America is a nation of immigrants. America would not be successful without the generations of immigrants. The generations of immigrants have helped America tremendously. The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has estimated that 11.4 million illegal immigrants lived in the United States in January 2012. According to DHS, "The number of illegal immigrants peaked around 12 million in 2007 and has gradually declined to closer to 11 million." Immigrants ventured to America through different ways like crossing the border or swimming. Many Americans do not realize how immigrants help the economy. Immigrants come to America to have a better life. Illegal immigrants have to leave everything behind to have a better future. Immigrants shouldn’t be deported because there are many ways they have helped make America be stronger. Immigrants are most likely to start a business which creates jobs for people. Americans do not know how immigrants can improve the knowledge of diverse cultures. Thanks to immigrants, Americans are able to increase its language capacity. It also teaches Americans to be respectful of different customs. Americans have a better idea of immigrants culture and ideas. For example, in Rohit Kumar’s article, he gave some ways how immigrants culture inspire America. Rohit explained in his article, “Immigrant farmers are showing us how to grow organic.” This means that immigrants use their culture and their ideas to show Americans how immigrants do certain concepts.
