I’ve met really wonderful women while interning at Dress for Success. The staff was always warm and welcoming. It was not too far into my internship where I began to feel like one of the team. Many of the volunteers at Dress for Success come from business backgrounds. Samara worked at Neiman Marcus for a number of years and has impeccable fashion sense. Kristina works in marketing at
After I graduated from high school, I still didn’t know where and what I wanted to do, but I always knew that I wanted to be in the fashion industry. My sister, who is graduated from The New School Parsons with a degree of fashion design, helped to lead me and trace a path for me. That’s how I decided to come to New York and started my adventure. The first year I had a foreign language study as known as American Language Program at Columbia University. After I completed my studies for a year, I applied to Berkeley college for the fashion merchandising and management major, after I got accepted, I started my studies in 2012 and continue my education in Berkeley College currently.
Into 11th grade I pursued this path of taking fashion classes in the city, and took fashion marketing classes in. From all the hard work and determination In these classes through out high school, I was rewarded with high grades, which are hard to obtain in these courses. I also stood out because I was interviewed and placed upon the FIT website itself, under “who’s in precollege?” (When you apply for a course) which holds the information and pictures of a handful of unique and stylish individuals. All of my fashion experiences as a whole have built me into the hardworking, determined, independent individual I am now and I am very proud that was able to achieve these aspects in order to reach my goal of being apart of the fashion industry. I also feel that this has made me eligible and also worthy of becoming a member of the National Honor Society who’s character will be beneficial towards this
After graduating from Brazosport College, I plan to transfer to the University of Houston in the spring of 2018 to obtain my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Management. Once I complete my Bachelor’s degree my goal is to have my own fashion boutique. I have always been told to find my passion and turn it into a career. Turning my love for fashion into my own business is what I plan to accomplish one day. My goal is to not only have my own business, but create a platform that will make a positive impact in the community and the lives of each customer.

So both the company and I were fairly new to the intern and company relationship. I think it worked out well the first person I met was the former vice president of operations Michael fink. I met mike at the career fair that was held in the lane university center. He told me they were looking for guys to do summer work and that they also had a mass communication internship opportunity. A few weeks later I met with vice president of development Gregory frank.
I, Bailey Russell, participated in FCCLA’s Fashion Construction STAR Event. For this project I decided to make an evening gown. My inspiration came from the 1940s and the golden age of Hollywood. The dress is an emerald green full length velvet gown, with a short train. Unlike many students, I drafted my own pattern. This is something that made me stand out as a designer, as none of the other students I met did this. At national convention I presented my gown to a panel of judges, and made a gold rating. I put a lot of dedication in to this project and am proud of my achievements.
The NCAA is a non-profit organization that organizes and executes college sports, which includes football, basketball, etc. Key word from the previous sentence would be “non-profit organization”. What kind of “non-profit organization” makes as much money as they do? The NCAA players bring in great revenue with their outstanding efforts in bringing their team up to the top, because that is what the fans like to watch. Now does it seem fair that the NCAA does not give the players back any money at all to the players that actually bring the money in? In simple terms the NCAA makes large amounts of profits and needs to start distributing some of the money to the players (History of College Basketball, 2013). According to another article, the
I am very interested in becoming a part of Nordstrom’s team through its retail management internship. As I finish my junior year at the College of William and Mary, I am proud of my academic work, my positions in diverse organizations on campus, and my overall work experience. I believe that these experiences, paired with my creativity and work ethic, make me a great candidate for Nordstrom. This summer I will be able to contribute to Nordstrom’s commitment to providing customers with the best shopping experience.
In the eyes of people all around the world, success is viewed as how much wealth and items an individual has. Rose Mary, a pursuer in being a fashion designer, nevertheless, is successful due to her drive and motivation to reach her goal. Each year, the organization strives to bring in a speaker who is… and has experienced retail industry. In searching for a speaker, the group looks for someone whom the students will find to be both relatable and inspiring. The reason for this being that the majority of the members of this organization are at a highly impressionable age. By hearing success stories from industry pioneers, they will hopefully be encouraged to pursue their life’s ambitions.
Dressing for success can either make or break you during an interview. Your appearance is the first impression an employer gets before you can even shake their hand. What you wear can make a huge impact on whether or not you get picked for the desired job. There can be a fine line between too little, just right and too much. The employer can build a good idea of you as a person just by what you’re wearing. For example, if someone were to show up to an interview for a dental assisting position at a dentistry, the ideal candidate should be wearing professional attire, such as dress pants and a fitted blouse, or perhaps a classy skirt or dress. Never wear too much jewelry or bright, eye catching colors. Although this may make you stand

As a non-profit organization, our company has been profoundly doing well in helping raise money for families. Being with an organization which is committed to providing assistance to families in impoverished towns is very generous. Although, there is a concern I would like to address regarding using certain data we are using in our annual reports. The company uses pie charts to display data and prefers one type of pie chart over the other. I feel that we should use the pie chart which demonstrates the percentages.
