Different Aspects Of Life : Miriam, Mike, And Juanita

Miriam, Mike, and Juanita are all in different aspects of their life. Miriam is the youngest, she is around eight years old or so. Mike is the middle child, he is around nine through about thirteen years old. Juanita is the oldest, she is maybe around fifteen to eighteen years old, possibly twenty. Each child according to Piaget, Kohlberg, and Erikson is in a different Moral, Psychosocial, and Cognitive developmental stage. According to Piaget’s Stages of Development, Miriam, Mike, and Juanita are all between the concrete operational and formal operational stages. Miriam being the youngest is in the beginning stages of the concrete operational stage, whereas Mike is making the transition from this stage to formal operation. Here Miriam can understand things such as the conservation of mass, but still has trouble with the abstract concepts and reasoning. Mike can do this plus, inferred reality, reversibility, inversion, classification, conservation, and understand the abstract. He however is also starting to transition to the formal operation. Juanita being the oldest is already in the Formal operational stage. In this final stage of Piaget’s Stages of Development, they have a grasp on logic and can now understand abstract thinking. They can use their new cognitive abilities to ponder something such as what is my role in life? Or something as simple as thinking ahead in the future, or simply solving a complex math problem.
