Trust. It’s written everywhere on the boards and posters around the schools, campuses, and hospitals but what exactly is a trust? As long as I can remember throughout our school years we are told to trust each other in order to keep a healthy relationship. No one emphasizes how important it was to trust yourself before trusting a second person.
According to Merriam Webster trust is defined as " assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something." Examining the past and the future itself, I have come to a realization that trust is the power/strength to believe in yourself without anyone helping you. It’s the ability to believe in yourself. I believe many of us in our life once was told that you can’t do
The true meaning of trust is the “firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something” from Merrian Webster. This tells you that trust is something that is hard to get. People these days can’t do all these things. Trust is a rare thing to have with a person. Trust is something you have to give your all to.
When I was a little kid, about 8 to 9 years of age, I usually believed on anything a person said. Specifically the time when one of my classmates said “I’ll give back your pencil at the end of class.” That’s where trust comes in: a substantial belief in one’s loyalty, truth, or ability. In fact, he never gave it back which saddens me because the pencil he kept was actually my favorite one. It’s understandable that a pencil is cheap and easily replaceable, but that doesn’t give anyone the right to keep it without the owner’s consent.
Trust. What is it really? It can take on many forms in our lives, and grows and develops into a word that takes on a deeper meaning as we get older and mature. It goes hand in hand with love, friendship, and successful relationships in life. Trust is essentially believing in someone or something and leaving yourself open and vulnerable to possible pain, distress, and in some cases, heartbreak.
That’s all opinions, if we want to be politically correct, then trust is “a firm reliability, truth, ability, or strength of something or someone.” Without a doubt, my disagreement is high with this comment. Some people are reliable, but are not trustworthy enough to balance a bucket of water above your head without dropping it. So, the belief a person has in somebody can go both ways, because it can also be that they can trust somebody with their secrets, they just cannot trust them to save them from an endangered
What does trust mean to you? To me, it’s the most important thing in a relationship. Trust keeps your connection thriving. Without trust, you won’t make it through life. Being trustworthy is one of the hardest things to do. When you put your trust in someone your saying you think they are reliable and you have confidence in them. It’s very easy to break the trust of another person. One little secret spilled or one word said to the wrong person can change your relationship with anyone. Every day you have people you know you could never trust, and that’s how it’s always going to be in life. I’m sure people have broken you're it multiple times, and once they break you're it over and over again it’s hard to know when to believe them cause you don’t
One characteristic that makes trust unique is its fragility. To gain the trust of others, one must continuously prove one’s honesty and reliability. To gain complete trust of someone can take years, but can be lost in a single moment. An example of how delicate trust can really be is in marriage. The married couple must constantly be honest with each other to gain real trust. This bond can be easily broken if one of the spouses is caught cheating. Trust in another person can make one feel loved and supported, while broken trust can lead to the feeling of anger and
Trust has multiple definitions, but when I think about trust, always coming through, and being trustworthy are the first ideas that come to mind. Most importantly, Trust can be defined as someone you can tell anything to. You can have trust with your family, friends and relatives. People may see trust differently based on past experiences or events. For example, someone who has trustworthy friends who tends to keep secret information secret, might view trust positively. But, someone who has friends that can’t keep secrets, and tells everything they hear might view trust in a negative way. Therefore, I believe that trust had many different view and definitions which are a lot different than what I would ever have expect creating a never ending
What exactly is trust and why does it matter? “Trust is one’s willingness to be vulnerable to another based on the confidence that the other is benevolent, honest, open, reliable, and competent” (Tschannen-Moran, 2004, pg. 17). Trust is a word that has numerous definitions based on the word being so difficult to define. I think the author does a great job of helping define what trust is because of the word vulnerable. You have to be willing to be vulnerable to someone if you want to
When we consider popular social theory, trust indicates a certain belief and a sense of assurance that is based on strong but not logically-conclusive evidence, or based on some ones character, their ability, or truth that someone or something has shown over a period of time or over experiences. Trust makes for a sense of being safe or of being free of fear, enough so that one 's focus can be on other matters (Spirithome, 2005). Key elements of this definition are its dependence on the foundation of character, its ability and a sense of being safe. Trust is also a public good, according to noted sociologist Giovanni Sartor (Sartor, 2003). Sartor stated if there was no trust, co-operation would end, and the whole fabric of society would collapse. Trust can be defined as the “belief that someone or something is reliable, good, honest, effective.” Merriam-
Trust is a word that I find very powerful and dear to me. I find myself sometimes asking just what does this really mean? Trust is something that is earned as well as learned but to put your trust in someone else speaks volumes for all parties involved. Trust can be easily given and taken away just as easy and twice as hard to regain. Now in life, you will cross paths with many different people all diverse in nature. Some of these individuals you will come to know and grow to call your brother. Putting a blind trust in someone and call him your brother means you have faith and no doubt in this person. Blood ties do not always make you a brother to someone but a true bond trust and friendship defiantly will. Trusting your brother can range
What is trust? Trust is having to be able to have belief and hope in someone or something. Trust is not something easily attainable as it requires you to fully dive into something taking all risk without hesitation. I believe humans struggle and have an inability to trust one another in response get along with each other. This can be split into three categories including human nature, past experience, and social media/idols. I myself have struggled with these issues.
“Trust: belief that someone or something is reliable, good, honest, effective, etc.” (Merriam- Webster Dictionary). Distrust in a relationship occurs when the trust between two people is diminished. Distrust can have many negative affects on a person including: trust issues, anxiety, suspicion, fear of opening up, etc. Symptoms of distrust can depend on the severity of the distrust in the
Trust is not something that should be taking lightly. One trust can make a different world. But, we can’t trust someone 100%, because there is a few factor that explain why. First, we can’t guess anyone thoughts. example like how a girl think about how a boy see her make up, maybe the boy will think it’s like usual or it’s not match and maybe it look good on the girl. Many possibility of thoughts on one event.
We have all been hurt by losing trust with something or someone, whether it’s a relationship, friendship, family bond, etc. It’s truly heartbreaking at times. We can all relate to that hurt. Trust is a thing that we don’t even realize at times that we are giving to this person or thing. It is giving something or someone the power to hurt you, but expecting them not to. Some give too much trust.
What is trust? According to the dictionary trust means to be reliable or the strength of someone / something. Trust for me means that a friend, family, or group believe in you and will always have your back. Furthermore it is not that simple, it’s deeper than what people think because it continues to grow and come with challenges in life. Sometimes it’s hard to gain or receive trust but it all depends on the person.
