P1: “Zoe come on! We need to hurry!” ,Emma said. “Yeah Zoe!!! You’re already ruining this routine and we HAVEN’T even started!!!!!!” ,screamed Lauren. Freshman year is already like IMPOSSIBLE, and that’s without having to deal with Lauren! She’s so mean, and she thinks she’s like AMAZING at everything. BUT SHE’S NOT….. “Zoe!!!”, Lauren shouted, “I said LET’S GO. Are you like deaf?” “Um, no Lauren, I’m not deaf. But if you keep screaming at me, I just might have to get back to you on that.” I said as politely as physically possible. “Excuse me?” “Guys stop… It’s okay!” Emma said, just trying to help. GOSH! Some days I just can’t stand Lauren. I try my best, but today, I can’t take it anymore. “You know what? No. It’s not …show more content…
I mean it when I say I believe in HER, but what I’m really scared of, is letting her down because I know she is a better dancer than me. P3: “Hey Zoe,”, Lauren said with a smirk on her face, “Did you miss me?” “N-...”, I started to say no but before I could even finish, Lauren rudely interrupted. “Um are you stupid? I don’t care if you did or not. I just came to your locker to tell you, I already have a whole solo choreographed. And just to let you know, I WILL beat you in the show. Go ahead and pass the message along to emma too! Toodles!” Oh. My. Goodness. IS SHE TRYING TO DRIVE ME INSANE? Emma and I have our last scheduled rehearsal on the stage tonight, and the talent show is tomorrow. We have absolutely nothing. We have to win… P4: “Hey Z! Ready to go to the stage and get this done?”, Emma asked happily, right as the bell rang. “Hey Em! Sure, I’m ready if you are!”, I said doing my best job to hide how nervous I was. Once we got to the stage, we were so busy I could barely even think, but we ended up creating a really good routine! I know, I’m as shocked as you are! Surprisingly, I think we might be ready for tomorrow! All that was left to do was get some rest! P5: We got to the school at about 7:30 to help set up the stage for the show. Lauren was there too, but she avoided us and we avoided her. At about 8:45, students and parents started to flood the gym and fill up all of the seats. Wow was I nervous! There
We were all set! I had been waiting for months, counting down the days. I was finally going to see her, the one and only Beyoncé Knowles! On the way there, lots of emotions and thought’s went through my mind being that this was my first concert. I had no clue what to expect!
“Yes is good, I think I am ready for the speech. I am so excited. I
She didn't miss a beat. “Come on, I'm going to take you to the loading doc. We can discuss it along the way.”
Soon enough, 7:00 pm came. We were all scurrying to get all of our stuff in order before we went on stage. First we had to introduce ourselves. I had to walk on stage and say, “Riley Hall, Wayland!” in the most enthusiastic way I possibly could. Then, we had to get ready for swimsuit/active wear. We had about 2 minutes to be changed and ready. I had owned that stage. I bounced around in my hot pink Vans and you would’ve thought that I was actually at the
Yay.I just won tickets,to america's got talent.America's got talent is a show where people come on and show off their skills.I won these tickets by doing trivia. When I got the tickets,I discussed with my parents.I expected to see a stage, the judges booth, the curtain, and people doing cool stuff on stage. We prepare by packing, and we're staying in a motel while we are there.I take my friend Alexis, then I called Alexis.
(Gasping) What if Jackson laughs at how weird I sound?! I...I can’t do it, I can’t! Kalyn said, “No one is going to laugh at you because your voice is Amazing! Besides I’m on the school paper so if anyone laughs or says anything bad about you, I’ll write about their dark secrets in my column.’’ Time passed and the talent show was quickly approaching. Two more days were left before the talent show, and Zoey told her mom about the talent show. Her mom looked happy for her, but looking at Zoey’s face she knew that she was worried. “What’s wrong?” asked Zoey’s mom. Kalyn knows about how afraid I am of singing in front of people, but she still put my name on the sign-up sheet she explained. I’m afraid of what will happen on the day of the talent show,’’ said Zoey (sadly). Listen to me my sweet girl I’m going to tell you about a secret to help you overcome this fear, said Zoey's mom. Don’t let your fear take over what you can
Parker was now trying to help me put on my headset while I was putting my hair up in a ponytail. Once done, Parker lightly patted my back, giving me the signal that I'm ready to go. I then made my way down to the pit through a secured entrance.
After another all day rehearsal that left me feeling frustrated once again, I had had enough! During one of our ten minute breaks, one of the gals in the cast was actually in tears in the ladies room. Three of us tried to reassure and support her. "Trust me, you are not the only one feeling this way. We all understand." I said. However, I know this is little comfort when all you want to do is COMPREHEND what the dang choreography is supposed to be!
“No” My own voice said strangely, but it didn’t sound like me for some reason.
Within the first few moments of stepping out onto a shining stage, Hannah knew that dancing was going to be her thing. “I love being in a team setting, but not in a competitive sense. I’m really not a competitive person, but I love working with other people … I think I realised dancing and cheering and just dancing in general was one of my favorite things was in 2nd grade going out there, and seeing everyone was there to support you. I think it’s so great.”
Before we go out and perform, Stephanie gathers us together and says “Girls, you’ve all worked so hard to get here and I know you are going to do great no matter what! Be confident, look at the judges and count on each other.” Then we all smile at each other and laugh nervously.
My friend Kylie and I woke up at 4:45am to get ready. We showered, put on makeup and got our outfits ready. My outfit was made a week prior to the show.
When we pull in, my mom and I hop out and get everything out of the car. As we walk up to the building we see some of my team waiting for me at the front door! I greet them and hug them even though we saw each other the night before. They take me and my mom into the dressing room where we set up everything. I get my costume on and start to stretch with my duet partner Annalee. Our teacher then calls up out of the dressing room to start waiting backstage.
We just got off the bus and did yet another headcount, which I thought was weird considering no one can just get off the bus whenever they wanted, but that was beside the point. We walked in the school, warmed up in some extra practice room with a television that showed who was performing until they called us all in. We sat in the gigantic auditorium way in the back and watched the schools before us. There were two schools
“Uhhh, nothing you must have misheard me.” I staggered. Way to go Emily you almost blew your secret I thought.
