DEPLOYING AN OPERATING SYSTEM WITHIN YOUR ORGANIZATION An operating system accomplishes the following tasks: interaction between computer and user, providing an environment of which programs operate, and manages files. Yet, each operating system does it its own way. Hence, it is advantageous to know the pros and cons of each operating system before a decision is made. Any kind of operating system can be utilized in most environments; it's just a matter of difficulty supporting it regarding maintenance, compatibility problems and other concerns. For example, the Mac OS X would be perfect for the graphic design department, but would not work out well in the engineering department, which is better suited for Windows or Linux. Thus, Windows is not as secure without an antivirus. Antivirus products provide protection against viruses, Trojan horses and other types of malware, such as spyware. The use and deployment of an antivirus through an organization will cost a large amount of money and will require maintenance to ensure the virus definitions are updated. Windows does come with a firewall, though, and the use of User Account Control can limit the possibility of either a user commiting malicious acts or malicious software from taking over the system. Windows also has another downside: Its cost can be high if it did not come bundled with a computer. Many organizations buy computers with Windows preinstalled, however, even upgrades can cost a lot. What's more, Windows now has six different versions, (unlike the release of XP which had two mainstream products—Home and Professional): Windows 7 Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate versions, making it really confusing to decide which one to buy. For an organization, anything below Windows 7 Professional (Starter, Home Basic and Home Premium) will not be acceptable. Features such as the ability to connect to a domain, the use of Group Policy and drive encryption is not made available in these editions. Mac OS X Macintosh is another popular operating system,
A) There are several issues in the case of Mr. J that need to be examined. Using nurse sensitive indicators “reflect patient outcomes that are determined to be nursingsensitive because they depend on the quality or quantity of nursing care” (American Sentinel University, 2011). Mr. J. was not receiving acceptable care, because his daughter noticed a red, depressed area over Mr. J’s lower spine, similar to a severe sunburn. This skin condition is the first stage of a developing pressure ulcer. a. Nurses should be aware that a patient with limited mobility is at risk for skin breakdown, and pressure ulcers.
Windows 7 like all other versions before has with sub versions of its operating system. Theses sub versions include W7 Starter, W7 Home Basic, W7 Home Premium, W7 Professional, W7 Enterprise, and W7 Ultimate. These are all sub versions of W7 that have their key features as well as their requirements.

First of all, in order to improve patient safety, staffing levels need to be appropriate. In this case, as the patient load increased, the staffing level did not. There was only one RN and on LPN on duty. As a proponent of acuity based staffing, I would have a system in place that allowed for staff to be assigned based on a patient acuity scoring system that would be implemented, that would staff the unit not only based on the number of patients but also for the care required. In this case we have a patient that requires constant monitoring, as well as another emergent respiratory distress patient. Had another nurse been assigned to the unit, Nurse J, who was trained in conscious sedation, would have been able to adhere to the existing policy and provide constant monitoring of Mr. B which most likely would have avoided the outcome presented in this scenario.
The hospital acquiring data on the above indicators of pressure ulcer incidence, prevalence of restraints,
By understanding nursing sensitive indicators, the nurses in this case could improve the structure, process, and outcomes of their nursing care. The structure of nursing care is indicated by the supply of nursing staff and the skill level of the nursing staff. By the nurses having increased knowledge of the issues hip fracture patients are prone to having, such as decrease mobility, increase need for surgical intervention, and increase risk of falls, could help improve the quality of patient care. A patient with decrease mobility is at higher risk for pressure sores. The nurses in this case may have prevented the one by proper
When people think buying a new computer, they will normally call to mind about the Microsoft, Microsoft operating system use on more than 90% computer in the world. Hello, my name is Robert Parker, and I was sent over by the IT consultant firm you just hired to give you a comparison and contrast of the three main OS systems you may choose to use within your company. The three we have chosen are Microsoft, Linux and Mac OS. Mas OS has been around the longest, and then Microsoft, these are the main two that most companies use today. Not to say one is better than the other, for it is mainly up to what the company’s mission is and what is needed to accomplish that mission.
Operating systems are very important to be able to run different applications on your phone or computer etc. so you can run multiple programs at the same time, it manages internal memory, it runs the input and output of attached devices like your phone or printer by transferring data. And lastly it also enables you to run more than 1 processor at the same time by dividing the program. So as you can see operating systems are very important to improve and be able to run your PC.
This, of course, means competition, which in turn lowers prices. Macintosh systems are sold primarily sold in whole systems which are composed of RAM and processor speed, meaning that the consumer ends up with what Apple has decided should be included in the system. Windows systems, however, can be built to the consumer needs, or by the consumer themselves. They could select which part would be best for them for the price they would pay for it.
We have a choice of using either Windows or Linux for operating system, since they are already preloaded on the servers we are purchasing. In making our decision, we had to first take a look at the features that each system provided and which one would be the best for what we are doing.
2. Slow: Windows requires a lot of computer resources (memory, processor, disk space), and thus, runs slower.

Operations management focuses on managing the processes of producing and distributing products and services. Operations activities often include product creation, development, production and distribution. It deals with all operations within the organization. Related activities include managing purchases, inventory control, quality control, storage, logistics and evaluations. The nature of how operations management is carried out in an organization depends very much on the nature of products or services in the organization, for example, retail, manufacturing, wholesale, etc.
Looking at the sizable market share Microsoft has come to enjoy over the years, a new competitor would face a number of entry barriers before entering this market. Customers are very loyal to the Microsoft brand and would expect any competitor to offer at the very least the same features that Microsoft already has.
