I became a part of the EOF because I like to study and work hard in the summer. This program is helpful because college is different than high school and in college I have to work harder and do all my best to pass the summer program with a good grade. This program will help us to do well in the fall semester and they support us with many things such as tutoring, academic skills workshops. The reason that I applied for the EOF is to get to know the college that I will go to and at the end of the program if I passed I will get college credits and that’s one of the things that I am looking forward to. The EOF is designed strengthen my preparation for college level and academic success. EOF program stand for “Educational Opportunity Fund” and
The biggest reason convincing me to enroll at ECA is the quality of the education offered to students who decide to go through the program. Education is very important to me, and I am ready for a little bit of a challenge. I am very excited to try college classes, and there is no doubt in my mind that they will be a big challenge. However, I trust the ECA to get me ready, and I am glad to know there will be a counselor figure with me every step. For me, the high-quality education is the best part of the program.
Not only might this program ignite an interest in me pursuing an engineering field in the Army or Navy but would also give me a foundation to build off if I do decide to pursue a profession there. Once I graduate from college I plan to pursue a job that would allow me to gain experience while also giving me the opportunity to continue exploring my career path. After I gather some more experience from my job, I hope to open my own business, specializing in my chosen engineering discipline. The experience and knowledge that I can gain from this program will be valuable in every step of attaining my career
The purpose of EOF is more than just to provide funds. It helps students in ways that can not be written down on paper and gets on a personal level that no outsider can view. It teaches students to change out of their high school way and mind set and begin to transition into college life, this program makes the change less fearful. The lessons I have learned here in EOF I will carry on with me for the rest of my college experience and knowing what I know now I believe that I am ready for
The reason as to why I am applying for this summer program is because of the opportunity that it provides. Programs such as these gives the unique opportunity to explore multiple different career paths. But, not only does it provide a learning opportunity, it also allows a cultural one. Being able to travel and live in a foreign country at such a young age is one of the most memorable and amazing things that you can do. I believe that if accepted into this program, that I will do my very best to prove myself dedicated as a student because I want to spend my life learning and preparing myself for the real world as a careered woman. I have not yet solidified what I would like to be in the future, but as of this moment, I hope to possibly become
The program is both social and academic. I was too ambitious to productive during my last summer of high school. Thus, despite being financially struggle, I tried my best to use my savings to attend the program, with the help of tuition scholarships. In here, I built great connections with faculties and friends, whom I still stay in contact and who are helping me with my academic endeavor. Being an on child who was raised protectively in home and never allow to go on field trip, I thought this was a unique program that allows me to gain independence being far away from home and support myself. The program taught me how to get along with roommates and how to be friends with different people before my real college life started. In the beginning, I shed blood and tears, missing my parents so much. However, I knew that the most difficult obstacle to overcome is overcoming myself. New Start gave a new effect on my work ethic because of the experience I had with college students’ team work and with the conference that I presented. The transition to college became easier a few months
Being an immigrant in a country isn’t as compelling as many might think it is. After being oppressed by the cruel nature of greed hearted person consuming everything and everyone in its path. Many Mexican and other Latin American countries family are forced to leave their home. Due to a poor economy with lack of jobs or drugs and cartel, and thousands of people are fleeing their country in which their born to come to, the United Sate for a better day. Nevertheless, it is easier said than done, because entering United State is extremely long and tedious process which may take up to years and come here illegally has its toll on the long and dangerous journey. Therefore, today I wish to issue a proposal in which we bring back the Bracero Program

Studying in the Waterloo Engineering Co-op program would give me two years of work experience by the time I graduate. This will help me in landing a good job after completing my course. Also, I will be able to reduce the financial burden on my mother, a single parent by earning during my college years.
In the slam poem “Exes” Jessica Romoff and Mila Cuda speak to an issue inherent in many relationships: how can a committed devotion to love provoke such an enslaving and abusive relationship? Romoff and Cuda use extended metaphors, juxtaposition, and appealing to extremes to evoke an apprehensive atmosphere that shifts to an accusatory tone. At the beginning, the speakers use dialogue to create this apprehensive tone with the pleading conversation between the girl and her boyfriend. The speaker uses the line, “IF YOU BREAK UP WITH ME I'LL KILL MYSELF” to exemplify how the ‘boyfriend’ is appealing to the extremes. He uses the claim that he does not want his girlfriend to breakup with him, and creates a threat, which forces the girl to stay in
In order to achieve the desired results of program, which goal is to increase water intake and decrease the intake of beverages with added sugar, where high school students from the program Upward Bound ELLs will take part a budget of $271 will be necessary. In order to make activities where the students will be involved by giving their ideas or writing them down I will need a flip chart paper, which is $18 in amazon, and makers that can be found for $8 in amazon. In order to illustrate how much sugar they are consuming every time they drink one bottle of their favorite drinks, students are going to take part of an activity where they will fill bottles of their favorite beverages with sugar; the drinks will be selected by the students, but
Summery -The overall response from the survey was positive. Thrive continues to equip students for college in way that separates them from the rest. The EOF staff has worked all year to prepare for Thrive. We made it our purpose to understand the new generation coming in. In our meeting we know that in order for a student to be successful they need to understand how to communicate, work as a team, and be knowledgeable about how college functions. The value of thrive continues to shine in our students. Through this survey you can see the relentless pursuit to educate, equip, and empower our students was a success.
Falcon ECHS allows you to graduate from high school and earn an associates degree at the same time. I would work hard to achieve this goal. I would be ahead of many others my age. I would have a jump start to my future. I want to be an engineer and this would be a great start.
The PRP is an evidence based intervention, which incorporates a multidisciplinary team with the common goal of integrating treatment to symptomatic CRD patients (Nici, 2006). The PRP will emphasise ATS/ERS guidelines (Nici, 2006). The program will be hospital based. The initial assessment ensures patients complete the 8-week program. The schedule allows for three 1.5- 2 hour sessions. The sessions include 45 minutes of intensive muscle endurance training which incorporates muscle strengthening with cardio-exercises. The remainder of the session incorporates a combination of lectures and support needs such as nutrition, pharmacology, stress management, exercise safety strategies and smoking cessation. The post program
The reason I am interested in this program is because I want to have real experiences. I no longer want to look at life through a computer screen. I want to be the one researching and challenging myself in every possible way. I am a very open-minded and ambitious person. I am prepared to tackle any task that comes my way. I have little outdoor experience, but I want nothing more than to learn. Adventures are the best way of learning so this position was naturally appealing to me. This program will give me the opportunity to apply what I learned in class to the real world and allow me to escape the ordinary. I am a freshman in college with a massive desire for learning. I wish to leave my own trail and be the ripple in a wave that will produce
