Everyone has something special that they cherish, whether it came from a loved one or a loving memory. Something that I treasure the most is a picture of me and my friends in an eighth grade event taken in a photo booth. I would say that this object would be in the class of a souvenir. It came into my possession during the winter ball from the man who ran the photo booth. Under the circumstances of an eighth grade activity/trip.

My special artifact in not an expensive vase passed down from generation nor a blanket from birth. It is a yellow jumbo pencil, although it may seem unimportant and common t pencil hold a sentimental value. I came across a beautiful notebook and a huge pencil and fast forward to the future my mother bought it for me and i brought to school the next day. The artifact was developed and implemented for a fourth-grade language arts and reading class with seven students, four girls, and three boys, between the ages of nine and ten. Identify an artifact that embodies or refers to ethical values, and write a sentence stating what the ethical connection is. Over the course of my analysis I learned a great deal about this artifact using each method individually. However, I believe the biggest impact of this analysis comes from looking at the findings of the two types of criticism combined.
Merriam-Webster defines the word artifact as something created by human usually for a practical purpose: an object remaining from a particular period. In my family, there aren’t a lot of artifacts, but we do have a special artifact that means a lot to my mom’s side of the family. Similar to the way Brazilians celebrate Brazilian Carnival, in New Orleans, we celebrate Mardi Gras. Celebrating Mardi Gras is my family tradition. But my mom and I haven’t been in years due to school complications and other commitments. Every year when my mom and I miss Mardi Gras we go to the basement and find different Mardi Gras beads, and where them all day.
Choosing an artifact for the box was an easy decision. I chose to put a picture of my dog, Chocolate, because he is very important to me. He is a two year old Schnoodle (half Schnauzer half Poodle) who we rescued from the animal shelter. It will be exciting to look back at what he looked like as a puppy. The artifact portrays me well since I love my dog and he is a big part of my life. It shares
My artifact is brown and black with almost 2 decades’ worth of memories; this object is my stuffed Rottweiler named Max. This artifact, although motionless with four legs, has walked to the moon and back with me as a child full of imagination. This artifact stores the most precious memories and has been with me at every step in my life. Max is very meaningful to me because we have shared many memories, from birth until now. My stuffed animal has been with me through every ups and downs in life, every change that has ever occurred to me, has been a part my past and present; and represents my future.
Albert Einstein once said, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” This quote describes the responsibilities and standards of teaching children. I believe that teachers should be held to high standards for being the foundation of a student’s education and well-being. For my future students, my responsibilities as a future educator include supplementing the growth of a variety of students’ knowledge and creativity, abiding as a role model for students and colleagues, and understanding the issues in the foundations of education.
When I was young, an English class wasn’t necessarily called English. In my elementary years, English was split in two: Reading and Writing. Throughout those years Reading classes is mostly reading, and Writing is mostly writing. Then a new chapter of my life started, the day I found out about literacy, it leans more towards reading than writing. Literacy is just, old or new stories, poems, folk tales, and letters. My two artifacts are from English 10. The thesis is the main part of an essay; it sums up the whole essay in one sentence. Both of my artifacts has to do something about thesis statement.
This accumulation of different objects, is an altar honoring Anita Marchini, my grandma. She is an optimistic and joyful person, always ready to make other people laugh. She taught me to always be cheerful and to always be brave. Like Sandra Cisnero, this altar is dedicated to a very loving and strong women in my life. In the back of the altar is a red dress that I wore for my first Christmas, it reminds me of her because she bought it and has been in love with it ever since. Then on the right, is a tribal statue from Africa, which signifies how much she loves to travel and all the knowledge she has gained from seeing the world. On the bottom left and right corner there is some plants, signifying her love for gardening and nature all together.
In recent years, I have been questioned by various people on what I am most grateful for. As uncomplicated as that question may sound it truly is not that simple to answer. We all at one point in time are asked this and an innumerable quantity of people do not contemplate the question thoroughly. I, personally am grateful for numerous of objects and belongings but what I am most grateful for took a considerable amount of thinking. For example, my truck which has transported me to several destinations and became the highlight of my birthday last year reminds me just how thankful I am to acquire a vehicle. As I introspected
I’m not sure if my fandom is considered a fandom, furthermore I’m not sure if my artifact is a real artifact let alone an artifact for my fandom. I have chosen to bring in a picture of my grandparents after a long debate between cd’s, movies, artwork, books and etc. Being that my grandparents are partially responsible for my fandom today only made sense that I presented there love. I’m a enormous fan for true love, my grandparents represent true love in my eyes. We all will have opinions on love along with the different meanings of happiness, nonetheless my grandparents have been together for 50plus years and it wasn’t always happy times. They had a great deal of hurt throughout their journey but it's always been loyalty and to me love without
