Romeo and Juliet were lovers from different world whose love was star crossed. Juliet last name was Capulet, while Romeo is a Montague. These families are in a feud that has existed since ancient times. They meet by chance at a party hosted by the Capulets. Through their “true” love of only about five days, they lose the lives of six people as of result of Romeo and Juliet. Are Romeo and Juliet really to blame for these events? The Feud is to blame for the events of the books, because if Capulet and Montague were not at odds then Romeo and Juliet would not had any of this occur.

If there was no feud then Mercutio and Tybalt’s death’ would not of happened. Their brawl was as a result of their feud, because since Romeo attending the Capulet party, Tybalt was angry and was looking for Romeo “Boy, this shall not excuse the injuries That thou hast done me. Therefore turn and draw”(3.1.37-38) When Romeo refused to fight Tybalt, Mercutio steps in for Romeo.Then when Tybalt murders Mercutio, ROmeo wants to avenge him and kills Tybalt. This wouldn’t of happened if there was no feud between the Capulets and Montagues, because then Tybalt wouldn’t need a reason to be mad at Romeo, resulting their deaths not occuring. …show more content…

Since Juliet did not yearn to be married off to Paris she created a plan to run away. “I pray you, tell my lord and father, madam,I will not marry yet. And when I do, I swear It shall be Romeo, whom you know I hate, Rather than Paris. These are news indeed” (3.5.120-123). Juliet wanted to be with Romeo, however the feud prevented that so to escape the wretched plan Juliet has to follow a quick plan that backfired completely.
