As I observed the class of the experienced practitioner(EP), I noticed that she stated clear objectives, emphasized and worked to meet those specific objectives throughout the plan. She ensured that the lesson was supported with appropriate resources to cater to the needs, interests and abilities of all learners. The EP included meaningful activities that are contextually relevant and engaging. I could see the enthusiasm rising in the students when they were asked to solve real life situations that are interesting to them. I paid attention to the management strategies of the EP. When she began a new activity, she would quiet all the students and introduced what they had to do. She stated the rules clearly and maintained a good eye contact with
After observing my mother in at the emergency room where she works, I finally understand the difficulty of being a doctor. Doctors constantly having to take care of anyone who walks through the door on a stretcher. Doctors have to try their best to feel empathetic towards everyone, putting themselves in other people’s shoes and trying to understand their situation. Whether they are good or bad, it doesn’t matter, the main goal is to stabilize the patients and make sure they receive the help they need. For example, last night walked in a psychopath who had killed 3 people, who also stabbed himself in attempt at suicide. By some miraculous move by God he didn’t die, only required immediate medical attention. As I watched my mother operate
In the society, people interact and express their behaviors differently. Sometimes the personality of a person can be identified by different factors such as body language or facial expression. This field work observation report will give more details about individuals’ behavior. There were 10 people being observed from this field work. The first case was a woman who was on the conversation on the phone while sitting. It was 6:20 AM on Monday, Nov 7 in the ticket office of Lansdale train station. I was sitting in front of her. The woman looked around constantly during the conversation. In addition, whenever the door open, she always looked who is walking in. Sometimes she took a short breath, fondled her hair, and lifted her toes. The second
Carina: I observed a small group of four girls around the ages of 16-19 who were all getting burritos at Chipotle. They were still wearing their volleyball outfits and clearly belonged to a group of teenage athletes. They all seemed to be friends as they were laughing and talking loudly with one another. Their visit at Chipotle seemed to be some kind of social experience for them, much more so than just going there for nutrition. When ordering they asked each other: “what are you getting”, which showed that they valued each other’s food recommendation. The girl who asked her friend that question decided to order the same food as her friend. This shows the interdependence and great influence within the group.

After Andrew's nine months check up, the doctor's observation was that Andrew is shy when facing a new situation and his completely withdrawn especially when the mother is not around. With his parents near Andrew become more confident and will try to investigate more, but still is very cautious of strange things. According to the doctor, Andrew reactions are appropriate for his age. Andrew's motor skills and fine motor skills are advanced for his age which is a good thing.
Roller skating rinks and bowling alleys are two places that people visit for recreational purposes. Although I have gone bowling a couple of times, I have never gone roller skating at a rink. Some people do go by themselves, while others take along a friend or family member(s). I visited both of these facilities in order to conduct field research and do a micro-level analysis so as to gather primary data from the natural environment about society and patterns of social behavior. While in public, there are certain rules of behavior that are generally followed, which are considered acceptable by the members of society (McLeod, 2008). Individuals who do not follow these norms may be shunned or suffer some type of ramification (McLeod, 2008).
For this project I utilized the fact that I am a manager at a movie theatre and used our security system in order to observe my employees and how they interacted with each other as well as their customers.
Many Sociologist believe that studying deviant behavior can be exciting, rewarding, and fun. However, the study of deviance can also be stressful, difficult and filled with difficulties that can be extremely challenging. There are many ways to research and study deviant behavior whether it be in covert or overt observation strategies. Covert observation is referred to as the study in which the researcher observes a social group and does not let the subjects know they are being studied (Inderbitzin, Bates, & Gainey, 2016, p. 575). Overt observation refers to public observation in which the researcher makes the social group aware that they are being observed and the researcher participates in the behavior (Inderbitzin, Bates, & Gainey, 2016, p. 577).
Decent and street organize the community socially, and the way they coexist and interact has particular important consequences for its residents, and particularly for children growing up in the inner city (Anderson, 32). An incident occurred one day at the end of program when the students were being dismissed at 3:20 P.M. Sinu was sitting on a nearby stoop and the people who lived there came out and started an altercation with the students. This altercation escalated rapidly, as glass bottles broken, baseball bats, and wooden poles were clutched within the hands of the students and the adults. This altercation was broken up as quickly as possible before any physical action occurred and the police were called and did not show up until after
The ideal habitats for N. kaiseri are water pools and waterfalls (). The pattern of habitat selection in N. kaiseri is characterized by high occurrence in sandy substrates. This is presumably due to high velocity of water at the inner parts of the stream channel (Sharifi and Assadian, 2004) Sharifi et al, 2008). Pools and streamlets where this species is found are covered with different algae. N. kaiseri feeds on most small invertebrates particularly insects and their larvae in nature habitat and can hunt its prey inside the water, outside the water, or on the surface of water Reyahi- Khoram et al, 2016). The common causes of death in reintroduction are related to human activity, diseases, aggressiveness from other individuals and starvation
The practicum experience was based on using my math, social studies, science, and RTI sessions throughout all three phases. Six english language learners were in my math, social studies and science class; they were receiving english language development during their literacy segments. The RTI consisted of five students of which two were still in the english language development program for literacy. Two of the students reached levels where they were removed from RTI since the level scored on the NWEA reading test showed the students at fourth grade reading levels.
he group of about 10 people was seated around a booth at the Brimstone Grill in semi-formal attire. They talked in a genial yet professional tone and the time was around 7 P.M. From this it could be inferred that this was some sort of after work dinner amongst coworkers. This is also supported by the fact that there was one man in the center of the booth who appeared older than the rest of the individuals present. He appeared to be the boss or person in a managerial position. Very few at the table attempted to engage him in 1 on 1 conversation but, when he spoke all paused to hear what he had to say. This is compared to when others attempted to gather the attention of the table and failed to end sidebar conversations. This aversion to interacting directly with
The first place I contacted was St. John’s Lutheran Church in East Moline, Il. I called and talked to Cora Whipple who is the secretary. She informed me that they have food pantry that they do every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The duties Cora explained were packing up boxes and helping the recipients if necessary get the food to their vehicle.
On November 24, 2016, Officer LESSANE responded to the incident location in reference to assisting removing individuals from the business due to business closing down for the night. Upon my arrival, I could hear loud talking and screaming coming from the back of the business. Officer LESSANE and Sgt. GOETHIE walked around the business to make contact with the subjects. Upon walking around the business, I observed a large crowd of individuals that appeared as if they were attempting to cease a altercation. Officers then attempted to cleared the area in which I was informed by an individual (ANNA ALTOBELLI) that she was assaulted during the process of breaking up a physical altercation.
My practicum took place on September 7,2016 from nine thirty to ten thirty. The practicum took place at Impact Early College High School in Baytown. The class I observed was Ms. Nguyen’s class of juniors and seniors that contained twenty students, seven boys and thirteen girls. The class appeared to be alert and ready to learn. Since this was their second period class they already had enough time to shake off their fatigue. The subject was Pre-Calculous and the topic was operations of functions. Students entered the classroom in a calm manner and socialized until it was time to start class. The teacher instructed the students to take their seats and take five minutes to write their assignments into their academic calendar. The teacher went
