Were Hitler’s actions caused by his childhood? Was his hatred only for the Jews? When did he come to such a great power? Adolf Hitler had a poor childhood, began to run the country at the age of forty-four, and killed many others besides the Jews.
Adolf Hitler had a poor home life growing up as a child. Hitler’s father was very controlling from the day he was born in 1889. Alois, Hitler’s father, was determined to achieve absolute obedience from the family. Hitler was also abused by his father when Alois was often drunk. School was very important to Hitler’s father, school was heavily stressed upon him as Hitler grew up. As Hitler reached the age of twelve, the amount of motivation began to decline. When his father died when Hitler was fourteen, Hitler only attended school for two more years before dropping out. Strangers or outsiders who saw Hitler as a young boy often noticed he was very independant and only seemed interested in games about war. While Hitler attended school, the teachers saw the boy as arrogant and cocky. In January of 1933, the Nazi party came to power. At this time when the party began, Hitler, was forty- four years of age. Staring in 1939, Hitler attacked Poland. Reaching 1941, the country of Germany occupied a vast amount of Europe During the time the Nazi party was active, over six million Jews had been torchered and killed. This took place over the course of twelve years, or until 1945. The goal of the Holocaust was to form a pure raced country with only the Germans native genetics and appearances.
