Singapore and Malaysia (henceforth referred to as DRC), are facing similar problems in their countries, although they are at different level of development. Singapore is ranked as world’s top 10 wealthiest countries, from rapid development since the late 1950s. Meanwhile, Malaysia is still a developing country where it’s GDP(10,000USD) is compared to Singapore’s 55,000 USD, which is nearly five times that of Malaysia. Such difference between two countries also can be seen in their corruption rate, politics and many other areas. Malaysia in 2015 has ranked 54th corrupt countries out of 175 countries, which has ranked 2nd least corrupt countries in Asia followed by Singapore, which remained as least corrupt countries in Asia according to the Strait Times . However, these corruption index doenst Although two countries are neighbouring countries, Singapore and Malaysia in significantly different in their economics, culture, politics etc. However two countries have enacted far reaching statutory limitations upon free speech, association and assembly in their quest to control media and the production of political news and commentary. The two countries violate the following UDHR articles: article 19, which is the right to freedom of expression, and article 23, which is the workers rights.
