The most rewarding risk i’ve taken was at school. I was in 7th grade making my schedule, I wanted to be an aide. I had been working hard and getting good grades. We were making our schedules for 8th grade. In order to be an aide you must have good grades and no referrals. I got office aide in 8th grade, which I’m in now and it’s fun to do. As and aide i have to deliver mail and pick up mail. Three risks that can give you good rewards in return are, taking hard classes in school, applying for a good college, and applying for a job. For example, taking a risk would be taking hard classes in school. If you take hard classes in school. If you take hard classes in school you could get good grades. You could also get into a good college. Confucius
Accepting the opportunity to experience risk allows the individual to push themselves, despite the possibility of danger towards oneself. In the Hobbit, the character Bilbo demonstrates risk-taking most clearly when he attempts to steal a troll’s wallet after the dwarves ordered him to investigate a strange light coming from within the forest (pg. 35). Bilbo concludes that he must prove himself to the dwarves. To show his capability as a burglar,
Risk is defined by the probability of injury, harm, loss or danger. We all take risks every day, and don’t even think about implications.
“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you will land among the stars.” - Les Brown
Risk Takers are brave. they are people willing to gamble everything they have to get a reward. A risk taker such as Mike Tyson, a if not the most famous fighter ever, was putting his body on the line every fight, But he was making millions to support his family. Floyd collins is another risk taker, a man who went looking in caves for crystals so that he could open a tourist attraction and provide for his family. he became stuck in the cave and eventually
Risk taking means, something that can cause or hurt by taking risk it shows you are willing to cause or hurt yourself or others around you emotionally. In “Mother To Son” the mother shows risk in the poem to encourage her son to grow. Also,in “Bud Not,Buddy”, Bud shows risk taking in the book by pushing himself to find his father. In the novel Bud Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis and the poem
“In the end we only regret the chances we didn’t take.” - Lewis Carroll. The quote discussed is Jack London “The proper function of man is to live, not exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.” In order to support this I will use evidence from articles and studies. I agree with Jack London’s claim that people should live not exist, and use their time wisely. I agree because risk taking actually has health benefits, people often take risks and then love the outcome and research has found risk taking can actually be eye-opening.
As a teenager I think that taking risk and making decisions that we don't fully think about or don't think in the consequence is in our genetics and its part of our culture and society and it has and it will always be. In "Into the wild" by Jon krakauer Chris McCandless makes very risk decisions in his teenage years that affected his life in a good way or bad but that wasn't he wasn't thinking about when he made like us but his decision were much larger than any that I have made.
First, it’s better to take risks because you learn from your mistakes. If you take a risk you might have nothing
“Don't be afraid to have a reality check. Taking risks is OK, but you must be realistic.” -Joy Mangano. This quote proves that people can take risks, but they shouldn’t put themselves or others in danger.
Risks can help you get through life by getting a good job or risk dropping out of college to get on a sports team. Either way
From this activity I learned that in the early modern trading world risky decisions payed off. I completed this activity two times with two different mentalities. The first time I stayed on the straight and narrow path. I traveled unarmed, sailed the safest routes, and took on no adventurers. I failed to earn a profit on this journey. My second time around I took chances. I traveled armed, and sailed the riskiest routes. I
“It's only when you risk failure that you discover things. When you play it safe, you're not expressing the utmost of your human experience”, ("Lupita Nyong'o Quotes." BrainyQuote. Xplore. Web. 15 Mar. 2015<http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/l/lupita_nyongo.html) .
Poker is an easy example of risking anything but also depends on how smart you are to. Try to come out with more money then you came in. There is similar method applied to life. Now you wonder how that possible this makes no sense.
My theme report looks at the issues of taking risks in order to overcome stereotypes, poor decisions from the past, and the make progress in life. I learned from the theme study that if you take risks - and if you have the right personal qualities - you can change your world personally, and influence others positively. The four films I watched for this report were Les Intouchables,Life of a King,12 years a slave and they all showed me the consequences of risk taking which were either loss or great rewards in life.some of the results of risk taking I have discovered from these movies are it can change your personality, leads to wealth and money, second chances in life and mostly you take possession of something you once lost.
Sometimes taking a risk helps people like for example when you risk your own life for a person or animal, but doing those risks, you always sometimes regret it in the end. When you go to a theme park and ride a ride after eating too much, know right there you took a risk, a horrible one. So when taking a risk think twice or many times before taking that risk or something bad will happen and you will regret it. When taking risks you will teach yourself to succeed. You will be able to correct yourself next you do it. You learn from your mistakes when taking risks and it will build up your character.
