Fire and foremost, how did Brazil all start? Or what’s its history? In the 1500’s Brazil was founded by Pedro Cabral. So called adventurous Pedro Cabral was from Portugal and since the poverty was horrid he decided to look for new land. Pedro and some other Portuguese explorers joined him in his journey to find new land. When they arrived, they were the first European settlers to arrive in Brazil. But they weren’t alone, in fact, they reportedly found around 7 million Native Indians. But most of the Native Indians didn’t mind the Europeans at all. Mainly because most tribes were peripatetic which means they didn’t stay in one place, they moved around from place to place. When they arrived limited housing and agriculture was visible. But the

Brazil can be compared to the United States in several aspects. Both countries have a lot of things in common; however, we can point some differences too.
The name Brazil comes from Pau Brasil. There are around 145 million people living in Brazil, most of them near the coast. The population is growing rapidly and half of all Brazilians are under the age of 20. By the end of the century, it is estimated that Brazil’s population will have reached 180 million. Brazil borders on ten other Latin American countries.
As a child develops into an adult there are critical developmental steps that are necessary for a complete and successful transition. The physical transition is the most obvious change, but underneath the thick skin and amongst the complex systems, exists another layer of transitions. Ideas, rationales, ideologies and beliefs all dwell within this layer of each being. It could be said that a nation can also fit this transitional framework. A nation grows in both size (wealth, population, power), and in ideological maturity (emancipation of slaves, civil rights, women’s rights…etc). This constant evolution of ideas and size is the foundation of a successful government. Without change and

Brazil and Mexico are both the giants of their geographic realms (de Blij and Muller 219,254). Mexico constitutes an entire geographic region of Middle America (200). The country of Brazil is also considered a single region in South America (239). Both of these regions have very large populations in comparison to the other regions of their realms. Mexico’s current population of 102 million people has more than doubled in size since 1970 (219). Brazil’s estimated population is currently near 167 million people (254). The populations of both regions are becoming increasingly more urban in character. At least seventy-four percent of Mexico’s population resides in cities or towns (220). Brazil is a highly diverse and multicultural nation, consisting mostly of Native Americans, Portuguese, and Africans. In the late 19th and early 20th century, many immigrants from Italy, Germany and Japan migrated into the South American nation, which resulted in a multicultural and multi-ethnic society (Culture of Brazil, 2012). Because Brazil was originally a Portuguese colony for nearly three centuries, many aspects of Brazilian culture is derived from Portuguese culture. The Portuguese language and architectural style are examples of things that indicate a strong Portuguese influence (Culture of Brazil, 2012).
