Explain The Components That Contribute To The Operations Of Health Care

There are five different components that contribute to the operations of healthcare. They are hardware, software, data, procedures and people. Hardware is the first step in the operations for any hospital or clinic. Reason being, the employees of said health organization will need access to a computer to preform, access and communicate with other health professionals or their patients. The way they can access this information is through any mobile device (Phone, iPod, portable device), computer or other technical devices. These are essential for the health organization to preform their daily operations.

Another component for the operations of healthcare is the software. This is essential due to the fact hardware needs instructions to preform the act and that is what software provides. An example of software would be the Electronic Medical record (EMR) that is used to document patients healthcare and any additional information they may need for their health.

An additional component of healthcare is data. This is important because this allows health professionals to gather and analyze information to complete the task at hand the best way possible. This would allow doctors and nurses to be able to treat patients the most efficient way while trying to keep cost relatively low at the same time. Moreover, if the health …show more content…

This task is important because it makes sure everything is done but most importantly it is done correctly. As with the other steps, this is important as well because if you run the finance department of the hospital, you need to ensure the bills are done correctly. The doctor needs to be sure he/she preforms their duties correctly with their patients and the information technology staff has to keep the hardware and software from failing. An example would be the IT employee to run the routine software update and to check to ensure the functionality of the program is running
