Good evening Rochelle, Thank you for your help on my discussion. When I read your thesis statement it sounds like your goal is to complete your degree. I also sense that learning the material in this class seems to be a vital piece to completing the entire degree. Is that where you are going with this paper? Finishing strong is important. What does the Bible say about finishing the race? (2nd Timothy 4:7 ) You are here for a reason and God will help. Your outline leads me to see we are all here to complete this thing! As for advise: I re-watched the YouTube video on making an outline and I plan to watch it more tomorrow when I tackle my final draft. As I listen to
This passage is situated at the beginning of Jesus’ Galilean ministry. Jesus has returned from Nazareth after several days in the wilderness where the power of the Holy Spirit assisted him in fighting the temptations of the devil. In this story, Jesus goes to the synagogue on the Sabbath and is now said to be reading from the Torah as was customary. This means that Jesus regularly does this which shows that he is a devout Jew. It was important for him to rest on the Sabbath and go to the synagogue for scripture and teaching on this day. Luke has followed this account with miracle and healing stories depicting Jesus as a compassionate saviour and prophet. Luke arranges the passages in this way in order to ‘write an orderly account’ (1:3) of
Proficient 21.25 (8.5%) points: Your thesis should be more defined. You have vague language that leaves the reader wondering that you mean. Since I have not read the same material as you, I am not sure what conclusions you have come to. Think about precise language that will guide your reader through your work.
1) How could you use what you have learned so far in this course in a secondary school setting (middle and high school)? Be sure to include both content and pedagogical knowledge in your discussion. What generic levels of skill proficiency or stages of learning (use whichever you prefer) can you expect students to attain at each of the school levels (elementary, middle, and high school)?
For your final paper, you must convince me that you learned in this class. How? Keep reading….
Thank you for the feedback, Professor Bond. My goal is to maintain my A average since I am graduating in May and although it's difficult to hear, I appreciate the constructive criticism. On an unrelated note, I did not purchase the Brief Wadsworth textbook since it is solely required for the final assignment and it costs $150. Are there resources that could be used in its place?
Ideally, you should follow these four suggestions to create an effective outline. The examples are taken from the Sample Outline handout.
Use the checklist to guide you through the process. Consider these strategies for meeting the objectives to bring your ideas, knowledge, and structures together and create a rough draft.
Though I do believe that I can gather the proper details in preparation of an assignment, my hope is to both expand my knowledge and experience in research and compilation of information into smooth, concise segments. The ability in being able to bring about a point to the reader or listener can help in the many other classes and their assignments involving the process of purposeful analysis in a topic to the application of conveying the thoughts to text. Along with the conventional skill of preparing text, the knowledge of properly identifying sections of possible misinterpretation would allow for the betterment in allowing the intended meaning of my words to show through. As the course description would suggest, an emphasize on the critical analysis of topics is a key point in the class. Expanding that part of my capabilities would be beneficial to both the depth in which I discern meaning from works of others and how in a few words I might be able to procure a thought-provoking message that has a meaning to each their
God’s love is presented throughout the Bible and each chapter provides a reflection of how the Lord was speaking through that author. The book of Ephesians expresses this concept by the author articulating God’s love through letters to the church for the Ephesian people. The second prayer in the book of Ephesians is recorded in chapter 3, which is written for the church but also extends to the broader audience. This exegetical paper will focus on verses 14-21 of chapter 3 where Paul provides instructions about the reverence to the Father in Heaven. According to God’s purpose, we will inherent the strength, power, and the fullness of God when we allow Christ to dwell in our hearts. This information applies to all people of all times, places,
Patricia tells the whack-a mole story, often we are fighting the wrong enemy, with our natural abilities. , we find ourselves wasiting time and energy fighting people and circumstances. She reminds us, that our enemies are not flesh and blood, but the real corporate is the principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places. None of these attacks are accidental, it's the enemy stirring things up in the heavenly realm (Eph 6:12).
Hillel is "remembered not for his inspired exegesis but for his rationalistic exegetical techniques," (Brewer 219). These rational exegetical techniques have been codified into the Seven Rules of Hillel, which many claim predate Hillel himself ("The Seven Rules of Hillel"). Regardless of when, how, and with whom the Seven Rules of rabbinical exegesis emerged, it is clear that Paul relied on these rules when conveying the teachings of Jesus Christ to the Jews. As Cohn-Sherbok points out, Paul's use of rabbinical interpretation and exegesis was deliberate and methodical. It has also been suggested that Paul used the Seven Rules of Hillel himself. There may be some historical basis for this presumption: "Paul was certainly taught these rules in the School of Hillel by Hillel's own grandson Gamliel. When we examine Paul's writings we will see that they are filled with usages of Hillel's Seven Rules," ("The Seven Rules of Hillel"). Therefore, it is natural to read Pauline texts with a rabbinical eye, and equally natural to apply the Seven Rules of Hillel when performing exegesis on books like Romans.
My determination and drive of succeeding has really set me apart from other people throughout the years. For example, It was my first cross country meet as a middle schooler the heat was unbearable. It was so hot outside you could probably cook an egg on the sidewalk, you could barely feel any breeze of air. Everyone was expecting me to not do so well since it was my first meet and I had never done this type of thing before. But I was so determined to medal and people kept asking me on the day of the meet, “Do you think you’ll medal for this?” and I continued telling people, “YES I’m going to medal!!.” When I was running that race I just thought to myself “Be Strong” and that’s what was keeping me strong, my family and friends that were cheering me on was another big thing that was keeping me sane throughout the whole race. I medaled ninth in my race and that was a very big accomplishment for myself. I was very proud of myself considering I’d never done this type of thing before. Being determined really helped me throughout this whole race and without having that drive of wanting to succeed I wouldn’t have been able to have done this. I believe that by having a positive attitude and striving to be the best, you can accomplish anything that
Each week we will have an online discussion of the material assigned – text chapters, videos, audios, articles, etc. ‐‐by your instructor. These discussions are for the purpose of exploring the assignments, the ideas presented, your
I would like to begin my Essay explaining all that I learned from this course. The first thing I learned was my Learning Patterns and how to use them not only in my course through school but my everyday life. Learning how my brain-mind connection work’s best for me. In this course, I was able to learn how I was already using my Learning Patterns before I even knew what they were and how valuable they are to myself and my future goals. I learned where I may use one pattern more than the other, or where and when to use patterns I wasn’t aware of.
