It is very important for children to keep them safe and healthy throughout from all ages so early year learning framework is the only key to teach them how to maintain safety and healthy life because whatever children learn from early age remains lifetime with them. Here are the 5 main outcomes addressed in the EYLF which relates to the health and safety of children. These are explain as follow: 1. Children learn to interact in relation to others with more care empathy and respect. 2. Children become socially responsible and show respect for the environment 3. Children become strong in their social and emotional wellbeing 4. Children transfer and adapt what they have learned from one context to another. 5. Children express idea and make meaning
After comparing the advantages and disadvantages of all the curriculums that were presented during the poster presentation, I have decided to purchase the Second Step Early Learning curriculum developed by the organization Committee for Children. This curriculum teaches skills that improve students’ ability to understand their own and other’s emotions, show empathy, be able to self-regulate, solve problems, and decrease the frequency of their disruptive behavior, including both verbal and physical aggression. (Second Step Program Review of Research) There are two main reasons and a couple small advantages that make me decided to choose this curriculum:

It shows how important it is to have the pioneers input into the practice and teaching of children as its important they have the best start in life to help them develop.
There are several different organisations that provide Early Years education for children aged 0 – 5 years. Whilst some provide the entitlement from birth, some provision work in conjunction with others and entitlement starts from the age of 3 years.

It is essential that educators create safe, welcoming environments that promote learning for all students in a classroom and to do this they must acknowledge issues of diversity and difference and know how to approach these issues. There are two key documents that guide educators in their planning and implementation of curriculum; The Australian Curriculum and The Early Years Learning Framework. Using these two documents to create learning programs, educators must enact an inclusive curriculum that empowers all students, regardless of differences. For educators to understand and address issues of diversity and differences such as socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, language barriers and stereotypes around gender and sexuality, they must look at their own philosophy, values and beliefs around these issues.

The legal status of learning that we must follow is the EYFS (Early year’s foundation stage) and the ECM (every child matters). The local guidance is that we must do our own two year checks and also our own referrals where children may need extra support. To support the implementation of the national framework each country has also developed guidance, information about the statutory elements, and training materials. Common features of the early years framework depends on the nation as they may have a different approach to the care and education of young children but they do all have some common features. Such as
The statutory framework is split into 3 sections which are the introduction, the learning and development requirements and the welfare requirements. The introduction is an overview which explains the aims and legal requirements. The learning and development requirements is the early learning goals and are a statutory requirement for all Ofsted registered providers. The welfare requirements are universal and have to be met by all Ofsted registered settings. There are 4 main themes to the EYFS which are a unique child, positive relationships, enabling environments and learning and development. A unique child theme is there because every child is a unique child who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured. The positive relationships are there so children can learn to be strong and independent through these positive relationships. Enabling environments is a theme because Children learn and develop which gives them experiences which respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and carers. Throughout the years from the age of 3 years of age to five years, these may be seen as an exhilarating time for the children and their families. We aim to make the child’s time at the centre educational. The main thing Little Joeys is working towards in the year of 2016 are for them to become confident within themselves and develop their use of communication skills and have the readiness of being able to transition into school. The centres philosophy is coherent with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) which is used with the educators interacting with the children.
