Applying the four categories of Situational Approach would be easy if i was a head football coach. I witness my coaches do it all the time. Say if i was a head coach at a middle school. This is the in between level of coaching that can sometimes be difficult. Because at this stage the children are old enough to know better, but still to young to exhibit there talent to its full potential. I would use the supportive branch by being a good support system or the kids when they are sad about loosing games (hopefully we would not). I can also use the supportive branch by being supportive to them when there parents are being hard on them about being the best. I can use the coaching approach easily, by being there for them when they make big plays
The situational approach stresses that leadership is composed of both a directive and a supportive dimension, and that each has to be applied appropriately in a given situation (Northouse, 2016). I recently retired from the Army after doing 20 years of active federal service. I was a sergeant after three years, made staff sergeant after six, and at my 11 year mark I decided to put in a warrant officer packet, in which I got accepted to become Warrant Officer 1. The young men and women that I had the privilege of leading all came from different walks of life, were different age, and had different levels of experience. This is why I identify more with the situational approach.
All situations are different and a leadership style applied in one situation will not always work in another. A leader must use judgement to decide the most appropriate style needed for each situation. The ‘Situational Approach’ to leadership identifies four leadership styles which are;
Situational theory is when athletes base their actions depending on the environment and situation they are placed. This theory can suggest that if an athlete is in a pressured environment or situation it can sometimes cause a player to react in an irrational manner which can have a serious negative effect on their performance. This can also have a positive effect on some athletes who thrive under pressure and it can cause them to play to their highest level. Someone I feel suffered from this particular theory is Zinedine Zidane, A former French International
In “Scripture: Nourished by the Word (Catholic Basics: A Pastoral Ministry Series)” Ralph (2001) emphasises the importance of a contextualist approach when reading scripture. Firstly, this essay will discuss Ralph’s statement and outline the difference between a fundamental and contextual approach towards reading the Bible. Secondly, these different approaches will be demonstrated on three different examples: the Genesis’ creation accounts, the stories of miracles in the Gospel writings, and Jesus’ words towards his mother Mary just before his crucifixion. Finally, a conclusion is drawn on how a contextualist approach assists in gaining a better understanding of God.
In order to create a successful marketing plan, a situational analysis must be conducted on AllStar Brands Medicine Group. This situational analysis will be an internal and external analysis and will include the 5Cs, known as Context, Competitors, Customers, Collaborators, and Company. Situational leadership theory is when a leader adapt’s to the situation and the management styles to the behavioral needs of the individual or group. Trait approach leadership gives more credence to the qualities and traits that people are born with that make them natural born leaders.
These are the three models of Case Management that are used The role-based case management, the organization-based case management, the responsibility-based case management. The main reason for the difference of the three is for servicing the clients the best and best taking care of their needs. The role-based case management main goal when working with there clients is make sure their clients is receiving the services in which their client needs. Also another important thing is to make sure each service is doing what’s best for the client. An example of this would be making sure the client therapist, rehabilitation are all working together. The next model is the organization-based case management is for clients who have multiple problems and
MOV Annotation Analysis Act V 1. Situational Irony: Situational irony: Irony involving a situation in which actions have an effect that is opposite from what was intended, so that the outcome is contrary to what was expected. The approach that I would use to conduct research and interpret the situational analysis for my hometown would entail that the strategic communication provides an important message that “reflects my agency’s overall strategy, values, purpose, and mission to persuade key stakeholders and enhance positioning” (Hoover, pp. 17). Due to the complexity of the world in which we live in, we as leaders are unable to create a policy, force it amongst the chain of command and expect it to come to life. So many messages bombard people every day, but when a strategic message is delivered, it will resonate a lot better with employees. My core strategic communication will carry an intense communication that will not only reflect my agency’s strategy; it will
The situational speculation of organization relies upon the characteristics of the various leveled followers and choosing the best possible expert direct. The theory has four standard specialist styles organizing, educating, entrusting, and supporting. The style associated changes in perspective of the task and practices of the lovers or delegates. "The situational specialist theory proposes the refinement between the successful and unsuccessful of the four organization styles is the respectability of the pioneer's lead to the particular condition in which it is used" (Waller, D, 1989) or the limit of the pioneer to change in light of the necessities of the lover or delegate. The situational theory evaluates the aficionados by ability, duty, and

As a teacher, my leadership lens has been as a situational style leader looking at my students “task” and “relationship behavior” and “adapted my leader style according” (Saunders, 2008, p. 36). I evaluate my students and assess their level of development to determine how to motivate and lead them. There are four types of development sectors “include enthusiastic beginner, disillusioned learner, reluctant contributor, and peak performer” (Saunders, 2008, p. 41). The nature of education with the need to satisfy the many stakeholders, I believe that a situational style leader allows you to “adapt your leadership style based, on the situation at hand, to you ensure

Situational leadership, developed by professor Paul Hersey and author and consultant Ken Blanchard. Their approach was based off of a 1967 article by W.J. Reddin called The 3-D Management Style Theory. In his article, Reddin discusses the need to have different styles based on the demands of the leader. A leader needs to be flexible in their approach to meet the needs of the job, their superior and their subordinates (1967). Hersey and Blanchard progressed this theory by introducing the Situational Leadership II model. Their model breaks leadership into four different styles, and how a leader must alter their approach in supporting and directing their subordinates based on a given situation. These styles are directing (S1), coaching (S2), supporting (S3) and delegating (S4). The model also focuses on the development level of the subordinates by categorizing them between low (D1), moderate (D2 and D3) and
