I hope all is well. I've been following PwC in the news and I am quite excited to learn about the part they play in the CEO Action For Diversity and Inclusion initiative. I wonder how this has impacted the associates of PwC? Are they excited about being apart of a company that is taking on such an important initiative? I am very interested in becoming a part of PwC in the near future. I've attached an updated copy of my resume. Thank you for your time.
We're looking for alum of all ages, all races, all abilities, all religions, all orientations and all genders to join the Diversity Alumni Council!
The quirky show “The Office” shadows office workers of “Dunder-Mifflin Paper Company”, a fictional paper distributor in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Occasional one v. one discussions with the employee's, “raw” footage, and many humorously bizarre yet relatable plots that have made this series enormously popular. The show portrays some of life’s most awkward situations and not only does it make the audience laugh, but also delivers small dosages of life lessons.

I am very interested in participating in the SIUE Diversity Summer camp because I am very passionate about healthcare and I also want to become a pediatrician when I am older. I am currently in medical terminology, chemistry I, and health occupations. In these classes, I do very well in, and it makes me more interested in becoming a nurse. I also am on the board for Health Occupations Student of America (HOSA). I am leading a committee called the thirst project where you raise money for people to get clean water in third world countries. In HOSA I have designed the school shirt and helped represent the club at events. I am also apart of three other clubs in which I am thoroughly active in and while maintaining all A's in school. Women have had a rough way to go for many years when it comes to equality. They face many negative things in today’s society and that is the way it has been for many years. History shows that women have been fighting for equality for decades, because many people believe they just can’t do the things that men can. There’s a website that has been helping women fight for that equality since 1966. That website is www.now.org. Before then women never really had any help. They had to rely on each other to show everyone what they could really do. Women have fought to try and end discrimination when it comes to jobs and economic justice. So the status of women throughout history has changed,

In my intro to social work class, I was able to learn more about the Diversity Certificate Program. When my advisor first told me about the program, I did not know if I wanted to do it depending on how busy my schedule was. But, after I heard more about the benefits and opportunities that I would obtain from this program, I decided that it would be a great opportunity and I wanted to be a part of it! Plus the program is flexible so I can be able to incorporate it in my schedule so I can graduate on time.
To participate in the Diversity Project would be excellent experience to partake in research and gain knowledge on integrative approach towards the study of biodiversity of coral reef ecosystems. Through field work and laboratory training, I would be participating in laboratory research which will complement career development that will help with successfully applying to graduate school and choosing a career. With this experience it will enhance my academic goals by allowing me to get a firsthand experience in collaborating with other researchers and help them in their research. With this it will help in my academic goals because with this research I could use the experience as an internship class required for my major and possible use it for
I completely agree with you and I was also surprised about how people discriminate others in the health care system. Based on the research, Blacks and other people from racial groups “are less likely to be given appropriate medication for heart diseases or to undergo bypass surgery”. When I first read this, I was very surprised because I thought the discrimination rate is decreasing today, and most of the inequalities exist in workplace. Prejudices in health care system may cause some serious consequences if the patient couldn't get the appropriate treatment and attention.
“92 BLX The Beat of The Bay. This is DJ Rodsky” boomed the radio into my preschool classroom at St. Mary Catholic School. My best friend Emani's dad was featured on the radio that morning, and my teacher let the whole class tune in. While in may seem like an odd occurrence to listen to a rap station in a preschool setting, it highlights the attitude towards diversity that shaped my formative education. Instead of the hand-picked, curated diversity that sometimes plagues schools, this encounter demonstrates the raw, unalderterated diversity that kindles appreciation for all races, genders, backgrounds, or affiliations without any reservations.
I was very excited when I saw this essay prompt because diversity is actually one of the main criteria that drew me into NC State. All throughout my schooling life, for as long as I can remember, I never attended any schools that were diverse. There was always one extremely predominant race or gender, and it’s something that truly disturbed me. I am excited to attend a college that is so diverse in many aspects, that I will be able to benefit from in multiple different ways. I will be able to learn and understand new perspectives which will help me gain an open mind and heart to be able to accept different kinds of people. I will be able to familiarize myself with different backgrounds and cultures, because I am so accustomed to my own, I
When America was founded, it was established on freedom and equality for all people. At first it was just religious freedom, but eventually freedom of speech, press, petition, and more. In time, America began to be known as a “melting pot” of cultures as more and more people came because they wanted this freedom; the more people who came though, the more problems America had. There were too many cultural discrepancies between people, and ultimately America, the country based on freedom and equality, faced challenges concerning diversity.
My diversity experience began on November 12, 2016 in Wilmington, North Carolina at the Jamaica’s Comfort Zone restaurant. I chose this experience because I feel I need to learn more about Jamaica, Jamaicans and their culture. Also, because there appears to be a large number of Jamaicans residing in various parts of the United States, particularly in New York, Florida, and Georgia (Atlanta). Prior to searching for an authentic Jamaican restaurant, I decided that I needed to do some research regarding the culture of Jamaica; and, as a result of my research, I discovered that the culture of Jamaica is quite interesting to learn about. In fact, Jamaica is a mountainous Caribbean island just south of Cuba (see Figure 1) with a population of approximately
We live in a society where people come from different countries, they belong to different cultural, religion, ethnic groups, and races. All these factors come together and contributes to differences that make us unique from each other. Hence, a multicultural country with huge diversity.
