End of Semester Essay
You might be wondering am I, Ernie Alvarado on the path of success? Yes I am. So far I've completed about 155 credits. What i've done well so far is my mathematical, history, and science skills. The areas of which I need improvement on is my english skills. The aspects of high school in which I find difficult is self-confidence and managing my time to get all my work done. Time management and effort are ways to improve on my areas of weakness. First, one of many things I did well last semester was keeping my grades looking amazing. I was committed, I was inventive. Another thing I did well was putting effort in my class like for example: math, english, history, and chemistry. I always payed attention. I was motivated. Participating in discussions was one of the better things I did last semester like giving presentations. Respecting others and

My attendance show how responsible I am. It's difficult getting to schools at times because most of the time I don't always have transportation. Another reason is because I get sick, I don't go to school. Also my homework, which is another problem. Most of the time I do my homework but then I slack off something triggers that makes that happen. One more thing that I don't do well is my self-confidence. I feel as if I lack self confidence, I self-doubt myself I loose my motivation. Third, I can improve on what I didn't do so well like attendance. I can get on a local city bus to get to school, that's the best choice. My homework is another thing I can improve on, like finishing on time and turning it in the day it's due. On self- confidence there's many ways I can improve from. I can use many methods like meditation, the practice or action of meditating. I can even use law of attraction, focus on the things you want more in your life-spend more time thinking about what you wish to attract into your life than what you don't
I cant believe that I am finally a senior in high school it seems just like yesterday I was beginning high school. As I begin my final year I am beginning to realize that this year I will be faced with many responsibilities and will make tons of memories. But I hope that I am able to make my senior year the best yet. Through this final year I hope to have passing grades in all of my classes, to win pep rallies, and to have perfect attendance.
Some of the goals this year is to get good grades on most of the subjects. What I will do to accomplish that is I will listen in class and study for more than one day. Something I’ve done right I want to continue doing is to read a lot of books and writing excellent essays. I also want to do better in Social Studies. I will do this by studying history facts every week.
Your senior year was a wild, crazy mess. You started off the year not wanting to go to school to see Karson because you couldn’t handle it. You even left school some days when he would show up. You let your dumb self try again with Karson and it failed. You got hurt, and even cried.... A lot. You meet the love of your life, Kyle, and still talk to him even though you guys aren’t together right now. You both hope to reconnect after you finish your second year of college. Keep talking to him, don’t let him get away from you. You have had it tough this year, but by the end of the year you didn’t let anything affect you. Your grades were A’s and B’s all year. You made some amazing new friends like, Chandler, Clayton Ecker, Collin and more boys
Coming from being a junior in high school to now being a senior. Senior in high school is going to be one of the most favorite and scariest parts of my life. Everyone says that it is one of the biggest part of your life. They say senior year will be one of my favorite memories. My expectations for high school amounts to worrying about deadlines for my high school projects, everyone asking about where I will be attending college, and trying to figure out what I am going to do with the rest of my life.
Sophomore year had ended, and my summer had just begun. After a long wait to gain permission to go on a backpacking trip. My father gave me the approval. I took my love for the outdoors and began to explore it even more.
Even though some people have a belief that teens should “mature”, or graduate high school before they are able to legally drive without adult supervision, I strongly disagree on account of the following reasons.
If someone ask me what is my favorite memories in high school for now. I’ll says that is my sophomore year. Because sophomore year is the year that changed my mind and my life, the year that I meet my awesome friend and everyone look at me a different way and here is what happened to my sophomore year.
I have notice that you're not as motivated on schoolwork as you need to be. Which is something I’m willing on helping you achieve it. Having a Fixed Mindset can affect you in many ways. Therefore, I’m seeing that is affecting you in school. You think that you are not smart enough and/or can not do certain things. Let me tell you that you are wrong. In order to success you first fail. It may sound ridiculous but believe it is true. Not everybody is successful at their first try. Not everybody is born smart. Many people fails so many times that they lose hope but that is the point of failing because you get to push yourself farther to reach your goal and learn from mistakes. That is the number one step in Growth Mindset not giving up. Asking for help is also a big step in everything. Hence, do not believe that abilities can not be improved.
My senior year is coming to an end, high school is pretty much over. With the finish line quickly approaching, I reflect on all the things I’ve done in these past four years and, more importantly, all the things I did not do in the past four years that I probably should have. In retrospect, I never did feel like high school was going to be where the best time of my life would be remembered, but now that it’s pretty much over I think maybe I should have treated it like it was. I would love to be able to say there is nothing I didn’t do that I wanted to and that I didn’t have any regrets, but there is a fair share of both. When I think too much about the end, I get sentimental about the experiences, friends, laughs, awkward moments, and more.
That makes it hard to breathe. That summer, the instructors and the upperclassmen put the cadets through physical tests that test their problem solving and leadership skills. His first ride in a military jet was during his freshman year. He flew in a Lockheed T-33 (109-115). The summer before his sophomore year, he went through survival training. It was called SERE training, which stood for “survival, evasion, resistance, and escape.” It was designed to teach them skills if they were captured, how to not be captured, and just basic survival skills. By sophomore year, Sully realized how all of the skills he had learned helped him mature. His sophomore year, Sully got an outstanding amount of flying experience and instruction. He signed up to
I have learned a lot about my personal qualities, such as my strengths and weaknesses, and my work habits and attitudes. One of the first things that I had to learn at High school, which consisted of my freshman and sophomore years, was responsibility. I realized that after middle school, my teachers only had so much accountability for my grades and even actions. Whether or not I turned in my homework or received a good grade in the overall class all depended upon me. My teachers were no longer held responsible for whether or not I understood the lessons or even showed up for their class. I learned to take initiative if I did not understand something and I consistently talked with my teachers about a plan that would help me to succeed in their class. Fortunately, my working habits were never a problem for me. I was always very disciplined and completed all of my homework, class work, and projects on time. Yet, when it came to working with others, problems arose. I had to learn how to be humble myself and become receptive to the ideas and opinions of those around me. I could no longer continue to talk over others and disregard their thoughts. In order to work in a group successfully, I realized that I had to be patient, flexible, and respectful. Obtaining a positive self-esteem and self-worth was always a challenge for me. It was hard for me to confront difficult challenges with the mindset of “I can do it,” because all that I could see was whatever was right in front of me. When I grasped the meaning of faith and being certain of what I could not see or understand, I had so much more confidence and security in myself and in my future.
actions, and I need to own up to what I have to do to be successful. I started taking school more
This year in Student Government has been a great time. All of our hard work and commitment has definitely reflected in our success and outcomes of our events. I have learned so much in such a short time. Since I have more experience now from Freshman year, I am eager for what is to come my Sophomore year. In order for this next year to be as rewarding as this past one, there are a few things I think we should do to make the transition of a new teacher as smooth as possible. I think if we adjust the commissioner jobs, are open to new ideas brought by our new teacher, and have specific goals set at our summer meeting, we will have no problem staying on track next year.
I am a senior in high school in small town North Carolina. I am 17 years old, and I am motivated, self-reliant, and resolute. I have worked hard my entire life to exceed the expectations of my teachers, parents, and peers. Until this point, I thought I had succeeded. Apparently, I did not do well enough…
When second semester comes, being an easy-go-lucky student is not allowed anymore. Simply because I already learned from my past semester its effect and I really dont like it. Right now, Im going to focus and do my best to pass all the requirements on time. As much as possible, I will manage my time better than before to be more effective. Second semester is another level so I need to study harder and make the most out of it.
