Defining Friendship In order to get through life, we as humans require a form of partnership. While this could come from a sibling or parent, it commonly occurs in what we refer to as friends. Two friends share a bond of mutual affection that they demonstrate though their actions. This manifestation of companionship is vital to emotional growth. A best friend can also provide emotional support and encouragement in both difficult and successful times. Most, if not all people crave this type of fellowship. In order to select a friend, one must carefully consider a person's character. Therefore, in order to fit the description of a best friend, one must be thoughtful, encouraging, and kind. To begin, a person must prove him or herself
Many people have different meanings for a true friendship. My definition of a true friendship is when you can rely on a person to be there for you no matter what situation you are in.
Many people say that they have many friends, whether it’s on social media or in the real world. While this may be true, the question begs, what makes a person a best friend? I like to think that a best friend has to stand out from the rest in the crowd. Some people may think a best friend gains that title just because they’ve known each other for a while. To me it’s more than just title given out because of time, it has to be earned.I only have three people who I would call my best friend.Their names are Shelby, Elizabeth, and Joseph. They all share these important qualities: trustworthiness, dependability, and unconditional love.
They do not necessarily have a best friend or an acquaintance, they just have a friend. A friend should accept all flaws, faults, and mistakes. A friend is someone who understands our past. Also, they are someone who has a positive impact in our life. A friendship is a faithful and loyal relationship between two or more people. Friends have an intimate relationship that can last forever. Friendship is not limited by sex, age, or where a person lives. Friendship can develop between people that have the same interests and passions. No one of us has completed and satisfied life if we lack a good friendship. Everyone needs a friend to share good and bad events with. Friends are there to enjoy happy moments and share unbearable times. Friendship is one of the most valuable relationships a person can have in
Friendships are an important part of everyday life, but what does one look like? If you were asked to define what a friendship would look like, how would you describe it? A friendship is a type of relationship that requires certain key components in order to be labeled a friendship. The first component, and very important component, is a reciprocity or mutuality. In order for a friend to truly be considered a friend, they have to believe that you are their friend also. It’s a two-way street. Try driving down a one-way street during traffic and see how far you get: not far. Both people have to consider each other a friend or the friendship is not. The next question would be how close of a friend are they? There are many definitions of being
A situation in which two people are friends, this is the definition of friendship by Cambridge dictionary. Another dictionary defines friendship as the state of being a friend. Some of you might have noticed that the meaning is really vague.
“People who only contact you when they need something from you are just acquaintances. Not friends”. This is a quote by Rick Warren. “Each person has a core group of about 5 friends. This expands to a bigger circle of 15, then 50, and then 150.” (“No New Friends”).A person can only have a few close friends but at the same time we can have lots of acqaintances.
Being in a relationship, or a part of a relationship, is a broad term. There are many different types of relationships that you will experience in life. Some relationships are by choice, some you are born or marry into, some are in passing (people you meet on the street, checkout lines in the grocery store, or sitting at a Starbucks), and others are fleeting moments in time.
When it comes to finding friends the first step is finding out what exactly is a friend? The dictionary defines the word Friend as “A person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard” There’s a difference between being friendly and someone being your friend for example that person has told you that you are a friend or has introduced you as their friend. Is sincerely interested when you talk about your life A good friend is someone who you can talk to and trust with your problems in not telling anyone else. Everyone has their own definition about what is a “Friend “ btu I think everyone looks for the same chacrtericts in a feivnd or best fiend a work firned and that is someiv you vsn tslk
Friendship can be described in many ways. Friendship can mean love, loyalty or even fun. For me friendship is more of loyalty. Loyalty for me is very important in a friendship because, like everyone has their own secrets that wants to share with someone of confidence or that are loyal to you. But for example their is many people that they pass themselves by being great and loyal friends. Until one day, that you have revealed your secrets to that person maybe that, that person goes and tell everybody else. But, otherwise i have this friend that has been with me since day one. She became like my sister to me she has always helped me with things and has always kept my secrets safe, her name is Ashley just like i've always kept her secrets safe
My definition of friendship is when you are honest, nice and trustworthy. Yes friendships have limits because you need to be honest you don't need to be dishonest in a friendship. You need to be nice in a friendship and you don’t need to be rude. Also in a friendship you need to be trustworthy you don’t need to be untrustworthy. An example of friendship is when you tell your friend something and tell them not to tell know one and they don't.
What makes a real friend?, a person that is a real friend is a person that cares about you and looks after you, but also they can be someone you can have fun and joke around with. A real friend is someone who you can trust so you can tell them something and they won’t tell other people you, the information you don’t want shared. Personally, I look for someone who is trustworthy so I can tell them personal information, someone who cares about me, someone I can fun with, and someone with which we share similar likes and dislikes. Have I ever broken a friendship?, yes and no, because my best friend from elementary school moved while we were going into the sixth grade, although it wasn’t really broken, we stopped talking for a while, but currently
Friendship is not simply a "relationship", knowing someone, conversing with that person, or dealing with that person in business, school, or in casual acquaintance. True friendship is not just a "relationship", but self-sacrificing love. A friend is also one who supports, sympathizes, and is a person in whom you can confide. There are unique qualities that a person must have to be considered a friend.
Friendships can be resembling to two butterflies in a garden together, but a strong friendship is a knot tied together never separating meaning your friendship can never be broken. Maximally to maintain a strong friendship is by being honest with each other and listen to what each one has to say.
Imagine your sole confidante, childhood playmate, personal comedian and physiologist disclosing your secrets to a stranger. Unfortunately, this stranger happens to be the person who enforce a form of punishment for the actions that were once a secret. Furthermore, this confidante is considered your friend. Does an instance of this friend disclosing your secret of immoral activities to a person of authority violate the success of the friendship? In fact, this act is not a violation of the laws of friendship. The ideas of friendship are subjective, and thus where you might think your friend’s actions are unjust, your friend is actually looking out for your best interest and security. Also, a good friend would not desire
I once believed that a strong friendship could withstand anything, but all it takes is a minor disagreement or sarcastic comment to ruin one. My best friend Michaela and I could hardly contain our excitement as we stepped out of my dad 's white convertible in front of the community building. We were wearing matching burgundy dresses for our friend Nancy 's quinceanera and the night had finally arrived. Nancy greeted us at the door where we marveled over her sparkly teal dress. We couldn 't wait to reunite the group of six friends who hadn 't been together in almost a year.
