Getting older you begin to develop several personality traits that you can benefit from. These personality traits are usually a gift that somehow come in handy throughout your life, even if it’s bad you can always manage to bring a good deed from it. The way I see it a personality trait is what makes you who you are good or bad this is what makes you remarkable from everyone else, and who knows if the traits that you develop help you out in the future with your career plan. Now, the traits that I progress was responsibility, communication skills, and the constant idea of being kind to others. To begin with, one of my most valuable personality traits that I have is being responsible. Whether it’s school related or not I enjoy having …show more content…
With the regards that, I don’t expect anything back from people, and everything I do just comes from the kindness of my heart. I can remember the time my dad told me to always be nice to others, regardless of what I’m going through, because no one cares what you’re going through and it shouldn’t be the reason why you should take your anger out on people. That may sound harsh, but it’s the truth and I do live by those words every single day that goes by. Also, I always liked the idea to keep your personal life separated from your work, because in the future the situation you are in won’t matter. Now to return to the subject, I’m proud that I was able to develop a trait that not only makes me happy but others too, and with that being said you’ll be surprised how many people are willingly want to help you out just because you’re kind. As a final point, whether the personality the traits that you developed are good or bad always try to look at the bright side, because these traits some kind of award. For example, being nice to people can go one way or the other and that’s because some people actually do appreciate it and others don’t. However, regardless of how things go im grateful that I got to progress these personality traits, and most of them were thought from my
Granted that we finish our project though sweat and tears we never gave up. Uniquely that’s where my openness to experience comes in. However having many different personality traits my minds wonders what’s next for me. My eagerness to learn new concepts is what drives me to become great. Truly my changes in behavior might not be normal, But all the big five personality traits plays a key role in my life. Given these points my brain is fully conscious and aware of what’s going on. Just going to work every day on time shows my agreeableness trait. It makes me fully aware of the decisions I make throughout life. Also expecting good outcomes for my peers plus myself comes from the trait extraversion. Sometimes I can be a bit shy, angry and fully of anxiety, But I believe that’s just part of life. Just having the ability to maintain different characteristic says a lot about the person I am. In the long run my changes in behavior change all the
I interviewed three people and how they view me as an individual, I wasn’t too surprise with the responses I received because I can see why they would think that way about me. Some positive things that were said about me are that I’m very responsible, dependable and hardworking. I, myself had also thought I was hardworking; I like to achieve all my goals and get everything done. I’m reliable because everyone knows if they ask me to do something and I’m able to do it, it will get done. That’s sort of where my perfectionist kicks in, where everything has to be done right and in order. A few negative things that my family thought was being hardheaded, impatient and having a bad attitude. I admit that I’m hardheaded because I don’t listen to what people tell me even if they know for a fact it’s a bad decision. I like to make my own mistakes and learn from them because if you don’t learn from your mistakes you’re going to keep making them. I also agree that I’m intolerant because I have no patience to wait for anything. I get easily frustrated when something
A person’s personality is his or her essence. It is what guides decisions, emotions, and even thoughts. Some may wonder if it is possible to explore every nuance of such a complex part of a being, but there are ways to determine what type of personality a person has, and then branch off into a more detailed examination of that person specifically. Combined with other factors, such as personality disorders and the environment that someone has grown up in, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, or MBTI, test (Enrichment 1) and analysis can determine an accurate portrayal of a personality. Created in 1943 by Katherine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers, it is a system made up of four basic functions and sub functions that combine to make a personality type. The mother and daughter team constructed it off of Jung’s theories (History 2). Based on this system, one of the most common personality types in the US population is called an ESTJ, and one of the least common personality types is called an INFJ. There are many differences and similarities between these two types. An ESTJ personality, overall, is practical, fact-based, and outgoing, whereas an INFJ personality is more private and makes decisions based on feelings; however, both are organized people who make good leaders and are capable of great success in roles that involve helping others.
I feel too attached to this case study of George in a sense that I am a very introverted. I enjoy my time alone and basically prefer it any day over being with others. The most interesting thing is that in the theories I used to explain the case study I saw myself in most of the facts. An example is movement away from others.
To commence, being responsible in school is beneficial in various ways. For example, when you’re in middle school, your records begin to have universities and colleges looking at your every success and failure. Turning in every assignment, studying for tests and acing them, managing to keep a high average throughout your middle and high school years
When living in my day to day life and I am hit with an obstacle I remain positive and that helps me to be able to solve the problems I have without letting them overwhelm me. In a similar manner my positivity shines through helping with the woo factor, with an approachable attitude. My positivity also helps me to have a good outlook for the future, even if things aren’t going the way I want them to in that moment or seem hard I am able to look to the future for a better day. The top characteristic I got was adaptability which is the only one I can say did not surprise me. Throughout my life I have been put in many new situations that have forced me to adapt to a new environment. Though adaptability did not come as a shock to me I would say it is my positivity that drives me and accurately embodies
The personality traits that a person exhibits can be a potential cause of bullying. One of the personality trait that we will be focusing on is Narcissism which is the tendency to be arrogant, have a grandiose sense of self-importance, requires excessive admiration, and have a sense of entitlement. It is said that serial bullies often display behaviour congruent with a number of the diagnostic criteria for Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Narcissistic personality disorder can also affect 1% of the population (World, 2013).
I have chosen candidate Donald Trump to assess his personality traits. The moment candidate Donald Trump continually cut senator Hillary Clinton off and his tone of voice was very informative for me to determine his personality. Trump negated everything Clinton said and went as far as to not let her get a word in during her time. While I understand this is a debate, it shed light onto his personality.
In my youth, my mother told me that my personality was extremely trusting and warm. I suppose you could say that I was the perfect example of a sunny personality. She said I would even make strangers smile and my respectful nature was always a huge bonus winning over even the crankiest individual. That of course all ended when I endured the cruelty of public school’s relentless bullies, life’s hardships, molestations, and financial difficulties. My personality hardened, I became withdrawn, less trusting, bitter, and unapproachable. I could not stand to be around a lot of people, share my things, or tolerate strangers touching me.
Personality is a good trait to have rather it is for work or everyday life, being outgoing and friendly is how you make friends and really how a lot of positive things happen to you. If you are working with a team it is important
The path to understanding our own personality types is important, but understanding other people’s types can also be informative. Different personality has different trait and state. Lot of think tang like Morgan and other present their point of view “Credulous and skeptical” theory that reflects that personality and performance, success are directly related. It is really hard and for from away that the personality and performance are correlated with each other. Although personality traits and states can help predict sport behavior and success.
Some of my characteristics shape the way people view me. An example of this is how happy I am all the time. It has gotten to the point where if I am not smiling my friends think something is wrong. I feel that I am always happy due to the fact that I like to have a positive outlook on life. If something bad happens I just try my best to roll with it and improve from there. Basically, I try not to cry over spilt milk; I see no point in it. I feel that it will make people feel free to be themselves around me. I find it important that people are comfortable around me. This is due in part to the fact that when people are more comfortable, they tend to be happier. I enjoy making people laugh and helping them enjoy the moment wherever we are. The main trait of my personality is how much I like to have fun. I like to think it makes people view me as easy-going. Whenever i find another person who is energetic and friendly, it is great because i need someone fun to stay interested and engaged. My short-attention span is my biggest downfall. It causes me to drift when anyone is talking. It once was so bad that I was talking and got side-tracked as I was talking. The fact that my attention span is so short sometimes
The proactive personality construct was introduced by Bateman and Crant (1993) who defined it as “a relatively stable tendency to effect environmental change” (p. 107). Since that time proactive personality has emerged as a heuristic construct in organizational settings, showing significant relationships with such variables as job performance, career success, and leadership quality (e.g., Crant & Bateman, 2000; Crant, 1995; Seibert et al., 1999; Thompson, 2005).
No person has similar action when it comes to same situation. Each individual react to the same situation in different way and come out with different answer. The reason is each person does not has the same pattern of enduring, distinctive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that mould the way a person adapts to surrounding (King, 2009). Personality is a sub-topic in Psychology which is useful in different field, for instance social science, human resource, clinical and others field. Sigmund Freud (1917) is one of the most influential thinkers and psychologist of the twentieth century in the field of Psychology. He found that the unconscious is the source of motivation and one’s active mind is a way to hide thoughts and desires from awareness (Gabriel, 2011). In general, the Psychoanalytic model of personality can be divided into three structures: Id, Ego and Superego (refer to Figure 1 in Appendix 1).
My personality has significantly changed over time from the time I was a teenager till now that I’m an adult. Age has significantly contributed to how I view things, how I react to issues, and how I interact with other people. Some of the factors that have contributed to changes in my personality include entering into committed relationships and advancement in my careers. I have developed increase in positive traits like conscientiousness and a decrease in traits that are considered negative, such as neuroticism. Compared to the time I was a teenager, I have significantly become more responsible, more agreeable, and more emotionally stable. I remember I used to fight a lot when I was a teenager but as I grow into adulthood, I have learnt how to handle issues and control myself as well. In essence, my personality has significantly improved. When I was a teenager, I used to be irresponsible, unsociable, and shy. However, I have since become friendly, responsible, and outgoing. This has made me live a happier life compared to the life I was living before. Living a happy life has improved my personality in the sense that it has made me become more conscientious, more emotionally stable, and more agreeable. My pattern of feeling, thinking, and behaving has since become consistent over time and in different situations.
