Education and its Importance
Education is the destined formation in obtaining the development of the intellectual capacities of individuals. It can be defined as the process of socialization of individuals. Education is one of the most powerful resources to reduce inequality and poverty, it is a natural process associated with growth. On having been educated, a person assimilates and gains knowledge. Education also implies a cultural and behavioral raising awareness, where the new generations acquire the manners of being or the ways of life of previous generations. Malcolm Forbes once said, "The purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with an open one”. It is the common objective of educational systems in different countries to cultivate its citizens to become productive individuals of a society. Sharing the same purpose of providing the fullest conceivable development of every individual for living productively, creatively and ethically in a community. However, in my opinion, their methods may be varied, the United States of America and many other countries, such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and the Republic of the Philippines. To start, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the United States of America have similarities and differences in the education system. The Democratic Republic of Congo has two types of school as same as in the United States of America. Both
When students think of educational schooling, they think of grueling hours of sitting in a classroom and getting lectured about things they do not believe they will ever apply to the real life. Maybe it is just me. Not many students in the more richer and developed countries will ever realize how privileged they are. It is so easy to say that they do not like or want something even when it is presented to them. However, there are still places that are not given the opportunity to improve their lifestyles because they do not have an access to schooling. Access to education is a very important factor to bridge the gap between developed and underdeveloped countries. It is also the reason that humans have gotten this far in history. Without teaching
The similarities include administering a nationwide exam given to all the students. All students are equally evaluated based on these scores. The test is used to determine which university students are able to attend. There are also significant differences between these exams. In America the exams are called the SAT or the ACT. In China it is named Gaokao. The Gaokao test is taken very seriously. This test is taken for multiple-days. Parents rent hotel rooms nearby so their student can have a quiet lunch and take a nap. Some Chinese students go insane for this exam. They study for the Gaokao while hooked up to IV drips. The IV drips contain amino acids which would provide the students with extra energy (Kristof). This would definitely never be allowed in U.S. And lastly, merit pay is different in China than U.S. The Chinese believe in merit pay and in using student test scores for teacher evaluation. For example, when the 9th graders leave middle school they are tested to see which high school they are qualified to attend. Since the same teachers have had those students for three years, they compare their entry score to their exit score. The classes that showed the most academic gain resulted in that banzhuren receiving a bonus that might range from 3000 Yuan to 6000 Yuan (one month or two months pay). The same is true at the high school level. This is not the case in America. Teachers are evaluated through principals attending the classroom setting and/or

Education must give a student an ability to build their own view of the world and be able to see where they fit in with the society. If a person is given information and taught how to analyze it, the person will be able to perceive their surrounding through their own unique lenses. As James Baldwin stated “if I’m the child’s parent, it is my obligation and my high duty to civilize that child” (Baldwin, pg. 197). Civilization is the ability to have a highly developed culture and understanding of society. For a human to achieve those qualities he/she must have a will and opportunities to make choices of their own and to gain a unique personality. Moreover, the person must not only develop individually, but also collectively. As a citizen of a society, the person must fit in and contribute to the surrounding community, it is the obligation of every member “to examine society and try to change it” (Baldwin, pg. 198). Furthermore, for a person to grow with the society yet stay true to oneself, the person must be well educated and understand how everything in the society works. The knowledge shouldn’t be limited to only natural science or human geography; instead it should encompass all aspects of world structure. However, a person must also be capable of deciding for themselves, by using previously obtained knowledge, to prevent their choices being forced on them by society. “As mechanics say, when one has learned the use of tools, it is easy to work at a new craft” (Emerson,
Growing up in rural Ohio with educators for parents, the importance of education was a value instilled in me from the beginning. Both my parents and my teachers stressed the importance of continuously learning and challenging one’s truths, beliefs, and ideals. My intentions are to continue learning, challenging my beliefs and ideals, engaging research, conducting my own research, and contributing to the field and society in an attempt to influence social change.
Schools should focus on teaching students skills they need and instead of focusing on giving information with the sole intent of passing tests.
In today’s society we have grown up where education has become an important role in many of our lives.Everyone talks about the importance of getting an education and how being well educated opens the door for many opportunities. For as long as I can remember I have always been told by my friends and family to take advantage of the education I get to not take it for granted as many wish they would have the opportunity to go to school. Both my parents grew up in guatemala where they completed some of their high school education they came to the United States in the early 90’s. They first arrived in the United States not knowing any english and up to this date they aren’t fluent in the language but are now able to understand some of the basics and speak very little.

Ask yourself this question: why did we choose to go to school? Many says education is a good way for achieving your dreams and becoming successful. Some educators say that acquiring an education is a good plan to earn more money. Most says we go to school to learn new things and to have good morals. In his article, Mr. Manali Oak talk about why education is so important, "Education provides us with knowledge about the world. It paves the way for a good career. It helps build character. He has said that education is an investment in human capital, and it can have a great impact on a nation's growth and development."
Education is extremely important and very basic, it’s so important that there is a likely chance of not being able to live a life in a successful and happy way without it. If a person without disabilities can’t do the basic math, calculation, or problem solving, then life for that person isn’t very successful, that person won’t know how to pay tax, buy food, and do daily routines. But on the other hand, the opinions that education gives can lead to massive improvements in life. For instance, independence skills. Independence is also a great booster to your self-esteem and personal success.” The quote above states, “Independence is also a great booster to your
College drop outs have been glorified by society. The likes of Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, and Mark Zuckerberg are highly patronized for their success. They are known for being successful people and they were able to achieve their success even if they did not get good grades in school, nor did they finish going to school. It can be said that they were not academic achievers. Nonetheless, the legacy of their success continues to prevail. They have reached the kind of success that everyone aspires to have. Often, their stories are used to encourage and convince people that doing well in school is no longer important to be successful.
People always say “Mothers are the greatest characters in the world.” I agree because girls' education is an important part of successful families and successful societies, and educating girls means educating a generation. They have learned the knowledge that they can inherit as their mothers. In the real life, I have seen something like this happened before, “A Mother that she doesn't have any education. She doesn’t know what she can teach her children. Now her children become a ganger. She wants to They will listen to the old people said. They don’t even know it’s that right or wrong. This is why it’s important that women need to have the education. They need to teach their children what they have learned. If they don’t learn anything how can they teach their children? But women are not just born to being a mother, they can have their own career too. Like Women are important to have the education because it can decrease child marriage, Increased Literacy, and decrease cervical cancer.
Education is an important part of US society and all its issues should be recognized and addressed. Unfortunately this is not the case. Education has many issues and the three most important are the day-one problem, bullying, and high dropout rates. These issues are often a big problem and can lead to an education that does not do the United States justice.
Education is something every person should strive to obtain. It sets a higher standard for yourself, and gives yourself a much more respectable outlook from others. The opportunity to expand your knowledge and skillsets in a set direction to reach a set goal is not something everyone has the chance to do. With that said, taking advantage of receiving an education is a crucial opportunity that should not be missed. Consistently pushing yourself to learn more opens the prospect of gaining knowledge in all sorts of important aspects of life, which is incredibly important in today’s world. Although not everyone values education the same, education leads to independence, financial stability, as well as a better quality of life.

Education is the tool that change one's world, according to human rights education is a universal right that every individual must have and use. Unlike individuals with an adequate education and therefore with opportunity to enter in a professional field with the sufficient amount of knowledge to be successful at their jobs, Individuals from countries in
