The Importance of Disinfection and Sanitation procedures in the cosmetology industry is to keep clientele and the cosmetology’s safe in the work force of cosmetology. The cosmetologist must be able to understand the different types of diseases and disorders that could show up in the work space. They must also be able to know how to properly clean the tools and implements that are used on clients. The cosmetologist must also understand the laws and rules of disinfection and sanitation. These skills will help the cosmetologist become knowledgeable, successful, and responsible in the professional work force.

A soldier must maintain a professional appearance because it demonstrates a professional image, pride, and self discipline while maintaining a high standard of living as well as showing their professionalism. For example, when in the military the way a soldier presents themselves says a lot about not only but the military. Keeping a professional appearance includes, a proper haircut, a clean shaven face that is groomed and well trimmed facial hair, maintaining the uniform in good condition which reflects the military or unit, and wearing the proper accessories with certain types of uniforms. These are examples of what must be done in order to maintain a good appearance while on and off duty. The haircut of a soldier must be presentable, groomed, shaved, or faded in accordance with AR 670-1 Chapter 3 Paragraph 2 under hair and fingernail standards and grooming policies. Having a well maintained and appropriate haircut keeps your image not only professional in the workplace, but also gives the public a respectable view on military standards.

Again I would not use any equipment I have not been fully trained on. I would ensure I am wearing correct clothing and footwear when moving and positioning an individual, to avoid risk of being harmed, for example I would not wear open shoes or sandals while using a hoist. I would need to check my surroundings (enough room, loose rugs, furniture in the way) and the equipment being used (enough charge, no loose wires, and sling clean and intact). Infection control also plays a part in this too, correct PPE (personal protective equipment) should be worn and hands washed. NEVER rush when moving and/or positioning an individual.

The relationship between Salon & Spa owners/ managers and a local Cosmetology School is very important. It also plays big role in public relations aspect of the business on both parties.

Majority of us guy’s go to a barbershop to get a sharp haircut or just to kick back and get a laugh out of all the crazy and funny story’s that customers or barbers like to share. At times that barber can be a role model to us younger gentlemen because some of us might of grew up without a father figure in are life and he could show a positive example of what a hardworking man should be or basically just because he is a man’s best friend because that 30-45 minute haircut could include some of the best advice that you have ever received from another person. I’ve spent various amount of hours shadowing barbers who are veterans in the barber business and well known and respected among the barber community and also been attending barber battles and competition’s around the Bay Area just so I can see the different types of styles a certain type of crowd might have over a certain crowd and to experience that real barber brother and sister connection there is that is well known and respected among different barbers nation and country wide. Cosmetology is the study and application of beauty treatment. Branches of specialty includes hairstyling, skin care, cosmetics, manicures/pedicures. And a Fine Artists are artists that include painters, sculptors, and illustrators. In fine arts I would be doing painting/ body painting. For schooling I would love to go to University of Arizona or Eastern Arizona Collage. I have wanted to go to U of Arizona since I was 10. Eastern Arizona Collage offers the cosmetology class I need and University of Arizona has the Fine arts class I need. A lot of people have an interest in arts or something of the field. But the whole arts, makeup, and hair has been my escape from reality when ever I'm having a hard time at school or even in life. I've been doing (cutting and coloring) my own hair and doing my own makeup for 4 years. I have done other peoples hair and makeup before and gotten nothing but positive feed back. School will cost money so, I am going to be applying for scholarships.
