" In spite of everything ,I still believe people are good at heart,"this comes from the diary of Anne Frank.I agree with Anne Frank that people are good at heart. I agree with this because everybody is naturally born good at heart so if something changed them for the worse it could just be a cry for help. I believe everyone has good inside them, you just have to look deeper into their soul to find it. Meip Gies was one of the people that helped the Franks hide from Hitlers solders, the Nazis. Meip brought them supplies they needed and any news about WWII. She did this even though she knew if she was caught she could have been arrested or killed. When the Van Danns were invited to hide with the Franks, the franks helped them when they first arrived. We all know that at first this seems like the kind of thing everybody would do at a time like that but lots of people wouldn't. Meip kept Anne's diary, she never read it and returned it to Mr.Frank after WWII. She didn't have to return it but she did, she could have read it but she didn't, she could have thrown it away because it was to much for her to bare but she didn't, she kept it and gave it to her father. Her father was the one that published the diary and sold it for the rest of us to know about it , this would have …show more content…
If people aren't good at heart then why did Meip return the diary to Mr.Frank or even keep it? There is also the fact that people where willing to risk their lives to hide Jews. People that don't believe say that "if people are really good at heart than why did the holocaust even occur in the first place?",this is because people act based on what they feel in the moment or what their told to do but and i get that they hate but their must have been some good before something struck them to do what they did. We also base them on assumptions but we don't see from their point of
Miep Gies was sent to netherland for care and bonded with her foster family. She had married a dutch man and worked for otter frank, Miep worked as secretary becoming closer to otter frank’s family Miep had helped otter frank’s family she hid them in a secret annex after they were found Miep found the youngest of the group Anne Frank’s diary and stored it and gave it to Anne’s father when he returned after the war, as the only one survived at the concentration camps and once he returned Anne’s diary was once had miep returned the book to anne's father otto frank decided to fulfill his daughter's wishes and arranged for the diary to be published in 1947 (Miep 1).
The Franks and other Jews hiding in the secret annex were caught on August 4, 1944, and were taken to the concentration camps. Luckily, Miep and the other co-workers were not taken away. A couple days after the arrest, Mip returned to the secret annex. While in the secret annex, Miep found Anne's diary. She held onto in entell the Franks return.
Anne Frank was a young girl who lived during the holocaust who lived during Hitler’s reign in Amsterdam. Only one problem: She was Jewish. In July of 1942, Margot Frank was called to report to a concentration camp. The Franks were forced into hiding in an annex behind Mr. Frank’s business. The Franks, along with the Van Pels and Mr. Pfeffer, hid in the annex for about two years. During her time in hiding, Anne confided in a diary. In her diary, she wrote “Despite everything, I believe people are really good at heart.” I agree with Anne. In my opinion, everyone is good at heart; they just show it in different ways. People do what they think is right. Even though there is evil in the world, I believe that deep down, everyone is good at heart.
The events recounted in Anne Frank’s Diary took place during World War 11. By 1933, the strongest party in Germany had gained ultimate power with Hitler under their command. Hitler was Germany’s dictator who spread his gospel of racial hatred through politics. While poverty and unemployment were at an all time high he launched a campaign of anti-Semitism. Hitler’s main target was the Jews, claiming that they were “racially inferior.” He developed an idea of a Master Aryan Race, the need to rid Germany of “inferior people”, such as Jews and Gypsies, and the need to expand Germany’s borders. In doing this, he caused many Jews to abandoned their homes and go into total isolation. The Frank family
To tie it all up, in “The Diary of Anne Frank,” there were many characters that contributed to the theme that people are good at heart. A lot of the characters expressed this theme, but Anne Frank, Miep Gies, and Mr. Frank contributed to the theme the most. They contributed to this theme through kindness, selflessness, and positive thinking. Without the diary that Anne Frank wrote, many people in the world today would not realize how important life
Although like Anne, I believe that all people are really good at heart, I can see how others might disagree with me
Anne Frank, a name? A book? A girl? A prisoner? Anne was all these things. She lived in a world ruled by the Germans. Adolf Hitler, the ruler of the Nazi Germans ordered for the whole Jew population to be destroyed. He ordered all Jews to be taken from their homes and to be sent to labor or death camps, also known as concentration camps. Once Anne’s family heard of this they went into hiding with four other Jews. After two years of hiding, not being able to go outside, talk or move a lot, or being able to use the W.C. at certain times of the day, the Franks, Vaan Dans, and Mr. Dussel were turned in by a random citizen and were arrested. Before that time Anne had a diary where she wrote her deepest most inner thoughts. She once said, “Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart.” I disagree with Anne’s statement, “Despite everything, I believe people are really good at heart.”
Think about being trapped in an attic for two years. Not being able to go outside, limited amount of food, never being able to get away from each other. This is what the Frank family,VanDaan family, and Dussel had to deal with in the Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett. Heroism can be defined in many ways but in order to be a hero in this situation you need to be brave, courageous, bold and fearless. There are a lot of characters who show heroism.
Do you believe all people have a little good in them? Anne Frank did. She was a Jewish teenage girl who went into hiding during Holocaust of World War II. She didn’t want to live up to her mother’s expectations, mostly because she felt that she couldn’t. All her mother wanted was for her to be more like Margot, her older sister. In fact, she stated in her diary, "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." There are many reasons why she said this. But they all circulate around the primary idea that she was an optimistic person and tried to always see the brighter side in everything.
Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who went into hiding during the Holocaust because the Jews were being sent to concentration camps. When Anne went into hiding she took her diary with her and in it she recorded her story. One line in her diary that stood out was the quote, “Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart.” On this issue I agree with Anne. That despite whatever evils a person may have committed, they are good at heart.
Even though Anne Frank was being hunted by Nazi's she still believed that some of them are good at heart. This quote is from her diary, "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart."Anne has been probably one of the nicest girls you will ever meet . During her ordeal Anne Frank wanted to stay positive. Anne visually perceived glee in everyone, she wanted to stay optimistic. Anne Was saccharine and nice, and she wanted to be positive. I would not want to be miserable while in concealed, that would be terrible. Imagine having sadness and the extra sadness gets piled on top of that, that would suck. So she did all she did to keep herself happy so she didn't feel down all day.
She was providing income for the business and kept a lot of attention away from the building. On August 4, 1944, after two years of hiding the family, the secret annex was raided by Nazis and everyone in the annex was sent to concentration camps. Miep returned to the annex to find no one there and the apartment a complete wreck. While she was searching through the mess she found Anne Frank's diary laying on the floor. Miep then grabbed the diary and kept it for when and if the family ever returned. The only person who returned was Otto Frank. He was the only survivor of the Frank family and when Miep heard this she soon gave him Anne’s diary. Otto Frank was very appreciative of Miep when he got the diary. He felt as if he had a piece of Anne still with him and was very grateful that Miep had saved it for him. Otto and Miep were convinced they had to get the diaries published. They never rested until the diaries were published and in 1947 that is exactly what happened. Miep was a very humble person in the fact that she thought she was just doing her human duty by protecting all the people she did just like she says in these two quotes, “Permanent remorse about failing to do your human duty, in my opinion, can be worse than losing your life,” and “Imagine young people would grow up with the feeling that you have to be a hero to do your human duty. I am afraid nobody would
Conflict has been solved in a variety of ways in many many different situations, but do we as humans really know what the best way is? Though there is not and will never be a definitive answer to this question, studies have shown that positivity is one of the best ways to handle conflict. The conflict can be as big as things like making it through the holocaust or as small as what TV show to watch, but positivity will almost always improve your situation in some way or another.
At first, Anne was terrified to go into hiding but her positivity and hope showed and taught many people lessons on how you should look at life. Anne had such a big influence on the people who read her diary. The play that was constructed off of her diary writings really lets us understand how and what Anne was feeling along with the others in the house. The Franks in addition to their friends, had people who helped them out while they were in hiding. This is one reason why Anne would have thought that people were really good at heart. One prime example is Miep Gies. She helped the Franks even though she was not faithful in the Jewish religion. Meip replenished everyone in the group by bringing them what they needed. She had a well thought out tactic that helped her be able to bring supplies to the secret annex. She never gave up on them and helped them through their entire hiding. This shows that people may not believe in the same things as you, but deep in their heart, they are willing to help anyone in need. The group of people hiding in the secret annex was in need, they had no way of getting food or any other supplies. This is where Miep came in to help them. She brought them the food, plus all of the supplies that they needed, therefore, making them live much longer than they should have. In the play, you could tell how happy the family was to see her. On page 326, we read, “Thank you, Miepia. You shouldn’t have done it.” this was
“In spite of everything I still believe people are truly good at heart.” Anne Frank wrote this quote in her diary. I do believe that people are truly good at heart. Though sometimes people don’t do the right thing, people are generous towards each other, even during bad times. People take care of each other and help each other when they need it. When things are bad, people try to have an optimistic attitude.
