I love working with children and would thrive at an opportunity to learn and teach children. I would love to be apart of this program because I was fortunate enough to apart of a similar program because my parents were always working. My parents are immigrants and were always working late nights and couldn’t take care of me after I came home from school. I had fun in that program because they taught me how to play various sports and I learned to play my favorite sport soccer and now I’m on a varsity soccer team. It was amazing to play and not worry about being by myself at home and just to have fun and making friends. I’m very fortunate I had program like YLC as a child that taught me that no matter our background we can become
I have developed a passion for working with children over the past few years. Even though my past work experience has not involved children I believe that I have a natural ability to connect with them. I am a very friendly person and passionate about helping others. Friends and family members trust me with their children and I have babysitted for them in the past. As a teacher’s assistant I’ll be able to play a hands-on role in child development. The role as a teacher assistant is important to me because I will be able to help the teachers and the children. As a person that likes to help others I will be able to take care of the smaller details, as the teacher dedicates their time on furthering the children’s education. I’ll also have the opportunity
I am privileged to be one of the remarkable students qualified to join Eureka High School’s National Honor Society. I have been looking forward to applying to this organization as it provides influential help in our society. I would be privileged to join this distinguished association because it would provide me with opportunities to get involved in my community. As a hardworking, helpful, and friendly individual, I feel that I would make an auxiliary member to this organization. I demonstrate the qualities that are necessary to join this prestigious society, including leadership, character, scholarship, and service.
I want to do when I finish school. My mother always told me that I would be a babysitter, because I like to take care of kids. On the other hand, I thought that I wanted to be a teacher However, being a student for twelve long years I noticed how children behaved in school. In my mind, I knew that wasn’t the future job for me. When I was in the third grade, my grandmother had a stroke. Since she had gotten sick, I had to take care of her .This is what persuaded me to become a Registered Nurse.
I have always like studying and helping others. I realized that without education people, I, don´t have a future or an opportunity in life. Joining the Beta Club is a way for me to get experience and knowledge in something that I like to do or something I will like to do. Helping others with an activity that they can´t do by themselves without getting a reward but just the knowledge that you did something good, is a great thing to feel. Aiming towards my goals and dreams is one of my main priorities. Dedicating my time and effort towards it, is letting me become a better student, citizen, and person.
I was ecstatic to be able to be involved with this program. I volunteered to help with the program for 4 years and it was the best experiences I had with children. I did multiple things for the children: I was a chaperone for one of the groups, I made there lunches for them one year, and also made the activities for the children to enjoy.
I would like to join Beta Club to further my leadership skills and to work with teenagers my age to help fundraise for the needy. It’s important to help out our community locally. This means both actively helping out at different agencies such as soup kitchens and animal shelters, as well as helping to keep our environment clean. By working together, I think we will all be able to reach our goals and will be able to impact our community. Along the way we will help others and gain valuable life skills.
I have been a preschool teacher, teaching mixed age children from 18 months to 5 years, for over 10 years. I started as a work study employee, while attending the Community College of Philadelphia in 2006, to a part-time teaching assistant while attending Temple University in 2010. This led me to a lead-teacher position after graduation and then to a program coordinator. I have developed effective working relationships with children in the past years. This position has helped me improve my teamwork and interpersonal skills by cooperating with other teachers in planning teaching materials according to the Reggio Emilia approach and by sharing teaching resources. I decided that working with children, understanding and assisting in their education,
I am interested in working with the pediatric population between the ages of 3-8 years old. The first reason for this is my love for children and my goal to stay with my current employer upon graduation which is Hillsborough County Public School District. The second reason is I have had firsthand opportunity to work with special needs children both at work and at home whose needs included multiple tiered services such as occupational, physical, and speech therapy. While working with these children I found great satisfaction and a sense of purpose in helping them obtain life
As stated earlier, I realized from early on that one of my main purposes in life was to be an aid and helping hand to others, and as I went through life, I began to notice that I was especially sensitive to the needs of children. I believe that children are one of the most underserved population groups amongst us, as a whole. I understand that there a multitude of organizations that are directed at serving children. However, I do not believe that these organizations reach enough children. There are too many children that have yet to be reached and helped. With this being so, I believe that a program focused on not only
I have always known that I wanted to make a difference in society by becoming a teacher, due to my love of children and helping people understand various topics. I have worked with children by babysitting, instructing karate, leading children’s Sunday school, and working at a summer camp. By doing these activities I have established bonds with diverse groups of children, but at the same time, I kept a professional and respectable boundary. I have successfully worked inside a planning department alongside people of all ages and personalities in planning activities and lessons for kids.
Being part of the honors program in middle school and high school gave me wonderful learning experiences. Therefore, It is crucial to be in the Texas A&M International University for my university career. Giving to the community, building important relationships, and setting an example for the young ones in my family is why I would like to take part in this amazing organization.
Ever since I was a little girl, I knew that in my future I wanted to become a teacher. I always looked up to my teachers, especially the ones I had in elementary school. I even played 'school' with my friends and pretended I had my own classroom. I loved being in charge. During a summer, I was given the opportunity to work as an Energy Express mentor and work with a group of eight children. This was one of the most wonderful experiences I have ever been through. I was a mentor to help guide the children, and by the end of the summer I felt as if I had really accomplished something. I am planning to pursue a career in elementary education. I love children, and just knowing that as a
The origin of my passion for helping children emanated from my own family history. I was born into a low-income family; the eldest daughter of two immigrant parents. My parents emigrated from the Dominican Republic, and barely spoke English. Being a young bride, my mother had her first child when she was just fourteen years old, and subsequently, bore four more children. My father worked menial jobs to make ends meet and support the family. Unfortunately, with little education or knowledge of the English language, these jobs yielded meager monetary earnings.
The reason I am interested in this program is because I want to have real experiences. I no longer want to look at life through a computer screen. I want to be the one researching and challenging myself in every possible way. I am a very open-minded and ambitious person. I am prepared to tackle any task that comes my way. I have little outdoor experience, but I want nothing more than to learn. Adventures are the best way of learning so this position was naturally appealing to me. This program will give me the opportunity to apply what I learned in class to the real world and allow me to escape the ordinary. I am a freshman in college with a massive desire for learning. I wish to leave my own trail and be the ripple in a wave that will produce
