E-Learning Tools
This paper will discuss three tools used at the University of Phoenix that give their students transfer lifelong skills that can be used in the work place as well as everyday life. Learning Teams, rEsource, and Problem Based Learning are the tools that teach students problem-solving techniques and social skills. The rEsource contains valuable links to information resources that allows students to enhance their research skills.
The Value of rEsource

Team members are assigned roles that rotate from assignment to assignment improving the students social skills, giving student the feeling of self worth and a sense of belonging, each team member is viewed as a valuable assets to the entire team. Once the learning team members start to understand that each of them has to contribute to learn they will earn a valuable experience in communication, trust, leadership, decision making, and conflict resolution. "Many studies have shown that when correctly implemented, cooperative learning improves information acquisition and retention, higher-level thinking skills, interpersonal and communication skills, and self-confidence" (Johnson, Johnson, and Smith, 1998). The most valuable lessons learned from Learning Team is those students who work together have success in accomplishing common goals.
The Value of Problem-Based Learning
The ability to problem-solve and work in effective teams are highly prized attributes in the workplace, Problem based learning provides students with these skills and attributes. "Few people in society work in isolation. Because social interaction is such an important aspect of work life, problem based learning incorporates collaborative teams in the solving of relevant problems. This methodology promotes student interaction and teamwork, thereby enhancing students' interpersonal skills (Bernstein et al., 1995; Pincus, 1995; Vernon, 1995). Problem based
Technology of the past 20 years has become a focal point of teaching and learning. As a teacher, it is my job to facilitate the learning for an individual by creating an environment that not only conducive for learning, but also places the child in a position to discover and learn them for themselves. Technology has given teachers to opportunity to take learning beyond the classroom, and has begun to reshape their role in the learning process.
The intention of the Comprehensive Classroom Technology Plan is to enhance the use of technology in the classroom to improve the education that students receive in their learning and communicating. The detail found within the Comprehensive Classroom Technology Plan will describe the ability of the teacher to use technology in an effective manner within the classroom while providing a safe, secure, and educational environment for students to learn.
One of the more important skills students will learn outside the classroom is teamwork. This quality can not be taught it must be learned by experience. Members will be on teams to compete in competitions. Students must learn the limits and strengths of their team member if they wish to succeed. This skill prepares students for the team work assignments which will be required in classes, as well as in everyday
The aim of this unit is to reflect upon, justify and evaluate my own assessment methods and decisions in my specialist area, which is Employability Skills.
“When groups are planned so that each member's strengths have authentic importance to the ultimate success of the group's activity, this creates a situation where individual learning styles, skills, and talents are valued, and students shine in their fortes and learn from each other in the areas where they are not as expert.”(Willis)
All team members will respect the ideas and views of the other members even if there is disagreement. Team members will encourage each other and help each other along through the course so that the end goal can be achieved.
Reflecting on experience is an important capability for an individual to be able to move forward. As (SOURCE) said, “(CONTEXT”). Moreover, individuals ought to be able to work not only individually, but also to work together in a group. Working with other people, especially whom you have not known is not as easy as it seems. In fact, it is quite difficult to develop an effective team. Through this reflection essay on the group presentation that I did last Monday, I have become more aware of useful strategies to deal with issues and understand what could be improved for future presentations. Developing teamwork skills is am important benefit for me as future professional workers.
• There is more than one path to achieve a goal. The majority of the classes at Jones require team problem-solving experiences. The evaluation was more heavily weighted on the collective approach to solving the problem. When teams presented their approach and answers, most teams prioritized and solved the problems differently, yet came to the same, correct answer. This has taught me that diverse thinking enables a greater contribution of ideas.
Week two of my classroom handbook will be of the topic problem solving skills used during conflict in the classroom. Kaiser and Rasminsky suggest a five step process that will effectively teach children at the early childhood level problem solving skills to last a life time. I will go over each step and then provide an example of what this process might look like in a classroom.
First, learning to work, as a team, can be difficult if the person you’re working with always has to have the right answer or nobody wants to agree on something. It takes everyone in the group or on the team to work together to be successful in whatever it is they are trying to accomplish. The term
Using technology in the classroom is a sensitive issue. It is the teacher?s responsibility to
E-learning has come to dominate the strategic thinking of employers over the past decade in several countries. Only in recent years in India, there has been focus on e-learning, this is due to the recent development in MNC, BPO and IT concerns. This is widely seen due to the connected economy, become intangible and fast growing among organizations. Due to emerging MNC’s, globalisation has become one of the most important criteria to increase flexibility of communications, and hence become vital among the organization. Despite the emphasis on e-learning and large investments made on training it is still not clear and ongoing success have not yet been recognized, due to the ongoing structural changes among managements. The problem in
Education is an important part of people’s lives; it will either make them or break them in the future depending on the careers they choose. Education is greatly diverse today in comparison to the 1950s because of advancements in teaching and other great inventions that provide easier techniques of teaching. One major issue that has been raised is distant learning courses and online education.
Research over the past 40 years has shown conclusively that technology-based methods are usually superior to traditional ones.
Online education has grown since it first came about, there are mixed views on whether it is truly beneficial. The reasons for the huge growth of online education is money even though online education targeted working adults that have little or no time to sit in a traditional classroom for millions of men and women serving in the armed forces online education has made earning a degree much more possible.
