Family? Other responsibilities?
What I will do when I feel overwhelmed I take time for myself, meditate and read my bible? Being a Christian woman I take pleasure in praying and reading my bible and it gives me a peace of mind, body and soul. Turn on my Tasha Cobb music and meditate. I will quote Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. READINESS: How have I prepared to begin my online degree?
I have prepared myself for online classes by first researching Ashford University. I have a great Enrollment Service Advisor Krysta, who is very helpful. I realize with online classes I need to be organized, dedicated, and determined to achieve my college degree. I have prepared my family by making a new daily schedule. They are my biggest supporters and they are helping more than ever with the household chores. I have thankfully received Financial Aid to help me pay for my classes. I have made
What motivated me to enroll at GCU and pursue a degree in higher education is to live my dreams and to also to let my grandfather live to see his wish comes to pass. My grandfather is my biggest motivation growing up with my grandparents from I was nine months old until I migrated to the united states for college give me a great inspiration about education, my grandmother always uses to teach me how to read adult books, when I was just a third grader. She would normally say if I can not read the adults book I must read all the sign words I know and pronouns the big words in syllables. My grandmother plays the mother figure in my life during that time frame, I become a great reader and use to be the honor student in school, two years after my grandmother was admitted to a hospital to do a
I have had a lifetime goal to attend college, it just didn’t happen early in life. When I first came to CCU, there was no doubt that getting my bachelors in early childhood would be my major. My passion has always been young children. It started when I babysat as a young teenager and has continued in my life as a preschool teacher. Education is constantly changing: therefore, I feel I need to have more knowledge and wisdom to be the best teacher possible. Education is by far one of the most important tools to have a successful life. With diligence, I want to be a leading educator and to be a gateway for my students to learn. It’s exhilarating how many lives a teacher will touch each day. A teacher has the power to reach out and make learning a positive and memorable experience for every child. Furthermore, teachers are one of the first caregivers for young children. Although I am not at the beginning of my career, while at CCU, I will grow in faith, help and learn from others, and strive to graduate with honors.
Personally I would say there was a number of people who motivated me to attend college. But mainly I had a great foundation at home. Although my parents did not graduate from college yet, it was expected of me to
Firstly, I look at the career that I wish to have in the future, and see the possible pathways to get there. Fortunately many university's in the GTA offer the program that educated you for that career. Knowing this I am motivated to apply to university. I am looking to do biomedical engineering in university, and after completing this 5 year program, I become able to apply to medical school. It is these facts I believe is the reason my parents are also motivating me to go to university. All in all, personal factors and family pressure play a role in my choice to go to
Attending college has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. It has opened up many doors and options in my life. Not only am I the first in my family to graduate high school, but I am also the first to go to college. My parents come from third world countries and traveled all the way to the United States so that my younger brother and I could have a better chance at life. My biggest motivator is my family; they are the reason why I work so hard.
Coming to college has shown me information and knowledge I never thought I was capable of learning and it will be knowledge I will use for the rest of my life. I came to college last year for my own personal growth and to expand my horizons. I thought about what I wanted to do after high school and continuing my education was number one on my list. I’m here simply to better my future, expand my knowledge, increase my potential, and learn more about myself. I want to make my family and myself proud by completing college and getting a degree. Bettering my future and making sure I have the information to be able to do my future career is my top priority because it’s the only thing I have continually been working for since the 9th grade. Expanding my knowledge in these courses that will soon get me to the school I need to be at is a compelling reason for me to stay motivated enough to wake up in the morning and push myself to come to school. I hope to increase my potential and develop into
Throughout my first month of college, I have learned from many individuals what their purpose is. This made me rethink the reasons why I came to college, and by doing that I came to the conclusion that there is multiple reasons I went to college. My purpose is to not only earn a degree, but to discover who I am, learn about different types of people, learn how the real world works, to mature into a capable adult, and to meet new people. College not only teaches material one is going to need for a
"Education is the key to success" my father always said. This is a motivational quote that will always stick with me because of the impact it has made in my life. Even before my school days I watched my parents whip my siblings into shape to push them to succeed beyond expectations. My siblings worked exceptionally hard in school which paid off when they received awards and recognition. This pushed me to follow in their footsteps and lead me to do well in school and to have a driven mindset. Being a very humble person, I always had friends of different upbringings and futures. Good companions of mine who went to school and did well tend to be better off financially and emotionally. Seeing others progress always and still does makes me want to do well in every educational aspect I am in. I insist on seeing all the work I have put in and will continue to put in pay off. When I use this drive of education to complete college I wish to find the job of my
I have always been my own motivator and it has not always been easy. Being a first-generation college student meant going it on my own, making mistakes and learning from them. At the start of my college adventure I met Professor Michelle Field who introduced me to more than my love of Anthropology, but looking back she is now my inspiration to want to teach Anthropology. This was not something I knew coming into college, but some of the greatest things in life come together when you least expect them, you just have to be flexible. Moving to Bellingham to finish my undergraduate degree came at the most difficult time in my life only days after losing a parent, but Western Washington University became my new home and offered the fresh start I needed and the opportunity to continue to develop as a student that I so deeply craved.
Applying and figuring out to how to pay for college was something I did with no help because my parents never went to college but my motivation and drive pushed me to make my dreams come to true and I am currently a student at Rutgers University - New Brunswick Campus. My motivation to succeed at study is my immigrant parents who left everything they knew to give me the future they knew they would never have.As the oldest of six my motivation is my family and their struggles. I motivate myself to do the very best I can to ensure that I give myself and parents a better life, a life they could have never imagined. My parents came from Palestine, a third world country and they currently i na first world country still so poor they cannot afford
I motivated myself to attend Trident Technical College. Ever since I lost my mother I felt helpless and wanted to give up but I didn’t because I know she wanted the best for me. To me college is an important place that can lead you to a bright and successful future. People who want to be someone in life tend to move on and attend college and I am one of those persons wanting to move on and have a good future. My motivation to keep going and go to college has always been my own expectations of being able to reach success doing what I want to do in life. Going to college can open doors for me in the future that can lead me in to better things in life.
Then you need to prioritize in order of importance, what absolutely needs to be done and what can hold for a day or two. Whenever you’re done with a task, make sure to cross out whatever it is that you have completed, otherwise you may have forgotten that you already did that and may do it again. The key to all of this is just to keep calm and don’t overwork yourself, or you might get stressed out. When the end of the day comes, evaluate on all that you accomplished for the day. Then get to work on making tomorrows
It was instilled in me at a very early age how important it is to receive a college degree. My mother who never finished her degree wanted more for me and made sure that I took advance classes in High School so that I could be prepared for college. Coming from single parent house hold my Mother has made lots of sacrifices and continues to do so to ensure I can continue my education. I have just completed my first semester and staring my second and the money that I received for Warren and Betty Burnside scholarship has help out
My primary goal is to receive my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from The Ohio State University. The Ohio State University has proved itself to excel in its college for Education. Ever since my childhood, I have always enjoyed learning. Whether that was learning to read, sing, or paint, I would listen intently to the instruction. My teachers largely influenced my life. They cared about how well I learned, what my interests were, and who I was ultimately going to become. As I matured and grew, I realized that my love for learning and listening could transfer into a love for teaching. When I reach my goal of becoming a teacher, I understand that I will be an adult influence in their lives as my earlier teachers were for me. I strive to teach children about an excellent education an important element in their lives and help them grow in their love for learning. I aspire to grow in my knowledge of education itself and how to help these students reach their absolute, full potential.
Above all, my personal goals are to learn as much as I can and make my family and myself proud of what I’ve accomplished. I’ve realized that college is a great opportunity to further my education and I want to take advantage of that by taking in as much knowledge as possible. The reason for this goal is to know that I did the very best I could when I graduate college. Not only will that make me proud but it will make my family proud too. Staying motivated, focused, and determined is going to be the key to
