Christmas I sat awaiting all of my family members in the heat filled garage that would become much warmer as the night went on. It would be filled with loud laughter and cheering from my whole family. It would be smelling of grandma’s ham she cooked and pretzel salad my mom makes every year. I’m getting anxious as i hear a car pull up outside crunching on the black gravel. I rush to the window and see my cousins step out of the car, I rush to the door to greet them with a big smile on my face. It is our annual family Christmas party and my cousins one a year older than me and one younger rush to give me a big hug at the door. I haven't seen them in a couple of months and we have all missed each other. My Aunt and Uncle sneak two presents into the garage while my grandma and grandpa give my cousins hugs.
“Well hello there, come on in!” shouts my grandma excitedly. She gives them all kisses on the cheek and then my cousins and I run upstairs to the kitchen, away from all the loud noise. We all have three big grins on our faces when my brother comes in from the living room. He also is smiling and takes ashton in to the garage to play with the legos. Meghan and I await the rest of our family in the kitchen window. More people start showing up and my little cousin Kearson arrives.
The garage in full of all sorts of voices now, for most of my large family has arrived. Meghan and I rush down the stairs greeted my a strong little hug from our favorite cousin.
“Kearson!”
They all greeted us with hugs and compliments. There were: My uncle, aunt, cousins, grandma, and grandpa and we greeted them while my grandma set up
It is curious that as children, humans have the ability to observe and remember details of specific situations and instances yet lack the ability to describe them. Truman Capote, as a grown man, took advantage of his vivid memories and composed the short work, "A Christmas Memory." The story begins in late November, a month symbolic of all the years gone by that Capote could remember beginning preparations for Christmas fruitcakes.

“Are we there yet?” my brother whined. My mom replied, “Almost”. Finally, after three hours in the car I can get out and stretch my legs. When I open the car door I am overwhelmed by the smell of salt. “We’re here!” my dad cheers. Everyone is mingle ing and having side conversations; catching up on what’s been happening the past year. It’s nice to see my relatives again.
My family got really excited because we haven't seen them in about 8 years. but my cousins on the other hand have already seen them about a month ago because my cousins from Virginia visited them while they were at Colombia for vacation. We had a blast at Coco Beach. We found turtles, crabs, and starfish while we were swimming in the ocean. Me personally didn't like the trip to the beach because while I was drying off horseflies were attacking us so we had to run back to the car. When we arrived back to the house we ate pizza and while we were eating pizza we heard a knock on the door. We thought it was someone trying to get in the house but when we looked out the window it was our cousins from Virginia. My cousin Kendra and Sarah forgot who I was so we had to refresh their memory. On the other hand my other cousins ( Sandra and Kenny) remembered who I was. The last time I saw them was when I was about 3 years of
Sometimes a non-fiction book can have relative applications and stories in it, but a fiction book can achieve the same purpose with adding some exaggeration to further support the meaning of the story. The Christmas Carol, written by Charles Dickens, is a fiction story, but it contains a lot of meaning to the outlook on life. The battle between the flesh and the soul adds emphasis on the morals of the human being. Developing the story is an important aspect as well, whether the development is in the conflict, within the characters or the resolution. Inside the conflict, the conflict can either be internal or external. External being the fight between two men, and internal being the conflict within yourself. The Conflict in The Christmas Carol
“Hello,” I asked the inside of the empty house as I closed the door. “Mom? Dad? Amber? Bryce?” I called out, raising my voice a little more now.
Hearing the door open, I jumped out of my bed delighted. My cousins are coming home today and I have not seen them for years. They live in America and I live in Saudi Arabia; the only time we see each other is in the summer in our homeland. As I approached the door, I saw my aunt hugging my grandmother and my cousins hugging my father. The whole household was overjoyed because of their arrival.
First, we went to the house of my aunt. My cousins and I were very happy to see each other. We talked, played and saw the TV. My baby cousin played dolls with my sister.
When I walk through the door, I immediately know where I am. I’ve been coming here since I was just a kid. It’s the beach house we go to as a family every summer. Just thinking about being there makes me really happy as I remember all the great memories I have of that place. I remember the first time my older cousin brought her future husband to meet our family. I remember the first time I got to hold my baby cousin. I look back over years I can see my family growing up as my grandparents decide to retire, my aunt and uncle get married and have kids, my cousins graduating from high school and college, and one is now even married and has a kid on the way.
It was just one of your usual family gatherings. Where all the adults sit around and talk about their jobs, their kids, and or politics. While all the kids run around playing games, swimming, and talk about all of their curious and crazy adventures.
Summer of freshman year my cousins Zachery, Aaron and the newest addition to the family a baby girl named Kailee were visiting from Louisiana along with my Aunt and Uncle Charlie and Margo. Although far from each other our families have always kept close to each other and remained in contact. It had just recently been two years since we moved from Florida to Texas and my mother's side of the family had not yet come to visit us in our new house so we invited them to come stay a week with us to see the new place.
Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. I love seeing the shinny Christmas lights that decorates my street and the sound of fresh fallen snow on the ground. Christmas reminds me of family, the laughter and loved we shared, and the gifts we gave to each other. My house on Christmas became the center of my joy.
After that , everyone comes into the living room and takes a seat on the sofa. I can't stop noticing all the excitement found on my cousins'
Arriving to my cousin house i seen alot of my family members even the ones that was from out of town. We greeted eachother and
