The play Equus is centered on a teen named Alan, who is troubled and a doctor, Dysart, who has the task of deciphering why the troubled teen stabbed many horses eyes out. Eventually, the doctor meets Alan’s parents and observes them and their behaviors. Dysart concludes that Dora, the mother, is a Christian and Frank, the father, is an Atheist. Christianity and Atheism are completely different “religions”. Dysart presumes that the reason for Alan’s insanity may stem from the differences of his parents, and later finds out more about Dora and Franks differing beliefs. Christianity is centered on the belief that there is one God and that God created the Earth in six days and rested on the seventh. They also follow the Ten Commandments that say
Jesus: Unlike other monotheistic faiths, Christianity focuses a lot on the life of Jesus in the New Testament of the Bible. Christians also believe that they must go through something called Baptism which is a sacrament that is believed to “wash away” your Original Sin, or the sin all people are born with.
How are they different? Let's start with Christianity. Christians follow Christ and believe in the resurrection of Jesus. They believe
By contrast, Christianity is traditionally understood to be founded by Jesus of Nazareth. Christians view God as Lord and Savior over all and accept the Bible as his faultless word.
The Christian religion finds its foundation on the Word of God and the work of Jesus Christ. Christianity finds its beginnings with Jesus Christ about 2,000 years ago. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came down to earth to teach, heal, and die for the sins of humanity. When God created man, he openly rebelled against God, causing a rift in their relationship. Since humans cannot save themselves, a perfect and completely innocent sacrifice was necessary in order to purify and restore mankind. Christianity is all about Jesus’ death and resurrection, as well as denying oneself and following Christ.
Going in depth with Christianity, The Christians believed in believing in one and only one god. They hated the romans and their views because they were pagans and had many gods to look up to. The Christians believe in justification by faith with that through their belief in Jesus as the Son of God. With his death and
Christianity believes in one god that is represented trough the trinity: Father, son, and holy spirit The trinity is sometimes confusing to non-christens who think the trinity represents three gods. Christianity grew out of Judaism, Jew's who accepted Jesus as the messiah were considered to be Christians. My Professor Steven Rossi said "The Jews were a strong influence on early Christan church" ,and he is correct, Jewish tradition and bible were used until the new testament was created. Christians are expected to follow the 10 commandments from the old testament also they are expected to follow Jesus's teachings called the two great commandments. The two great commandments display the main focus of many Christians which is love god and love your neighbor following these laws allows christens to reach heaven. (Molly 343-347)
Christianity is a monotheistic (believing in one God) religion, which is based on the “teachings of Jesus.” Deemed the son of God, Jesus walked around town helping those in need and preaching the words of his father, served as a role model, exemplifying to others how to live life selflessly. His life was short lived, “at the age 33, he was crucified on the cross.” Christians believe that God sacrificed his only son for the forgiveness of their own sins, which they give thanks for throughout the year at Christmas, Lent, and Easter. One of the most prominent figures in the Christian church is the cross. The most important book in Christianity is the Bible, which they consider sacred and holy. It is a doctrine that holds all Jesus’s teachings, which have been broken up into 2 parts: “old testament and new testament.” In the Bible, individuals will find a set of guidelines (10

Christianity is one of the biggest and widespread religion in the world. There are different types of christians just like there are different type of Muslims. Jews, Muslims and Christians all believe in One God therefore, they are known as monotheistic. There are three different major divisions with christianity for instance, Protestantism, Eastern Orthodoxy and Catholicism. These three groups have separate institutional organization. Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy are the only ones which are organized hierarchically. These three different religions are so apart from each other even though they come from the same religion. The religion Christianity is grounded through the wisdom and miracles of Jesus Christ. Many may call him Jesus or Christ but in actuality Jesus is Christ which means anointed one. Jesus Christ was no average person, he is the God the Father who came to this world and fulfilled the Old Testament laws and prophecies, died on the cross, and rose from the dead physically. As savior that came on earth to restore his people he performed many miracles which were recorded in the Gospels by the eyewitnesses. Jesus Christ is the divine in nature as well as human. Thus, he has two natures and is worthy of worship and prayer. Christianity teaches that there is only one God in all existence. Although philosophies have tried to prove otherwise the reality is that God made the universe, the Earth, and created man starting with Adam and Eve. According to Genesis 1:27 it states that “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them”. Image means the likeness of God 's character, rationality, etc. Since we are made in the image of God, every person has an opportunity to be more like him less like sinful ways of the world.
Christianity was founded in the early first century. It is centered around the belief of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the largest religion in the world with around 2 billion followers. Christianity is a monotheistic religion. This means that Christians believe in only one
Christianity is one of the major religions of the world. It is a global religion in which majority of the countries of the world partake in. Christians believe in God as the Supreme Being and the creator of the world. They also believe in his Son Jesus Christ and refer to him as the Messiah and the Savior of the World and the Messiah as they believe He died to save their sins. What makes Christianity different from other religions of the world is that it has more followers than other religions, it is more widely distributed around the world, and it is better documented with the start of the bible most especially (Hinnells 2005, p. 441). Hinnells also stated that one in every seven person in North America as well as Africa is a Christian,
