initially thought.
Everything was so dandy and swell until the day that my sister came home with a C on her report card. I always looked up to Hailey and wanted to be as smart as her until that day. Back in the 3rd grade started the chain of events that would soon shape the guarded self conscious girl I am today.
Music is apart of everyone’s life. We listen to it daily on the radio. We hum melodies when we have the song stuck in our head. Music is a huge part of my life and it has helped me tremendously. I think every genre is good and has its ups and downs. I don’t enjoy maybe 3 or 4 genres but I will listen to the rest of them, from classic rock to rap.
For me music is an escape to another world where I can loose myself even for just a few minutes while i’m driving or doing my homework. Music is like a book you have to take it one note at a time. There is a lot of things to help people escape like sports but music is mine.
