Jackson State Community College is a great place where everyone can go for a head start of education. It is even a great place where it is good people, and has a positive environment. Instructors and administration are always there pushing you to the best of your ability. There are many things that I love about the campus, but one thing that catches my eye is the courtyard or in other words the quadrangle. The Quadrangle is located outside, in the center of the campus surrounded by buildings and stands like the library, gazebo, administrative building, and nursing building. This is a place where individuals can meet up at any giving time of the day to chill and relax. The Quadrangle is placed where it directs you to mostly all of the buildings that Jackson State offers. When going out to the Quadrangle it is a really nice view, full of excitement and fun. Coming out of the classroom building facing the administrative building, on the left side is where the library is located. The library is used for a lot of things and not just for reading books. Here at Jackson State the library has a writing center where people teach and help you on any type of paper that is due. Typing papers during that time spent in the library is optional as well. Printing papers and homework is also optional with no fee of charge. In front of the library entrance is where the parking lot for students can park. Located on the west side of the Quadrangle is placed a tall green and
Music Plays behind us. The bass upon the speaker fill the room. Kai and I wait, silence between us but music fills the air around. The room, a little messy, dribbled paint on the floor, and the smell of Acrylic and pencil shavings linger. The bell for lunch breaks both the music barrier and silence. Kai and I are awakened from out daydream.
Traveling is one of my family’s favorite things to do. The family has visited numerous places throughout the United States, however, none are as memorable as Atlanta, Georgia. In Atlanta, there are many places to go and sights to see such as: Cola-cola factory, Cabbage Patch Kids Factory, Under Ground Mall, the Zoo, Atlanta Braves Stadium, Six Flags Over Georgia, Stone Mountain Park, and the Atlanta Aquarium, are all in or near the city of Atlanta. The three that we visit on every trip to Atlanta are Six Flags, Stone Mountain, and the Atlanta Aquarium.

Highschool. The simple Noun that strikes fear, anxiety, and pure terror in the minds of any teenager within range of hearing it
It has been a long time since hooligans from Fairview stole the trophy and Medicine Lake School's locks have been upgraded by the new Tom Green administration. The old locks have been replaced with expensive and unpickable Abloy cylinders and all glass windows are now alarmed. Nevertheless, despite all the extra security, various items have begun missing from the school for no clear reason. One day, about a third of the computer keyboards are nowhere to be found. The next day, half the clocks are gone. The day after that, someone has taken all the speakers out of the ceiling on the west side. Having a reputation as the guy who got the stolen trophy back from Fairview, I get a call from Tom Green.
High School. The dreadful place every teen must spend possibly the worst four years of their lives in. While countless websites and magazines state that Northfield High School is one of the top public high schools in Minnesota, it is no exception. The teachers and staff take pride in this rating, making to tell each and every one of its prisoners. While the standardized test scores are abnormally high, I would not give credit to the sub-par teachers. Instead, I would credit the fact that this quaint high school is situated in a town with not one, but two liberal art colleges. Thus, much of its students are children of professors. Nevertheless, these statistics are still celebrated. Curious about what makes this high school better than the rest, I spent a day quietly observing the school and the people in it.
I was wasted. I can see the colors again. When I tell this to people they look at me like i just grew two heads. This has been happening to me since i was 19 and drank in my parents basement. Now i'm 22. I've grown to learn what the colors mean. I believe they're auras. Why i only see them while i'm drunk, i dont know. I take a peek at the bartender. He was a strapping young man. Young and beautiful. 24 at the most. He was tall and brawny with black hair and a bit of a stubble. He had beautiful light blue eyes, which was magnificent with his dark complexion. He had a pink aura, as i did. A person walks over and sits by me. She's petite with beautiful black curly hair in a ponytail. She had dark, smooth skin. She had strikingly beautiful facial features. A sharp jaw line and a perfectly contoured nose and face. Her beauty looked natural though. Her aura was a light lavender color.
I remember the night I felt my tears drop into my hands while being in the center of the room. Everything was blurry around me, even my thoughts. The pain I felt hindered my vision and even interfered with my breathing. I desperate tried not to cry, but couldn’t. A foggy figure started to approach me trying to say something but all I could hear was my heartbeat.
Rhythm. The sunlight lightly tapped a beat on my arms, warming me. The crate below me was hot to the touch. I felt the soft sand as I brushed my toes through it. The beach was full of crates. Heaps of them lay in the sun, tanning and conversing in their wooden ways. A few people populated the beach. A cluster of young men was behind me. I listened to their conversation. I had an odd habit of doing that- eavesdropping.
The sun sparkled in like a kaleidoscope of light, spinning, hazy. The grass was warm underneath my bare feet, tickling up between my toes. The breeze tossed my bleach blonde curls around, keeping the temperature at a perfect degree. It had to had been mid-seventies with a slight humidity, the kind of weather that draws a person outside to bask in the sun, to frolic in the breeze, to enjoy the nature in front of them. The sun hid behind a perfectly cloud scattered sky. The plump objects transformed into the creatures of my imagination. The lake reflected the worlds psychedelic colors, mystic and free. Just there, across the lane from my palace, dwelled a magnificent floating spiral island. A place only known to my father, little sister and I. Although I was only four, I understood its secrets. The island was magical, including everything that surrounded it. We lived in a hidden area that only the chosen could find.
I raced through the city; my heart was beating faster and faster with every stride. The air coursed through my brindle-colored coat. With me is my closest companion, my sister, Mabel. She only came along because I told her there would be birds she could chase. But the real reason I wanted to go was to explore the city in which I was born.
After the house was fully finished, my mom wanted to get me signed up for school right away. My education was important to her and she didn't want to waste any time.
I looked out onto what was left of the landscape before me one last time. I used to call this place home but it no longer resembles the one I used to know. “It’s funny how things can go from bad to worse in such a short amount of time” I thought to myself. What once used to be a beautiful blue sky full of puffy clouds shaped like anything that could be imagined was now grey and lifeless. The clouds are no longer white and puffy but dark and menacing. They are racing towards us with the impending storm. The buildings we are leaving behind are still tall and immaculate compared to the brown wasteland around them. There was no longer green in sight except for the vehicles and billboards.
It was a hot, sunny day in fort worth, we were both tired because of the exhausting day of classes we had just finished, when we finally got the opportunity to go have lunch outside of the BLUU for the first time. We wanted something different to get out of the routine, something that would restore energy back to our bodies in order to continue our day. We were deciding which place to visit, but the choice was very hard since we both had heard from many restaurants before. Our enthusiasm diminished when we realized we were low on budget, but we refused to spend another lunch at the BLUU. We took our phones out and decided to call some friends and gather some opinions on where would be the perfect place to go.
