If I could be any person for one day, I would be in the Eighty Second Army Airborne during D-Day in WWII. I want to be an Army Ranger in WWII because, D-Day was one of the most historic battles ever fought. Also, I want to see it through the soldier’s eyes, being one thousand feet above the ground looking down as flak lights up the night sky and bullet tracers pierce through the clouds. To me, the Eighty Second Airborne was one of the most elite Infantry groups ever created. They have fought in many wars and battles since the elite group was created. To be in a plane jumping into the night sky with the cold European wind hitting you in the face and the deafening sound of the planes flying overhead would be an experience that I will never forget.
In Fred Tomaseli's, Airborne Event there is a multitude of formal elements and principles of design utilized. Shape is used in this artwork with a complexity of shapes. Hexagons coagulating into many hexagons. The shapes are mostly but not all geometric. Line is incorporated into Airborne Event. While the lines are utilized and created by the lips, flowers, and insects each depicting directional lines and patterns. In an aspect of the artist using color, color is developed as the artist implies a polychromatic palette. There's a principle of repetition, however, as patterns of the shapes and colors, repeat themselves. Airborne Event renders various hues, shapes, and lines allowing it a smooth rhythm, in cooperation. While it has variety due to the coagulation of all the divergent characteristics: a variety of colors, shapes, and patterns help create an eclectic design.
Have you heard about that band Twenty One Pilots? No? Well it is your lucky day because my goal is to prove to you that their music is phenomenal. Twenty One Pilots is a band made up of two members; Tyler Joseph, who is the lead singer and Joshua Dun, who is the drummer. They began in 2009 and have gained quite a fan base since then (Fred Thomas). Their unique sound and relatable music are the reasons why I believe they are the best band to ever exist.
“Even when I doubt you, I’m no good without you.” Without the band, Twenty One Pilots, I’d be in a much darker, quieter place that I am today. Twenty One Pilots is a two-man band that originated from Ohio, and has been slowly gaining more and more followers especially as of late. They also happen to be one of my all-time favorite bands. Their music consists of such depth, it is some of the greatest poetry I’ve ever heard, and it’s so relatable because they have dealt with and experienced everything that they discuss in their songs. The topics included in their music are issues such as anxiety, depression, and loneliness, but also the gradual journey toward recovery and reaching happiness- even if those negative things still exist inside.

Why should we keep the B-2 Bomber as a government asset? There are many reasons when it comes to mind but have you ever thought what would we do without them. Today, we live in a world where war is not occurring but it could happen at any moment. The U.S. is being attacked sporadically and the only way to stop that is to have ammunition. About forty years ago, there was meant to be more than 21 bombers. Why did that number change? The reason for the decrease in numbers of bombers was mainly due to the Soviet Union dissolving in the early 1990s. The U.S. had big plans with the bombers. Today, the government is still putting money towards this fascinating aircraft.
The Challenger Space Shuttle launched on January 28, 1986, but sadly never reached the atmosphere of space. (History.com) The Challenger’s sections disassembled 73 seconds after liftoff. Enhancement of policys and redesigning the current way of work has always been a process of high visibility when it comes to the successful execution of Coast Guard operations. The last couple of years have been quite eventful for me. Moving across the world from Dubai to Vancouver to pursue my education was a terrifying and daunting task. However taking this plunge into the unknown, and experiencing a new culture and way of life have led me to some of the most exciting experiences of my life. One of these came after I was accepted to one of UBC’s most competitive design teams, UBC rocket.
“The rules are simple! You are supposed to live on this island for ten weeks. If you cannot find food or water after the first 12 hours, you are given an air drop, and you lose ten points. Every 24 hours, we give an air drop. This has a military ration, and three bottles of water, as well as the pair of clothing of your choice. The cameras do not show you when you are using these items, so quickly eat, and quickly shower for more airtime, if you wish. Remember, keep it simple, keep it clean. You are televised, and live online once a week. Be prepared. Be safe. Survive.” The rules were indeed simple, and April was not as nervous as she was before. She looked at Sara, and she looked back.
High-Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE) is an illness that could possibly occur after exposure to high altitudes over 2000 meters. This illness appears after exposure to Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) and advances into either HAPE or HACE. This occurs because of weak adjustment with the growing altitudes common with climbing mountains. They “are the immediate result of too much, too fast and a general negligence to the body's subtle or in the end, not so subtle warnings.” (ExplorersWeb, “Medical Problems”) With this illness, excess fluid progresses in the individual’s lungs causing issues in the body’s regulation system. As a result, the body can not push enough oxygen to the brain causing a variety of problems.
In terms of reusable rocket landings, Blue Origin has shown some impressive stability. Recently, their reusable New Shepard rocket was launched into space for the third time, followed by a safe, upright landing. Founder Jeff Bezos described the operation on Twitter as "flawless". If Bezos seeks to compete with Elon Musk and SpaceX, that flawless pattern will surely have to continue.
