What Does Writing Means To You? I consider writing as one of the best ways to communicate nowadays. You can convey your ideas in such a way that the reader can feel and experience what he or she is reading. As a child, I’ve always hated writing, reading and even attending school. I often pretended to be sick so I won’t have to go to school. My parents knew that I was lying most of the time but they still let me get away with it. I don’t know if this was over trusting or they just accepted my decisions! I hated going to classes not because I hated the school or the teachers, and not because I didn’t have any friends, but simply because I felt that I wasn’t learning or exploring new things. I felt limited with the possibilities and the things I was truly passionate about. Teachers always taught what was on the syllabus and I really felt that it was like “if it’s not in the syllabus then you can’t learn it”. However, syllabus were designed to make it easier for teachers to teach and not for students to learn. I honestly don’t think that syllabus are bad; its only when they are poorly applied. …show more content…

Think of it, most what we do is already unconscious; we breathe, sleep, we get hungry, we eat and we even think certain ways because of our genetic design. However, what makes us human is our imagination that allows us to create and explore things that didn’t exist before. And our critical thinking that allows us to adapt. I believe this lack of critical thinking is imprinted at school. We learn to become submissive, and we learn to take it with us to our adult
