What’s really going on?
For the past few many people have wonder, or become more aware of our planet’s changes and the way it has been affecting us all along. Some people take this very serious, but others are not taking the warnings that our Earth, our home, has given us. There has been a lot of research over the past couple of decades to determine the effect of the many unusual patterns of some natural “disasters”. There has been a lot of confusion based on the results of the many scientists that have tried to work out this ongoing process. This confusion is due to the different data results of each investigation. Some scientist have predicted that the worst is coming just around the corner. That it is a fact that catastrophes will

This is all tied up on how it affects us. It’s a long lasting relationship between man and the Earth. If something affects the Earth, then it will have an effect on us, and the same will happen if it occurs to us first. However, climate shifts can be recorded in some parts of the globe, not all at once like Robert B. Gagosian, President and Director of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, said: Climate shifts do not necessarily have universal, global effects. They can generate a counterintuitive scenario: Even as the earth as a whole continues to warm gradually, large regions may experience a precipitous and disruptive shift into colder climates.(Gagosian)
In other words, even if people can not detect one, there might be a climate change going on without being perceived. One perfect example of this kind of shifts is during the time that dentists love the most, Halloween. This is a personal experience that I am sure many other people have noticed too. When I used to trick-or-treat when I was a lot younger which was about 10 years ago, I remember that on top of my costume I would have to carry a sweater that my mother would force me to wear because it was really cold, and I could get extremely sick. A few years after, my mother did not remind me to wear the sweater because she did not have to. The weather had really changed over the years. Those nights were still hot like any ordinary summer’s day, and I
1. Explain how the environment is prepared, maintained and cleaned to ensure it is ready for the healthcare activity
Environmental scanning can be viewed as a way of acquiring information about outside events that can aid organizations in first identifying potential trends, then interpreting them
This article discusses how catastrophic storms were very extreme this year, in line with climate change predictions. It mentions an article from Lancet Magazine that states" the volume of rain and flooding occurring over the past few weeks is "unprecedented and difficult to comprehend". Hurricane Harvey was Huston’s third 500-year flood in the last three years. Even though this is happening the odds of a hurricane hitting the east coast are still the same as 100 years ago. There is still disagreement in their scientific community whether or not global warming has contributed directly to these recent catastrophic weather events. It’s really impossible to say, but one thing is for sure, “the planet will be fine no matter what we human do". Theirs
I appreciate how much the environment is emphasized in the first video because it really showcases how the mechanism of natural selection works. It’s not just a spontaneous event in which organisms strive to change their bodies and abilities so that they can live in a certain environment; rather, it is the pressure of a changing environment that forces the hand of evolution to begin via natural selection. That is to say, organisms and new species arise as a result of a change in environment, rather than just because they can.
In the words of the great Herclitus “the only constant is change,” this is true regarding anything in life, including climate change. From our own experience, temperatures have been increasing year by year and snowfall has slightly diminished as the year’s progress. The portrayal of global warming by the media and the government has been over-exaggerated due to a lack of concrete evidence to back up their claims. Our planet shows evidence of climate change beginning approximately 4.6 billion years ago, when the earth was first formed. The Earth hasn’t been experiencing a constant rise in global warming, but an unpredictable change of warming and cooling periods. The media’s depiction of global warming does not exist, rather a pattern of unpredictable
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, Climate change is referred to as, “A significant change in the climate that lasts for extended periods over time.” These changes include; an increase or decrease in Earths temperatures or an alter in wind patterns. These changes may occur over several decades and in some cases even century’s. (EPA)
The climate plays a huge part in our environmental system that even a minor change can have impacts that are large and complex. An article on council on foreign relation notes, climate change has been an ongoing issue since 30 years ago when scientist first alerted the public around the world to the to the danger of it. The same article explains that American Meteorological Society estimates "there is a 90 percent probability that global temperatures will rise by 3.5 degrees Celsius to 7.4 degrees Celsius in less than one
Climate change is not a new phenomenon. It has been a common occurrence throughout our planets history. According to noa.gov there has been at least seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat that occurred in the past 650,000 years with the abrupt end of the last ice age about 7,000 years ago marking the beginning of the modern climate era and of human civilization. These early patterns of extended climate change were most likely the result of “very small variations in Earth’s orbit that change the amount of solar energy our planet receives.” (noaa.org). While these orbital variances can account for a portion of our changing climate the majority of the blame for our climates current state falls on our shoulders. According to the latest ICCP report, the current warming trend is of particular significance because most of it is very likely human-induced and proceeding at a rate that is unprecedented in the past 1,300 years. It is the consensus of the scientific community that the daily activities of the Human population have significant influence over the acceleration of climate change. Rising temperature trends, rapid acceleration of co2 levels and the increase of extreme weather events offer unequivocal Proof of just how significant our influence can be.
Firstly, a large number of environments are changing for the worst. These changes are happening in our own country. The southern animals are coming up north to Canada and competing against our native animals. This is directly caused by global warming which is allowing the warmer climate animals take over the once cold climate. Furthermore, the many plants are blooming as far as a month earlier due to climate change. For example, Purple loosestrife is blooming 24 days earlier which poses an extreme threat to wetland habitants, especially the ones having a hard time adapting. Longer
Environmental problems are something which belongs to nature or known as “Mother Earth” [13]. Nature was created to help people survive from gathering foods until build a house. This phenomenon happens continuously without thinking how much damage that nature has because human’s fault. Nature gradually becomes worse and animal’s life in danger. People who are aware of the importance of nature react. Those people do several ways to save the environment. Although these efforts can return back the environment, these efforts only can be hold temporarily. This problem happens because those people who are aware of the environment only slightly; for remaining, there are people either do not know or do not care about the nature. People’s efforts
According to Mintzberg, the environmental school of thought is a strategy dealing with the forces outside the organization. Unlike the other schools in his book, Strategy Safari, the environment plays a central role in the strategy formation process alongside leadership and the organization where the organization becomes subordinate to the external environment. The environmental school assumptions are that during the formative period of the organization the company shapes itself in response to the environment, but after that period is increasingly unable to respond to the environment. Moreover, the organization long term survival depends on the early choices made during its formative period. Over time, Mintzberg states, leadership becomes
Changes in the Land analyzes the changes in ecosystem that was created by the introduction of Europeans into England. It shows the shift of life from Natives to Europeans and many of the changing circumstances. More than the environment being affected, the author goes into detail about how the lives of the Natives and Europeans heavily differed. The European contact drastically altered the land and ecosystem in the environment once settlers were introduced into the picture.
An environment is everything that makes up our surrounding, this can be living or non-living things, for example; the air we breathe, the sea, the plants and animals etc.
A news report that was released by NPS shows that almost 9 million people visited Utah’s Nation Parks in 2013, (standard net.) making Utah almost $597 million and supported over 9,000 jobs across the state of Utah (NPS). Locally the people of Utah are outraged, thousands of locals across Utah made the drive to the Salt Lake City Capitol Building to protest Trumps actions. I had the opportunity to interview a few adults currently living in Utah and all showed complete outrage towards our president. Only one of the five people interviewed showed commitment towards the new movement. Which really opened my eyes to the fact that there is large economic growth that
In the United States, we consume more energy from oil than from any other energy source. In 2014 the total amount of petroleum consumed in the United States was about 19 million barrels per day. As we look into making the world a more eco friendly environment, I ask the question; what are some alternatives of oil and the effects of the alternative.
