The DuPont’s major core has been the creation and innovation of fibers for several uses, such as Lycra spandex fiber, diverse polyester forms, Nomex Aramid fiber and Qiana nylon. The invention of Kevlar brought a new market cluster for DuPont to develop, and that one is the tire and aerospace industries. The ones declining might be the projections expected from the technology. In conclusion, the decision made is to invest in the fiber Kevlar. The reason for this is that this fiber provides a lot of market opportunities and because of is almost brand new, it can still be discovered new uses for it. The actual market is big so, in the beginning the initial selling process shouldn’t be a problem to develop and to gain the first earnings and with that, it can be re-invested the profit to make the Kevlar
