Working as a Case Coordinator for a Medicaid Waiver provider something to get use to is the ever-changing policies, procedures, and work load. A large environmental factor at play with this field is politics. Our Medicaid system is under attack right now and individuals that truly need the services are at risk for losing them. For months our company’s stakeholders, employees, consumers, families, have all been emailing our state representatives to vote against a healthcare bill that could strip individuals with disabilities much needed services. Services span anywhere from expensive medical supplies, durable medical supplies, nursing and therapy services, to waiver services that provides home health aids and community support. As a mom of a child with special needs, and a consumer of our company I value this model. As a consumer of Medicaid services our consumers are told all the time that they have a choice of who their provider is. This is a policy of Medicaid in and of it itself, and an important one at that; therefore, it is important to know as a company, that our consumers can change providers at any given moment. This level of competition should keep all Medicaid providers on their toes to provide the best possible care possible to their consumers. So even though my company has a unique model, other companies are starting to incorporate aspects of our model, and if we don’t provide the best care possible we will no doubt lose our consumers to a competitive company. In a field that is service related this is something to be stay on top of in every aspect possible. Technological force is important to my every day job as well. Most would assume that technological forces are about electronics; however, Hellriegel, Jason, and Slocum (2008) define technological force as “a transformation process that changes organizational inputs into outputs. This technology is the knowledge, tools, techniques, and actions used to transform ideas, information, and materials into finished goods and services”
“I got up and pretended to study the pictures on the walls like I was a lover of religious art. When I got to the Merciful Mother right above Sinita’s head, I reached in my pocket and pulled out the bottom I’d found on the train. It was sparkly like a diamond and had a little hole in back so you could thread a ribbon through it and wear it like a romantic lady’s choker necklace. It wasn’t something I’d do, but I could see the button would make a good trade with someone inclined in that direction.
To tackle the housing affordability, first of all, it is crucial to lift the supply of housing as it will release the pressure on the housing price. Nevertheless, the supply of housing is inelastic as it requires an adequate fund, time, approval from the Government. Besides, the housing system is heavily dependent on the private sector. Thus, the Government should provide initiatives for housing providers to shift the supply of houses in the market. Australia would follow the policies from other countries to tackle the housing affordability. However, it has to fit in the Australian context. These policies might work well in other places but it does not mean that it will be applicable in Australia. The Singapore Government has a public
The arguments I choose to assess for truth and validity will be three statements taken from the Application's list 12.2 (a -y) at the end of Ch. 12, “The Art of Thinking” publication. I will start with the statement (j) the premise that "power must be evil because it can corrupt people." Checking the argument for any hidden premises and ensuring it is stated fully and in a clear concise way is the first step. This argument seems to pass the first hurdle, however after checking for errors affecting truth, the argument has flaws. Beginning with, the part of the argument that says power corrupts people is not true
I have witnessed traumatizing events, dying men, being shot, and I went behind enemy lines 11 separate times, all for my beloved country, yet I’m branded AWOL and equated to a coward! I served the Union Army valiantly and gave it my all for 4 entire years. My hard work and dedication were immense, I took on various jobs throughout the four years. Furthermore, I served as a nurse to aid all the wounded, I was a skilled courier and a spy. I love my country for giving me refuge when times were tough, thus, I was willing to give the ultimate sacrifice to preserve it. Countless times, I was nearly killed, but I did not care because I yearned for danger and a way to contribute during the war. I, Franklin Thompson, believe I should be reinstated
Tutankhamun (Tutankhamen) was born in Egypt in 1341 B.C. In 1323 B.C. Tutankhamun died of an unknown death; he was only 17 or 18 years old. Before he died he got to live a short time as a ruler. After his body was exhumed, there have been signs that Tutankhamus could have been murdered, or died from an infection from an injury. “Historians generally agree that he was the twelfth ruler of the 18th Egyptian Dynasty, who assumed the throne when he was eight or nine years old. Before puberty he was married to his half-sister (or, possibly, niece) Ankhesenamen, daughter of Queen Nefertiti. He reigned until his death in his late teens. Some studies of his remains suggest that he was
The fifth field exercise, oriented around archaeology, allowed us to discover the field in the surrounding neightborhood. We were given block number 1, surrounded by Englewood Avenue, Snelling Avenue, Minnehaha Avenue, and Asbury Street. In our block, we noticed ten different buildings, the first being a Super America on the corner of Englewood and Snelling. In the gas station we noticed there were four cars and eight pumps, with only one of the cars filling up on gas. In the gas station we found eight pennies in the mulch by the sidewalk. We also found a crushed coffee cup and lid, along with some bottle caps. Continuing down the street, there was garbage and cigarette butts everywhere. We noticed there were a lot more cigarette butts
This is why the University of Houston is a great fit for my future career. I am interested in this clinical psychology program over others because of the specific emphasis in neuropsychology, including classes that relate specifically to neuropsychology, research opportunities that focus on neurodevelopment and neuropsychology, and a clinical practica. I am excited about the University of Houston’s connections with diverse and exceptional site placements, including many opportunities in pediatric settings that other clinical psychology programs do not have in abundance. Along with a very close fit for the field that I am pursuing, the University of Houston faculty’s research interests also fit closely to research that I am interested in
V2 grimaced as he folded his arms across his chest. A local carnival had arrived in town and was stationed in the open lot across from Toshizou's manor. For the most part, V2 hated crowds of people, they drove him mad, not to mention the odor their bodies gave off when V2 was close enough to smell the blood that ran through their very veins.
This assignment was about the earlier reading that we had done this last week talking about the girl that had been treated very wrong and being given out for marriage at a very young age. This is also the same article that talks about the girls going through medical processes which involved them getting their genitals cut and mutilated at a very young age which is very wrong and was talked about in that article very briefly. This article goes into more depth of how the group was able to make all these things happen and how they are able to save these girls now. It talks about how the girl Ester who was at the begging of the last text and how she was a big role in getting laws and regulations past so that girls and young children have more
We, as humans, have come a long way in terms of tools. We started out using rocks, sticks, and simple things found in nature. Now we use heavy, complex machinery and synthetic plastics to generate and design anything we could possibly think of. In an effort to understand the ways of earlier humans differently, I was tasked with researching and creating a tool using the methods from prehistory. In this ethnography, I will be describing the tool that I made, explaining modern tools in today’s society, and speculating how I would fair in prehistoric times.
One night it was pouring rain like cats and dog were falling out of the sky and there was a boy named, Will Brooks making his way to, Spokane, Washington, with only his tattered suitcase,a charcoal black coat, and a halfway charged Iphone X.
On the morning of the fourth day, while every nation was still piling and burning millions of dead Christians, plans were being drawn by the larger nations to aid underdeveloped countries. Smaller countries who had no reserves to rely on needed world support to maintain a meager existence. What farm animals that survived were no longer to roam freely in the pastures. They were penned and guarded like gold bullion. Every breeding technique was used to replenish the food supply. Severe punishment was given to anyone caught killing an animal that could be bred.
I) Today is a big day for me. I have a presentation at my office for a bond with a company from China that wants to invest in my start up. They seem pretty impressed with my idea of ‘Smartly Engineered Interior Décor’. I have prepared for it the whole month with my team. As I wake up, my smart wrist band tells me I had a sound seven hour sleep, gives me details about my heart beats per minute, body temperature and the amount of workout needed. The refrigerator tells me the nutrients present in the salad I am going to have for breakfast. I read a news of a retailer being arrested for using plastic bags for sale. The laws now are strict regarding their usage. My nephew is taking his missed lessons from school on his tablet. I wish we had
