The New Sherwood High School
The parking lots are packed, all the small freshmen are shoved by the amplified seniors, the High School in Sherwood is becoming too crowded, what to do? Build a new one. One that has a bigger parking lot, bigger halls, bigger classrooms, a bigger High school. But what will the transition be like, will traffic grow, and over is this new school worth it. First, the sherwood school district has released plans to construct a new high school across highway 99. Residents who need to get on the highway frequently in the morning while students are driving to the school have complained that the new high school will raise Traffic in the area making them late for work. But the students will be driving in far earlier than
"You know, 20 years ago when I started in this business, I never had to have discussions with the computer folks. My, how have times changed! Today, about 90% of my equipment located within the facility can be managed via my laptop and Web browser. Whenever I plug my laptop into the telephone looking jack in the wall, my operating system says that I'm now operating at 10 megabits. Then, whenever I browse to my equipment, I cannot retrieve any data. After going back and forth with the HVAC support techs, they determined that my connection needed to be 100 megabits. They said it must be my network
Pattonsburg school district is growing. The number of students in the area continues to grow larger each year. The community has seen this rapid growth and decided it was time to vote for an addition to the school. After reviewing the recent enrollment numbers, it was discovered that there has been about a 13 percent increase in students over the past five years. This vote took place at the end of the 2016 school year and construction work began in October.
The issue that causes the most tension at Westside Consolidated School District No. 5 is the school shooting. Many families moved out of the school district as a result and the district has not recovered fully from the departure of those business leaders and students. The projected growth is another community issue that is causing tension. The state of the district buildings and amenities is not on the level of our former rival Valley View nor our current rival Brookland and the district has few options to build new buildings, retain teachers, and offer new class curriculums for the student
The Brikelle academy school (Kemps Landing/Old Donation School) is moving to a new building after three years of construction work from the McKenzie Construction, Inc. Teachers and construction workers have worked hard to make this new building an achievement and make it complete. The plan all started on November 2011, so this has been planned for six years and the construction started on summer of 2014. The energy efficient school was 4 months ahead of time making the school to be open also 4 months ahead of time. This building will be bigger for all 1375 students and teachers, gifted dance and art, grades 2-8 and will be moving to the new building April 3rd at Independence Boulevard and Honey Grove Road. The new school location may change
Is true that the schools can be renovated, as it is going to happen with Davisville School, but the renovation will need to accommodate more than 700 students in the same space, most of the schools are old and were build to have specific capacity of students, however, with
I think that the name of the new school should be Richwoods High School. Richwoods Middle and Elementary Schools are in Washington County, but the High School would be in Jefferson Country. In each class, their was about 15-20 people. Lonedell also has a middle and elementary with about 75 kids in each class. Those kids could come over to Richwoods High school. It is only about 15 minutes between Lonedell Middle School and Richwoods Middle School.

If you are looking at middle schools in Stafford Virginia for your child and you scroll across Stafford Middle school and you are wondering whether or not to enroll your child there. Smithton and Freeburg grade schools have always been rivals when playing junior high sports. Being a Smithton Cougar, I felt a rush of anxiousness before a game against the Freeburg Hornets no matter what sport: softball, basketball, or volleyball. At the time, basketball was my favorite sport; it was my favorite thing to do. Basketball games against Freeburg were one of the most stressful but exciting games I would play during my junior high career. I remember the nerves that never failed to come when tying my shoes and getting ready to play one of the toughest games of the season. Maybe they intimidated me a little, or the close proximity of our towns brought out those nerves. My heart raced with adrenaline. Part of the anxiousness came from
Medomak Valley High School, located in Waldoboro, ME, is the only high school in Maine School Administrative District #40 and serves students from Friendship, Waldoboro, Warren, Washington, and Union in midcoast Maine. For decades, the school district had two middle schools - A.D. Gray Middle School, which served students from Friendship and Waldoboro, and D.R. Gaul Middle School, which served students from Warren, Washington, and Union. In the fall of 2008, the year I started at Medomak Valley High School, the district opened Medomak Middle School to serve all seventh and eighth grade students in the district and closed A.D. Gray Middle School and D.R. Gaul Middle School. The new middle school was built at the Medomak Valley High
I moved to Crawford my 7th grade year. I attended Crawford Middle School that year. That year went by exceptionally well, but the next year the school closed for 7th and 8th graders, so I had to join Hotchkiss Middle School. I found the Hotchkiss kids very welcoming, and friendly. I instantly became friends with almost all of them. There was just something so welcoming about that school from the friendly teachers who all cared very deeply about each individual student. The happy and friendly attitude wasn’t just at the school, it seemed everyone everywhere was just so happy to be in a beautiful place. Hotchkiss has always been a home for me from that day on because of the welcoming attitudes.
The new Plainville High School has finished rebuilding. There has been many changes to the new school. It took them some time but it all came out just as planned. All the students at PHS are very excited to see all the new changes in their school, and can not wait to start the new year with a new school. The students think that this year will be one of the best years they have had at PHS.
Currently, the Southeast Corridor is districted for Lincoln Elementary School, Crestwood Middle School, and Tuscarora High School (Office of the County Executive, 2017). The County has set a goal of keeping countywide school capacity at 90%. However, under the county's Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance, any schools that service new development areas must have school enrollment 100% under capacity for all phases of development. The Tuscarora High School will need an additional 60 to cope with future development but is it anticipated to be solved by redistricting through the Board of Education. Unfortunately, Lincoln Elementary School has an anticipated deficit of 620 seats with all current development projects, meaning another elementary school will need to be built at a rough price of $42 million for more redevelopment to be approved.
Throughout the seventeen years that I’ve been alive I have witnessed all the sacrifices my parents have gone through ensuring I have a better future than they did. I come from immigrant parents that weren’t fortunate enough to continue studying. I myself was brought into the country when I was two years old so I could build a different path than the one my parents had to take due to financial reasons. Short after, my sister was born my mom got remarkably ill with Diabetes. I would watch in terror as my mother would lay in bed barely able to move. I held her hand, wiped her forehead, with a cool wet towel, and longed she would get all better. Being the oldest in the
Have you ever wanted a change in the school for the better? Such as new lockers, better bathrooms, smoother parking lots? We want to physically change Floyd County High School (FCHS) for safety and unique reasons . First, lockers are a big part of the school. They hold everything your Floyd County High School students need. Secondly, the parking lot needs to be improved with all the bumps and many potholes. Third, Bathrooms are where a lot of students go for peace and quiet, or if they need to go. Students are embarrassed enough for going to the bathroom but then, to make it worse, the toilets don't flush.
The most distinct setting of Harry Potter is Hogwarts. Hogwarts is a wondrous, magical building with many towers and turrets. It is home to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I find Hogwarts location, its castle, the grounds, and Quiddich fascinating.
