“The real hero is the man who fights even though he is scared.” General Patton. A hero is someone who inspires, solves, or helps others in a major way. Heroes can also change people's lives sometimes. A hero can range from many people, from first responders, famous citizens , or even strangers. Heroes can be commonly found in the police force or as a firefighter. The job of a fireman or police officer is to protect lives which is one major trait of a hero, to save and to care for others. An example of heroism from these jobs were the September 11 attacks. Policemen and firefighters came to the scene to save all the remaining victims of the attacks. Over 360 firefighters, paramedics, and police officers were killed in the attacks while evacuating
