Finally, as the moment the parents have been waiting for arrives, friends and family anticipate the news of a healthy, newborn child. However, not everything goes as planned, and the child fails their newborn hearing screening. Then, three months later, the child is found to have a profound hearing loss. This leaves the parents with a tough choice: Do they let their child enter the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community?
