It feels like everyday I meet people who ask me what college I want to attend. I give them the usual list of colleges I wish to apply to, but when Hofstra University comes up, people ask me, “why do you want to apply to Hofstra University?” I say there are infinite reasons why I wish to go to Hofstra. The number one reason being that it is really close to home. Hofstra is an excellent school - one of the best schools in New York. Hofstra has over a 100 distinct majors and minors to choose from ranging from Biology to Engineering to American Studies. I plan to major in Biology, and Hofstra is the best for my major because it has resources to offer its students giving them hands on experiences. Being an AP student, I love to take arduous classes
I have fallen in love with UNCW after first-hand seeing it for myself last summer. I know a lot of alumni from UNCW and have heard nothing but positive things about the school, teachers, and its courses. I am interested in majoring marketing or business and UNCW excels in both of these areas for me. In addition, it provides many courses that assist me in meeting my goals for my career. I would love to attend UNCW because it is close to my hometown but also far enough to where I can be an independent. Not only do I believe the University of North Carolina Wilmington is the right fit for me and my future career but also has every aspect that I am looking for in a college. It has the perfect location, the perfect size, very affordable, and the
Yes. I would love to enter Minerva University. I think their teaching method is great. These days, most students are less care about education they mainly focus on getting a good job by having college certification. They compete each other to get a higher grade than others. Minerva University is not that kind of school. It is a school for educating students. That is the reason why they do not judge students based on their test scores or other backgrounds.
I am Teresa Loce. My desire of attending Queens College is driven by my past experience as an alumni and several other factors. Before I write about those areas allow me to describe what I am currently involved in. I have in the interim since graduating from Queens College, earned a Masters Degree in Early Childhood and have utilized my teaching license to work as a teacher in a day care center and currently a preschool. Presently I have come to the place where further licensure is needed and hence professional education to further my career. Therefore the opportunity to pursue studies at Queens College to obtain my Bilingual Extension Advanced Program appears to me as the clear course to move ahead as a
I chose Virginia Tech for a few reasons which included The College of Natural Resources and Environment, the Appalachian Mountains, and being known as Hokie. The college of Natural Resources and Environment is nationally ranked and known worldwide for their academics and field studies. Virginia Tech was one of the few colleges in the area that offered Wildlife Conservation as a major and I was set on my major since freshman year of high school. My cousin, Mark Jones, who is the head biologist of the Black Bear population for the East Coast attended Tech and I am striving to follow in his footsteps. I enjoy how the programs is hands on and competitive to all students in the program. I am alongside of students, graduated and not graduated, who
I have decided to apply to UNCW Honors College to excel in my studies and help me further my education. Being a part of the Honors College will help me in the future, as I plan to attend medical school. This is my second time applying to the UNCW Honors College. I am now a sophomore who has worked very hard to obtain good grades and a good GPA. My hard work has paid off as I made the Dean’s list this year. An expectation I hope to gain when being a part of the Honors College, is the one on one learning experience. In high school, I was enrolled in all AP courses, which were very small classes. I hope to have the same advantage in the honors courses. I also want to be in a group of all similar academic standings. In high school, I was in National
Western Oregon is a standard 4-year, medium sized college. It is located in the small, rural town of Monmouth, but only 10 miles from an urban city. Being primarily residential, Western Oregon brings a certain family vibe, which they claim you cannot find anywhere else. Many students say that their favorite part of Western Oregon is the size, since it gave them more one-on-one time with their professors. There are a total of eighty-three majors. Before financial aid and any scholarship money are entered the tuition is $8,274 for in-state students, while out-of-state student’s tuition is $21,759.
I am applying to Hofstra because I believe that the university can help me achieve my goals. From the time I was a young child, I knew I wanted to go into the medical field. While there is a long and difficult road ahead of me, I am sure that attending Hofstra University will help me go down that road.
I chose to attend Xavier University for many reasons. Some reasons include: continuing my education route, receiving a unique education, and strengthening my Christian beliefs. Since a second grader, I’ve always wanted to become a pediatric dentist and attend Xavier. Although my journey became rough, and seemed impossible, I can finally say, “I am a freshman at Xavier University of Louisiana, and I know for a fact that attending Xavier will allow me to become the best pediatric dentist I can be!”
I attend Central Lakes College because it 's closer to home. Central Lakes College had a certain aspect on campus with a friendly environment that seemed to me that nurtured the growth in education. What I mean by nurture the growth in education is that Central Lakes College has programs and people that overview your academic career. Programs such as TRIO help with my generals that correlates to transferring to a four-year university. I wanted to go to a community college before a university because it fits my budget better than going straight to a university. Choosing Central Lakes College was an easy choice because the academic and sports programs fit my personality. An education service that really cares about you.
There are many reasons I chose Liberty University for my degree. First, my family because I want them to have a better life once I’m out of school. It will take years for me to graduate from Liberty University but It’s worth the time for my family. I want them to have everything I didn’t get to have growing up; a house in a nice neighborhood and money so they can have a better education. Secondly, Is God and my faith that led me here to Liberty to follow my passion. Since I was a young girl I had a great interest in how the psyche works. Going to Liberty is just as much for myself as it is for my family. I want myself to know I have what it takes to finish school and have that since of accomplishment. These three reasons are why attend Liberty

The university I chose was Central Queensland and the reason is because I have always loved the lifestyle and culture of Australians and my friends are studying there too. The similarities between the university and Jamk university of Applied sciences is that they offer the same course that I am studying now which is nursing and the years to study the program is the same 3 years. The only difference is that they require tuition fee from students and it interesting to note that international students pay much money than their colleagues in other to gain this knowledge but here in Finland, tuition is free.
“In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure” (Bill Cosby). Reflecting back on my life I have dealt with numerous downfalls but I always bounce back. I was born in India and moved here when I was six years old. As I grew up in California I was not a bright student at first. I was enrolled in Carmichael Elementary in which I was the only one with Turban on my head, which caused me to get into a lot of fights with other students who were making fun of turban. Not knowing how to speak English at the time affected the way interacted with teachers and students. On the other hand my family always had a tight budget at home. Both of my parents worked at the store we owned which was the only source money. At school kids were always talking about their new shoes and the iPod which his or her parents got them. I didn’t get everything I wanted as a kid but as I got older I understand if did I could be a spoiled brat. When I moved from Carmichael to Sacramento and I was enrolled at Maeola R. Beitzel elementary. Going to this new school I already learned English so I made marvelous friends and was surrounded by positive people. Going from a chaos environment to this harmonious environment in part because I was speaking English, made me have unique personality .I was playing sports and growing as a student. Those years went by in no time. Now I am in high school and my family’s income has been growing. My mom changed her work to now at Jack in
