Deforestation
Deforestation is a very big problem in our world, that not lot of people are worried about, it’s that's causing many issues in our environment and issues for lots of animals. Deforestation is when people cut down trees to get wood for building and papermaking, and to burn firewood. They also clear land for crops to grow and animals to graze. Many animal habitats are suffering because of us humans! Keep reading to see how many problems deforestation is doing to our woods, jungles, and other places on our planet earth. The most dramatic impact is a big loss of habitat for millions of species. Eighty percent of Earth's land animals and plants live in forests, and many cannot survive the deforestation that destroys their homes. Deforestation also drives climate change in many countries.
Deforestation is a big problem and a good thing at the same time, just mostly a problem. Animals do loose habitats and their natural resources such as food, homes, and strategies to get pray because of deforestation. Deforestation occurs in Nigeria,Indonesia , and Brazil, luckily not a lot of it happens in the U.S.A. The only reasons why it is a good thing is because it makes paper, and furniture, and people use it as firewood but that's no excuse to cut down many very innocent trees.
If deforestation keeps happening, which it probably will, where do tree frogs go without trees? What about monkeys? Where do birds lay their nests? What about humans? What about many insects? What about hunting strategies using trees? What about animals who need to feed on trees? I think you get my point. Many habitats are affected, the list goes on and on. One tree gives carbon dioxide for four people in just one day. Thats a lot! Can you imagine losing lots of trees? If one tree supplies oxygen for four people, why are we still cutting down many trees? Isn’t there enough reasons why we shouldn't cut down trees? If we keep letting all these people do this, can you imagine

Deforestation in the Deciduous Forest has become a very large problem over the past few years. It not only impacts the environment, but the wildlife and the humans as well. Deforestation is defined by Dictionary.com as: to clear of trees, the cutting down or removal of most of the trees. This has a tremendous impact on all living organisms and can have long lasting effects on the environment. If this issue isn’t solved soon, then we will soon find ourselves in a great deal of problems. Deforestation in the Deciduous Forest is a serious problem and needs to be stopped.
Our needs for plants and trees are an essential part of living because they produce our planets oxygen in our air as well as absorbing the Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere. With the increasing need for deforestation happening there is no place for the Carbon Dioxide to go. This compound stays in our air and allows for more Greenhouse gases to be trapped and stay on our planet’s atmosphere. Deforestation has also lead to millions of homeless wildlife and has led to many species being extinct or close to extinction. Such examples include the Polar Bear’s habitat disappearing and melting because of rising sea levels due to methane and Carbon Dioxide levels heating up the
Deforestation is the process of cutting or burning too many trees. In deforestation, forests are completely cleared, and that land is used for other purposes. Major example of deforestation is in the Amazon rainforest in South America. Within last twenty-six years, it went form a thick layer of green forest, to empty clean area. Cutting these breathe in CO2 and breathe out oxygen. Trees are a natural way to controlling CO2 in the atmosphere. Once the forest is clean in deforestation, these no natural way left for balancing CO2 in the environment that leads to too much CO2 in the air. Also, trees are made 50 percent with CO2 in them which they use for energy. When deforestation takes place, the CO2 from tree is released in the air. As said before too much CO2 increases temperature of the planet leading to global
Deforestation is necessary for our survival. For instance, according to "Document 2", a secondary source from National Geography Society, "Forests are cut down for many reasons, but most of them are related to money or to people's need to provide for their families". This shows that people need to clear forests in order to make money and we rely on trees for things like paper and pencils, so without deforestation we would most likely die. Therefore, deforestation are necessary for our survival. Deforestation also creates jobs. For instance, in "Document 4", a primary source from Global deforestation according to the U.N., the annual tropical deforestation in square miles rose from approximately 30,000 in 1990-2000 to approximately 40,000 in 2000-2005. Even though this means more trees are cut down, this also means more jobs for people because forests are being cleared. According to the article "Deforestation", an article from the site ic.galegroup.com, "Forests are also cleared to make way for new infrastructure, including roadways, homes, and commercial properties such as shopping malls. This in turn creates more jobs." Forests are cut down for buildings and roads, and who's going to build these roads and buildings? Workers, that's who. Despite all of this, deforestation is still terrible because the losses outweigh the
Deforestation is the destruction of a wide area of forest land into a cleared land that is used for a variety of reasons. The impact on the environment from cutting down, burning and damaging forests is very detrimental and there are severe consequences for the environment and future generations because of deforestation. According to the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization approximately 7.3 million hectares of forests are being destroyed per year in the world (Bradford, 2015). In this essay, I will explore the impact that deforestation on the environment and I will also look at the actions that are being taken to prevent deforestation. There are various reasons why deforestation is occurring despite its negative effects on the environment. Deforestation can cause very serious environmental problems such as climate change, flooding, loss of habitats as well as others.
Deforestation is the clearing of a forest and/or cutting down of trees for human benefits such as agriculture, wood exports, etc. Deforestation is the cause of numerous environmental impacts such as habitat loss, flooding and soil erosion. It can also cause climate change, by reducing the amount of rainfall and changing the amount of sunlight reflected from Earth’s surface and increases the risk of forest . Tree growth is important for biodiversity because they absorb carbon dioxide which is a harmful greenhouse gas . However, since deforestation reduces natural carbon sinks, it disrupts the balance between oxygen and carbon dioxide in the air causing the amount of carbon dioxide in the air to increase. This poses a serious
Deforestation has been a major concern in tropical rainforests, this is an act of destructing a forest for multiple reasons including wood supply, agriculture purposes or the extraction of minerals and energy. Forest loss till date is 18.03 million acres per year and it has been estimated that within 100 years all rainforests will be destroyed.
According to World Wildlife over half of the illegally removed from forests are used to make fuel. Some other causes of deforestation are for urbanization, timber products, consumer products agriculture business, industrial logging, hydroelectric dams and road building are the main causes of deforestation.. According to NASA if we continue at this rate it would only take as little as 100 years for all the rainforests around the world to be cut
Imagine all the beautiful creatures happily living their days in the forest , resting in the sun and just enjoying their time on Earth. Well ... these peacful animals just got a very rude awakening because someone decide to deforest their area. Deforestation is the process of converting forest lands into non-forested areas. It is estimated that between 50-100 species are lost each day as a reasult of forestry . Deforestation should be stopped , there is no reason to destroy our forest . It is a heartless and selfish thing to do , it needs to be put to a stop for good .
Ninety percent of the earth’s trees between three and four hundred years old have been cut down. The remaining ten percent is all we will ever have (Gallant, 97). The definition of deforestation by the Random House Dictionary of the English Language is "to divest or clear of forests or trees.” Deforestation is one of the most significant issues of our time; considerable measures must be taken to prevent further pillaging of our unique forest resource.
Deforestation is the cutting down of a large area of trees and the destruction of forests by people. Forests are what we call an exhaustible resource, one which can be used up if it is not used carefully. Over the last few decades, deforestation has threatened the rainforests with total extinction. To understand why deforestation is such an important issue, you first have to understand why trees matter. Trees improve in many ways the life of all species, including the human race.
There are many causes/factors to deforestation, which are largely associated with direct human influence. The first proximate cause to deforestation is infrastructure expansion (Geist & Lambin, 2002, p. 144). This refers to transportation (roads), private and public markets, rural and urban settlements, and private and public services (water lines, oil exploitation, etc…) (Geist & Lambin, 2002, p. 144). The next cause is agricultural expansion, which includes, large or small-scale cultivations, shifting cultivations (slash and burn), and, of course, cattle ranching. Wood extractions for industrial and domestic purposes are other proximate causes to this issue.
Animals that need rainforest will die and become extinct. In the text of “Cons Of Deforestation” it says “When forests are cut down, it is not only the trees that are being lost, but also countless amounts of wildlife, such as mammals, birds, insects, amphibians and many other animals that make them their home”. This shows that animals are losing there homes when trees get cut down and they will die and become extinct because of this. Next in the text of “Cons Of Deforestation it say’s “In fact, there has been a drastic decline in the amount of wildlife in certain areas that have experienced severe effects of deforestation”. This shows that wildlife is already going down because of deforestation in some
Deforestation is a major global problem with serious consequences to the planet. These consequences have a negative effect on the climate, biodiversity, the atmosphere and threatens the cultural and physical survival of life. Deforestation is the permanent destruction of indigenous forests and woodlands. It has resulted in the reduction of indigenous forests to four-fifths of their pre-agricultural area, so that now indigenous forests cover only 21% of the earth's land surface. The world Resources Institute regards deforestation as one of the worlds most pressing land use problem.
Deforestation is a problem that does not concern many people, but it is an issue that the people of Earth need to deal with. In the past 50 years deforestation has increased a significant amount, but people around the world have been removing the forests since the 1600s. The forests remaining are in danger as the human population goes up, the need for resources will also increase and this will make the deforestation of the last forests come quicker before humans realize it is too late. Unless the people address this threat to the world, it will be too late because this is something that can be fixed, the forests can be rebuilt but it has to start right now before there is nothing people can do. There are many causes for deforestation such as, clearing space for urbanization, making areas available for houses, or harvesting the lumber for goods and other consumer items and all of these have an effect on the world. The consequences of deforestation can affect all aspects of life on Earth, including the water cycle, the soil, and the life quality of species around the world.
