The word "hero" can be seen differently by many people. Some people see heroes as ones who put their life on the line serving our country. Other people see heroes as those we see on TV. For example, many consider Superman, Batman, and Thor to be classified as super heroes.
Heroes can also be people who change someone's life in a positive way. They can help others overcome a big obstacle or even just be a positive example in their life. What all heroes have in common are that they all make some type of difference, whether it may be big or small. Many people see a professional athlete as their hero while others may see a teacher as their hero. Whoever it may be, these people made a difference. They changed this persons life. They
Most people refer to heroes as the guy that fights crime in the movie, or the prince that saves the life of the princess, but lets get real here, in our life, a hero can be anyone from a paramedic, fire fighter or cancer survivor. It is someone who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. But forget all that, I’m here to tell you that the word hero is ridiculously overused these days.
In todays society heros to us are celebrities or superheroes but in reality ordinary people can be heroes too. A hero is a person who brings out the good in people and makes us want to bring positivity to the world.
To numerous people a hero is a person with supernatural gifts and great gallantry. It is someone that would save lives and help make the world a better place like Superman for example. A list of these mainstream heroes can extended a mile long, however, that is not the case in reality. Real world heroes are seen much differently from fictional characters. People are labeled heroes based on two words: positive impact.
Heroes are defined differently depending on who you are asking. Heroes are based on backgrounds, families, perspectives, and so much more. Based on what I have witnessed and been through, I believe a hero is someone who positively makes a difference in the lives of others through their actions and experiences. Heroes are supposed to make us feel safer and are supposed to make us feel better about ourselves. A hero is supposed to overcome difficult situations and help everyone believe that anything is possible. Bo Meagher is my hero of Scott County. Bo is someone who has overcome obstacles and cancer, when he couldn’t do much about his condition.
Heroes have a very wide depiction in all of society, whether it be a superhero, a policeman, firefighter, of a soldier, but in some ways, a hero can be an ordinary person that you pass by on the street. Some people may be born with heroic traits naturally, and some may discover these traits through hardships or situations where a hero is needed. In a situation where a hero is needed, an ordinary person may step up and discover courageous traits that they never thought they had. A hero is somebody that will sacrifice their well-being for the well-being of others. A hero may also be somebody who steps up and speaks up for those in need.
Heroes are everyday people who show qualities that help others and that help society as a whole. People who are selfless, think of others first, and are willing to give up opportunities for others to succeed are considered heroes in my eyes and some examples of these types of people would be parents, doctors, soldiers, firefighters, police officers, and more. Well known people who have/had these qualities are people
As a young child, I defined a hero as a person with superhuman abilities such as flight, super speed, or heat vision. I looked up to people like that and I always wanted to be one of those astounding individuals. Now as an older pre-teen, I realize that I had it wrong my whole life. Today when I think of a hero I picture a person who overcomes obstacles in their path and perseveres to consummate their goals. With those requirements, I could never find a person who I really looked at as a hero.
Heroes have many Definitions in all peoples eyes. In this one you will find one of the many definitions and how I see a hero. A hero will be described by how he looks and for what he does. This is how I see a hero in action and in looks. This is for someone to strive for.
Heroes are mainly the ones to help you get through problems and be there for you through tough times. A hero is someone who is always by your side. You don’t always have to kill anyone, or risk your life to be a hero. Anyone who influences anyone else by saving or helping save his or her lives is a hero. They take time out of their life to help others
A hero is not defined by what they look like but by who they are and what they do. There is a hero in everyone but like most, they are hidden behind the flesh or buried deeply in the abyss of their heart and they know that they want to be a hero but are too scared to rise up and carry the torch of the Olympic games when what they really want is fame. A hero who wants fame is a hero without honor and will die and won't be remembered until a robbery happens. A hero that wants fame is like a dry lake wanting water during a drought. I have always dreamed of becoming a hero and in doing
Heroes are everyday people you would see hanging out with their friends, picking up their child from school, going to work, or even volunteering at an event. Heroes are people who you would see living a normal like anyone would. For example a dentist would be considered as a hero because they help kids, and adults to have healthy teeth’s. Heroes just don’t look at situations like
“To be heroic is to be courageous enough to die for something.” ― Criss Jami, Venus in Arms. It is also someone that is willing to go out of their way just to help someone in need. Police, fireman, EMT’s, and the military are heroes, because they are self sacrificing, thinking of others before helping themselves. An example of heroism can be seen in the police and EMT’s that risk personal safety to help others. They are also the one’s who risked their lives during the Vegas shooting to go and help the people who were injured, or the ones who were just in shock. On the other side people could have heros that are celebrities; they may inspire people who are less fortunate to strive it improve their lives. Heroism is displayed by great bravery and the dedication to help others. It is to inform the youth that they do not have to be a superhero to be a hero.
“ I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people” (Maya Angelou). There are many heroes in many different cultures. Many people believe there are heroes around the world. Here is an example of a hero from a movie. In the Hungry Games, Katniss steps up for her little sister Primrose when she gets picked out of the bowl to fight in the hungry games. That is a heroic thing to do because she does not want her sister to die. We can learn about many heroes by reading books. There are many places people can go and visit to learn about heroes. There are many different heroes depending on your definition of a hero. My definition of a hero is a person who is brave enough to fight for the things that are wrong but need to be right.
Everyone has their own form of “hero” in their personal lives. Personally; my heroes include; my teachers, my family, and lgbt advocates. To my own definition; I believe that a hero does a positive act in no gain, fortune, or benefit to themselves. People also often blur the lines
There are very few people in the world who haven’t had a hero to look up to at some point in their life. It doesn’t have to be red, white, and blue like superman, but maybe something more simple like a mom who works all day just to feed her children at night. Or maybe even a social activist, like Ghandi. According to Christopher Reeve, the actor for superman in the 80’s, “A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.”. Regardless of the image and form the hero comes in, they have always been around for many generations, for people of all ages. It might make someone ask, why do we have heroes? Why do we look up to a role model and hope to be like them one
