I often go to my favorite restaurant called Andale after school. It is a great Mexican place, and the owners know my name. They are there all the time to talk to me, and one time Mirna, one of the owners, even helped me with Spanish because she is from Honduras. The other owner, Reza, is from Iran. One thing I never knew about them though is that they are the perfect people for this project. Reza and Mirna grew up very poor. Reza told me that they ate out of the garbage some days. But, they both managed to escape poverty in their countries and moved here. Once here, Reza and Mirna started a successful business called Andale. Although they did escape their poverty, they never forgot about their past. So, once the business was doing well, …show more content…
When Reza and Mirna were growing up, they had no help from others. So, they strive every day with banners and posters in their restaurant and everywhere you could put them to prove to people that others nearby need help. I sometimes see them walking up to cars and putting Andale on Wheels(the name of the bus idea) posters on the windshields. I do not know if this is even very legal, but it gets people's attention. One of my favorite things that Reza and Mirna do is put their small restaurant against huge restaurant chains. When I asked them about the project, they told me that in a newspaper article, they challenged Chick fil a. I would need to pay 70$ for that article so I asked them what they said instead. In the article they stated that “since such a small business is doing so much, why could not huge chains like chick fil a at least do more”(Ghassemi, Reza and Mirna. “Personal Interview”, 9/18/17).They challenged them even if it risked becoming enemies with a huge restaurant and ruining their good name. Reza and Mirna fit the description of having hope because they want and believe that their bus idea will spark others to do more and that their bus will live on long after them, making a huge impact on our society. Most importantly, they hope that what they do will bring attention to people struggling nearby.
I strongly believe that Reza and Mirna are modern day
Olive Garden is a family friendly restaurant that specializes in Italian-American dishes, and is well known for their soup, salad, and breadsticks. My family and I ate dinner at Olive Garden in Lafayette, Indiana. The criteria used to rate our experience was the flavor, appearance, and healthfulness of the food, the prompt and efficiency of the service, the price of the meal, and the lighting and decor of the atmosphere. When it comes to the best service, food, price, and atmosphere Olive Garden excels and continues to please their customers.
My most favorite of all time restaurants to dine at is The Cheesecake Factory. This restaurant is a famous corporate chain of restaurants that offers a widespread variety of all types of American dishes and of course specializes in the most amazing variety of the best tasting cheesecakes. I love the experience of dining at the Cheesecake factory because the atmosphere is so welcoming and the artwork on the ceilings make you feel very lavish, the food is great and the service is excellent. A particular visit last month proved to me that Cheesecake factory lives up to the expectations of its guests.
When it comes to dining-in at a restaurant we all want the best service that we can get. When I think of “the best service” I think about the cleanliness, nice waitresses, good food, and affordable prices. There are so many different options when a family thinks about going out to eat, especially if they have small children. It’s often hard to go to a nice dine-in restaurant because sometimes it’s hard to find something on the menu for everyone in the family. I have experienced many things at two completely different restaurants. I can say Demos’ is better than Logan’s because the food and service is much better.
For this assignment, I chose to interview the housekeeper for the family I work for (I’m a private chef). Her name is Sylvia Muñoz, and she is from El Salvador. Sylvia has been in the United States for thirty-six years as of July 10th. She grew up in a large family in the city of Santa Ana, which is the second largest city in El Salvador after San Salvador. The primary industry in the area when she lived there was agriculture; coffee was the primary cash crop and there was also abundant subsistence farming. Currently, there is still some agriculture but the economy is primarily based on factory work (many of the factories are owned by U.S. companies) and services provided to the middle and upper class (cooking, housekeeping,
At 9:00 pm on July 10, I took my first steps in the country that would change my life forever. As my sister, grandma, and I stepped outside the airport into the hot, humid, and dark place, talking with my (simply put) cousins, Chicho and Mirza, I realized I was in the country my grandma and her family had grown up in; Panama. I met my grandma’s aunt, Luz, who made food I never tried before such as, yuca frita, plátanos, chicha de arroz con piña, arroz con gandules, arroz blanco, and chicken. There are different types of food Panama, including many I have never heard of. I learned words in Spanish I had never heard before, differences and similarities between the United States and Panama, and they way people live. Panama City is much cleaner
I can't remember when that word meant a good thing. To others it may speak of a place of comfort and family, where you could always be safe. Never to be hurt by the outside world, which beheld unimaginable horrors.
The second place I went to was Olive Garden. My uncle and his family from New Jersey decided to visit us and as a family get together, we arranged a dinner date at the Italian chain restaurant Olive Garden. To some, Olive Garden is fancy while to others it’s casual. Olive Garden has a different approach than the fast-food restaurants. First, each plate was around 15 dollars, the cost of both my lunch and sister’s lunch from Chick-fil-A. Also, Olive Garden promotes dining in and promotes a family friendly atmosphere. The restaurant wasn’t silent, as people chattered with one another, but it wasn’t too loud like a cafeteria. I went dressed in jeans, flats, and a simple blouse. The men and boys in my family all wore jeans and either plain tees or button downs. The women and girls in my family all wore jeans, nice blouses, and either flats, sandals, or low heels. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to be dressed somewhat similar, in clothes that were informal but not too casual. There was a couple, however, that was on a date and were dressed more formally. The woman was wearing a simple, little black dress and her partner was wearing a button down shirt with slacks. Their choice to dress up could not as much be influenced by the restaurant but more so by the person they’re with and the occasion, whether it be something like an anniversary dinner or first date. The service was great and convenient as we had a waitress take our order, bring us drinks and food, and clean up

There is three wonderful siblings living in Ecuador, Maniela is ten years old, Mary is seven and Josue is five. They live in a house that is made of a cottage wood with their parents. It looks like a pie, and it’s made of stick. Their father is addicted to alcohol and drugs. He does not work or care about them. Their poor mother is the only one who takes care of them. She works as housekeeper. She gets only about 300 dollars a month. When she gets bake home, she cooks for her children whatever they have. As they wait for her to come bake, they stare to the food until it’s cook. They do not have an oven in their house, so their mother cooks on a stone with a wood. They often eat one to two times a day. As the picture is showing, they looked
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This report provides an in-depth analysis of the conduct of a market research project exploring customer expectation, satisfaction and behaviour in relation fast food restaurants. Once I stepped inside the restaurant I automatically could hear the music playing at a moderate level and the laughter of the customers. Right off the back the restaurant's ambiance had a positive vibe. Mindful, it was a Saturday late afternoon. Mary Jane Burger and Brew is a local restaurant trying to stay true to its past. The granddaughter of the original owner now runs the place with the intention of serving good quality food where the ingredients are fresh, mouth watering, and surely not filled with antibiotics and all that other genetically modified elements found in processed foods. The vintage, rustic looking place, holds a small town atmosphere with a big taste.
Do you need some place to go eat after church or just to hang out with friends? Golden Corral is the kind of place you can go to hang out with your friends and chill. The restaurant usually gets so busy on weekends that you will not have a space to park your car. If you want, you are welcome to park in the back, but it is a long walk to the entrance. The food is worth the walk, and many people do not mind because they love bringing their families to this restaurant on weekends. It is one of the best buffets in Omaha. They offer not only great service, but a fun atmosphere for eating with friends or family, and at a reasonable price.
The sweet smell of garlic, tickles your nose as you park your car. Its sweet aroma guides your taste buds to the unassuming establishments were the Italian flavor lingers in the air.
As far back as I can remember, I have always liked going out to eat. Two of my favorite restaurants are Jake’s and McDonald’s. Though both are places to dine they have their differences in their ambiance, waiting, and expense. When deciding where to go to eat, I have three things to think about. I must consider the atmosphere or where I want to go. The amount of time I have is another consideration. The amount of money that I am able to spend is a big influence.
There is no doubt that the Phoenix is one of the biggest city in the United States. It has the rich resources and good populations. We can always have fun here during my free time. Being an international student who is studying here, the food here is always the most important thing I worried about. Since I came here, I had tried so many foods here and I think each food own their independent style. Whatever what kind of food they from, I think they both good. But the food I always like best is Chinese food.
